I’ve never seen Lp used with j channel, actually 1000 iq move, it also gives you room for error when there normally isn’t any

Thanks. Definitely not a traditional move but it worked out I just made sure the LP was not resting right on the J channel, it’s worked out great!

Thank you for showing this, haven't found something about siding in this context in terms of what to use for the edges of the siding (J Channel btw)

I used what I had at hand, Sometimes you have to get creative! Glad it helped

That looks great! I am going to do the exact same thing on my house. I’ve never done siding and wondered, is that Hardie Siding you are putting up? I like how it slips under the top vinyl channel. I was dreading trying to mitre Hardie trim at those angles. Never occurred to me to use the vinyl channel with Hardie 👍🏻

My siding is LP smart siding, not as robust as Hardie but I would say equally as thick. Yes the JChannel worked out well for me, hides all the cuts and adds another level of protection…if not using the J Channel you could run a good bead of color matched caulk. No leaks at all and I have a lot of wind driven rain in my area. Thanks for viewing!
