Is the Bluetti PV120s any good?
Short vid on the Bluetti PV120s, I had originally thought it was called a SP120L. Performance is great right out of the box, I have no input on how durable it will be but will be sure to keep ya posted if it breaks easily etc…
Anyway I have this paired with a Bluetti AC60 which is also a nice little unit so far!

Eg4 6000xp Connected to Grid (How To)
มุมมอง 16K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is the basic hook up of the EG four 6000 XP to a grid panel, you should always ensure that your panel is configured in such a way that this is appropriate. I attached this to my main grid panel in which my neutrals and grounds were essentially tied, there is a separate procedure to doing this if you were adding to a sub panel please do your own homework. Thanks for watching.

I bought / installed the same Kolpin 48-60 universal plow on my ATV 2011 Arctic Cat 550 TRV (2-Up). Instructions stated 45-60 minutes to assemble the blade. I started at 8:30 AM, had 1.5 hour lunch and completed at 2:30 PM. Yes. That long - with a large cup of coffee and my reading glasses. Retired people with bad knees/hips take longer time. smiles. For my ATV's under belly, I used 4 x U-Bolts and 2x2 hard wood spacers. And I cut off the tips of extra long U-Bolt threads as well. During its install I did add a few more flat washers and greased its swivel points. All installed "as it should" and very happy with its looks, with its ease of angle change and with its safety tilt ability. It's worth buying "on sale". Recommend this adjustable plow...
Good ideas! Definitely worth on sale, with a little modification it is a good unit, haven’t had issues!

I’ve never seen Lp used with j channel, actually 1000 iq move, it also gives you room for error when there normally isn’t any
Thanks. Definitely not a traditional move but it worked out I just made sure the LP was not resting right on the J channel, it’s worked out great!
My 2022 F150 with 17,000 got 40oz out put 50oz in. Old stuff was pretty dark but no metalic. Even put my pinky inside and no junk in the bottom. I have heard the LV changes color when it's hot, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I opted to put in redline MTL as i think it is a better match for my transfer case since it is the old school kind. Not the the new fancy auto ones with clutches.
Good deal! You won’t regret it
Note: "unloosen" is tightening....
A poor man's inverter. High frequency, output transformerless inverters like this offer a shorter life expectancy, a poorer surge capacity, and because they lack an output transformer to provide galvanic isolation between its DC boost stage and its AC output, they pose a potential fire risk when powering a home's AC appliances. No thanks. Not in my home.
That’s what I like.. a job site with a lot of ladders
Can you show us what the app looks like. I currently own MPP’s 6548 and was just curious how much better the app is for your 6000
Did you figure out the settings for getting the grid to charge?
Yes, I did a follow up video on it, you have to configure the batteries which was pretty straight forward. Thanks for watching
I also have a gripe with signature solar I tried to return my 3000 W inverter and pay the difference for a 6,000 XP and they wanted to charge me a restocking fee!!!
I’m familiar with the settings for Growatt inverters and wish they had a setting on this one that corresponds to SBU where the grid only feeds the loads and battery charger when battery SOC or voltage is at the low set point. I have a6000XP that I haven’t installed yet and am sure it will do that. It’s just not clear to me yet how to set it up. I set the load priority to EUI 8pm to 6am because I have free at night power plan with Reliant. That supplies the load and also charges the battery. I’m sure the 6000 XP will do all that but old farts like me don’t learn new new things easily.
You can program the charge specifications through the app, also if you hook it up to the wifi dongle, your tech support can log in remotely and assist if needed. Thanks for sharing
