With the holy water all bosses except Dracula are ridicolously easy. Kind of like the robot masters in Mega Man are super easy with the right weapon, but with the Mega Buster Elecman and Fireman are next to impossible to beat.
No matter what I'm doing, where I am, or what time it is, I will never say no to these OST's. Hands down my favorite series of all time and Ive played A LOT of games over the years. Perfection.

After megaman 2, Castlevania II might have been the second game I rented for my NES in the late 80s. Great memories. Inexpressible frustration! The soundtrack stays with me, above all else. Oh, and sweet, sweet escape from the reality of being a nerdy, awkward 5th grader.
Even though I can't get past the clock tower level in CV III for the life of me, meaning I've heard the song a billion times, it's still amazing to listen to.
why, why those music are legit the best ! With all of the sound evolution in gaming, with all the new technologie, those 8 bit musics are still among the best music video games have.
I can put Wicked Child, Walking on the Edge and Heart of Fire on loop and be happy all afternoon. And I'd put these three sequential tracks up against any other three sequential tracks on any other NES game.
My favorite is Castlevania II. I'll admit that Castlevania 3 is actually a better game, but Simon's Quest is the game that I love the most. It was an adventure, exploring your way across the terror-tory of Transylvania, finding new secrets, unraveling mysteries... Yeah I know other games did that better; it's all just the nostalgia talking because I played it as a child. But nothing can replace how I feel about that game.

I kept going back to playing these tunes during my Dungeons and Dragons: Curse of Strahd game. The first time they entered the vampire's castle and I hit Vampire Killer was hilarious. Also, I made a point of having a druid collecting graveyard dirt for a ritual... Disguised himself as a duck when the party got close. When they disturbed him, he dropped his bag full of dirt. So, they literally got a silk bag from the graveyard duck. 🦆 💰 😆😆😆

It's a good one. Apart from simply the way it sounds, it really help set the mood for towns during daylight hours.

I still believe The Silence of Daylight is the best classic Castlevania theme.
Silence of Daylight isn't my personal favorite, but it does perfectly set the mood for walking through cities in Castlevania II.