Your telling me eg4 won't backfeed the grid ?
@@underthewagon7761it can when you are powering your panel with it, so you’ll need a manual disconnect in that situation. But with the 6000xp you can not sell power back if that’s what u mean. The 18k will do that
hey how many steel belts does the tire have
Not sure on that but I’ve rubbed plenty of curbs with no issues…62k miles now and need a new set next year likely
Can something as heavy as a powered retractable awning be mounted to OSB sheathing? I have sips walls with only two closely spaced studs.
I would anchor to studs if possible, OSB just would hold very well to strong winds, you can run a scab board between to studs from the inside and mount to that. Thanks for watching!
Thanks buddy🤙🏼
Is this semi gloss finnish and did you dilute the paint?
Semigloss yes, you can use a little Floetrol to thin out and make it sit smoother yes.
The ingriid power input on the inverter 120,240,480 ??
Run the wire through the conduit BEFORE you strap it to the wall with all the bends and turns, then secure it. Work smart, not hard...
Great idea…I always do things the hard way though lol
Quick question, I want to install an inverter to ack like a ups. I already have a transfer switch but my question is, if I want to add solar later and battery only during power failure or high electricity rate period. Can the solar offset the load with the grid instead of using the solar + battery or only the grid if solar isn't strong enough? can it be (solar + grid) -> load? can it be done with the 6000xp or I need an hybrid inverter? thank you
And just like that, my dilemma is solved. Many thanks!
My electrician has never done an inverter before so i sent him this video😂 thanks
Haha, good luck!
Im planning on installing one today but it doesnt have the battery percentage, just reads the volts. At 50% battery life would it read 24 volts?
24v golf cart? Should be 36 or 48 more commonly. I forget what the exact voltage reading is for 36 vs 48v but can quickly google it. You can also check each battery independently to see what it’s voltages fully charged and compare that to what a standard battery of that capacity Would be most typically 8v batteries hooked in series 8.4v or higher for each individual battery
It’s a 48v golf cart. The part I got I thought had percentage on it but it doesn’t. I googled though and answered my question but really appreciate you getting back to me so fast. I could decipher it myself while riding but the kids might not be able to so I’m just gonna get one that reads percentage 😅
Thank you!!
I have a single 100amp service panel for my small home, a 6000xp and would like to do what you did here but do I need sub panel in between my main panel and the 6000xp?
No, you do not need a sub panel between, that’s just how my scenario is. You can connect to your inverter without that, just make sure if you are going to back feed your panel you put a dead man switch in so your not back feeding to the grid.
@ScottieBMan Thanks. I had my my uncle look at it, he been an electrician in Colorado for 50 years, he said it's super easy. Just add a 50 amp breaker to my main service panel (had to make room by stacking another low amp circuit to one that could handle a little more current) feed the 50 amp breaker with 6 gauge wire to the 6000xp's grid input..simple. I thought I would have to upgrade my entire service panel but he pointed out that once my solar is running and supplying power from either the batterys or panels, it will be powering a good portion of my electric needs..off grid, so it will be just fine. And yes, the transfer switch I wired to my service panel is a reliance pro Trans 2 (it can run 6 circuits) and takes each circuit over once manually selected, off grid. So there is no backfeed
@@A.C.71correct. You will have to run a circuit from the inverters LOAD back to the panel on a separate run however. But yes that is correct.

Watch "6000xp is not UL9540 certified. YOU CANNOT LEGALLY install in the US along with solar panels" on TH-cam to learn why you might want to reconsider buying this inverter.
Not too concerned about that vid…considering there are thousands out there working well 👍
At 2:38, you were talking about outlookers, not purlins.
Stupid question. How does this tie into the grid and provide power to all the circuits?
Yes, it can power a small panel such as a sub panel. The way I showed was how to connect power from the grid to inverter. You can “back feed” a panel in a similar fashion just not the way I showed.
@@ScottieBMan thank you for the rapid reply. I'd want it to back feed and power up my house when grid goes offline....
Im watching this 4 months after you posted so things may have changed. I got the 6000xp a few days ago and did not need dongle to get 220v out. One thing I noticed you need to turn on battery breaker on 6000xp before you power your battery so the battery boot can give the pre-charge system to charge the caps in the 6000xp. Look forward to more videos on the setup.
I had to switch on the EPS switch lol! Thanks for watching
My lazy Susan is wobbling really bad.

Should me able to just plug in the cord provided
I have owned this trailer for a number of years. Solid build quality. I have replaced the wood decking once. When I did I sprayed the frame with black rustoleum paint . I also added grease cups with zerk fittings to keep the bearings alive. It sits outside all the time in rain and snow uncovered. Would buy another one.
With a few years under my belt, agreed!
You are a moron.
Not level plumb you goon
Scott, I APPRECIATE this video!!! Without a doubt this IS the best method of making a "structural sound" 'ladder' type/outrigger type' of 'extended gable ends'. Simply, each chord of the truss is SIMPLY made 3 1/2" 'vertical height' less than the other trusses...as you state. I've watched several 'ladder' nail-ons, and they aren't anywhere the strength of these. There should be a chapter in the 'how to frame' book of how to do this... You just shown how to do it correctly. And in retaliation for wasting my time reading his arrogant comments, namely 'Billy SmackDownTexasTurkey',,,I'm gonna drop my chords 11 1/2" on my gable ends. I'm going to extend the peak purlins out 4'-5' made from 2x12's just to pis'd off 'BillySmakTxTurdkey'. I'm gonna make my rake angle back to 1 1/2' out at the lower end, so the whole shebang will be angled. Like the old barns that had the hay hook and loft above. And I'll make my walls 'vertical level',,,or plumb...just 'cause I can talk that way and know vertical from hostility. "what did he say?". Thanks for your efforts. Hey World, this is how to make a correct 'ladder', 'outrigger', 'extended gable end', or whatever you wanna call it. Thanks Scott Thomas for your engineering and efforts.
Yes I did quite a bit of research on that! I didn’t have building plans to follow. Glad this helped you! Thank you for sharing and good luck with your build sir!
That is absolutely the wrong nozzle for painting cabinets. That is only good for staining a fence or painting stucco.
Worked good for me
I am in the same boat as you, I got the 6000xp have it up and running but can't get it to charge, I am only using 120 for the grid in, no solar at this time, yes the manual is worthless unless you are a inverter engineer and understand it, sort of wish I went with the plug and play inverters like BLUETTI AC300 at this point, I too am waiting for a response from Signature Solar, I will be waiting for your next video to see how you got it to work. So far my inverter and EG4 14.3 power wall is just hanging on the wall but can't use it, afraid to get solar and wonder if I can figure out it charges.
I was able to get it to charge with the “quick charge” functional through the app, I put 1600 work of solar out and can charge my two batteries rather quickly, I would just go with that. If you get the wireless dongle set up through the app SS can remote in and change the settings. Nice choice on the power wall!
@@ScottieBMan I bought the AIM's battery charger to charge my EG4 power wall for now till I get solar panels, trying to get the 120 volts to charge batts thru the grid in on inverter is not working and I am not that techy to try and get it working on the iPhone or laptop, when I get the solar panels I won't need the AIM's charger very much after that, when hooking up solar I hope it's a plug and play and not a bunch of programming to get it to work, was not aware of the programing on the 6000xp before I bought it, maybe someday I will learn, will be setting up iPhone to dongle soon. I have heard on other videos that charging the batts with 120 volts does not work well, most say you need 240 in to get it to work.
Ok I hope this answer helps you and many others.. Just 3 people that are doing videos on these 6000xp inverters and helping install and use. DIY solar fun with Ray Loveless, Rodney Hunt, and Will Prowse. Search those 3 individuals but there are many more but these 3 will answer enough questions to get you going. Eg4-6000 will NOT accept 120v on a single line input for grid or generator input..they MUST BE 240v or it will not recognize the input. Not really clearly indicated in the manual but several minor comments to such.
Guess I’ll avoid signature solar.
Thank you for your posting. I am new to solar and always wanted to supplement some solar to my grid. I just want to do right around 6k solar system with grid-tie and maybe adding a battery for later. Here are my questions: 1. is EG4 6000xp usable as grid tied/hybrid? 2. If I don't use more electricity than what panels produce, can inverter charge battery instead back feeding? 3. I will start without battery first, can EG4 600xp be used as grid tied inverter without battery? Sorry for too basic questions. I am trying learn about solar system and DIY later, but so many info out there. Thank you!
Yes u can use as grid tied inverter it is capable of passing grid power through the inverter to power loads without solar input. You will need a battery to use with this inverter. If you produce more solar power than what is required for your panel loads it will charge the batteries yes. I would look at the eg4 wall mount indoor battery that just came out…looks better than server rack batteries.

I am new as well and am still learning, but to be clear, this inverter will NOT backfeed the grid. You can pull power from the grid to run your home and charge batteries, but you will not be able to send excess power back to the grid for credit from your utility company. You woul need the EG4 18K to do that.

I have that sprayer and the instructions indicate you'll get a finer smoother spray with the other gun with the blue nozzle. And my results with that unit are smooth and much less splatter than what you're showing. Why did you use the wall/area spray gun instead of the fine cabinet gun?
I left the nozzle out overnight and the tips dried overnight as I recall, initially it was spraying ok…the job turned out really nice the paint laid down…watch the end, that’s for watching
This is BS
Thanks for sharing
Looking good. You're going to be making electric soon. I work in the freight industry. When a pallet is is flat it's more likely to get damaged. Keeping the solar panels upright and support them with 2x4 would be better when shipping them freight.
The second set I got came on their side like that…not a scratch on them.
@@ScottieBMan Nice! They should always ship them that way.
we you able to buy 5 panels or did they just ship them 5 at a time? I like the panel mount quick and easy.
I just bought 5 with special request even though it says 10 minimum on SignatureS website. They don’t ship them well in that scenario, I bought 10 more and was much better packaging then
Thin the paint down...can't rely on the paint to lay down.
