The legendary Castlevania 3 soundtrack has had an 8BitStereo Revamp and is updated with better quality, text, tracklist and visual background! It's much better! th-cam.com/video/hZyWLVqkZVM/w-d-xo.html
My question to the composers has nalways been, did they know they were on the cusp of a video game music revolution when the Castlevania and Simon's Quest came out, cause with this game's soundtrack, they really pulled out all the stops. One of the greatest musical scores. It's like, ok, we're hired to compose music for a friggin 8bit video game but we're gonna put in all of our musical creativity and bloody tears (see what i did there) into this project cause maybe in one day in the future people will call us geniuses.
I think, as good as the music really is, the inspiration was really clear, therefore their goal was a distinct one. ""Translate in an 8 bit chip-tunes, music from Hammer film productions and Warner brothers Monster movie." I mean this is not denying their genius, but we know they not create this from nothing.
This whole OST still gives me the damn chills. I would go ahead and say they are my favorite set of compositions ever made for a videogame. People will go ahead and say Megaman 2 or something is their favorite for the NES, but this just has so much more variety and complexity than that. Megaman 2 is something like 80s rock and metal and that's all there is. Castlevania 3 to me is more inspired by classic movie music and 70's prog rock. It's got dissonance, tension, groove, and some of the best melodies in videogames. It has it all for me.
This entire soundtrack plays rent free in my mind. Always. As awesome as the Original Japanese OST is, this sound has an almost "Banjo" sound to it and it really brings me back to the good ol' days of NES Gaming.
I think castlevania 3 has the BEST FUCKING ENTRY SONG EVER of the first 3.It even competes with castlevania 4 with simons tune. Even a game as hard as this, it ends up being nostalgic for me when i didn't play it as a kid.I was wholly impressed with the music. I really like the forest, and i really like this song and a couple others too.
PKMN Trainer Red another thing, there is a song that comes later on which is also quite good.I'm not sure the name but i really like it.Overall, i think this game has a top notch soundtrack.
The whole pace and beat of the 1st level of the game sounded like as if the developers were saying "Yeah, part 2 sucked. Let's forget about the whole thing and go!"
Me and my old school mate used to play this game. My mate was not skilled like as I do, so I completed this game. He was glad when we completed. We were only 12-13 at that time. Now I am 36 years old man.
Wenceslao Futanaki I would say that that’s more SNES era. In the NEs era they made a bunch of... not so good games like NES metal gear(and the less said about snakes revenge the better) and the TMNT game with the darn dam level.
@@AstroBlakeD And they don't suck. It's sad to say but, like most companies do, they move on. Konami had some real trouble and resulted in some major shit games in the late 2000's. So do you keep doing the same ol' same till you're bankrupt, no, they went to where the money is. Sad? yes, do I like it? No. Even with a great franchise like Silent hill, you need quality on a consistent basis
Classic. I remember listening to and liking Demon Seed over and over again when I was a kid. I also liked Epitaph, but it was kinda scary with the laugh mimic in the background.
Man NES sound and music was so amazing...I guess the nostalgia is insane as this was literally my entire childhood. Whenever I hear any NES music I'm literally transported back in time when I was a kid and everything I went through. I remember my grandma dying & the way I coped was playing Castlevania 3. Insane that a video game can help you get through hard times in your life but its true. Miss the 80s!!!
Prelude really has a 1980s sword and sorcery cinematic quality to it. Just that opening. I can see the barbarian on horseback, clad in steel and fur, looking off the cliff top at the castle in the distance before the film title fades into the screen in a cool looking font above the castle in the sky.
So happy, Bloodstained - Curse of the Moon is strongly a homage to this game and even fixes some of its minor issues. Dracula's Curse is way better than Super Castlevania IV.
the way Aquaris kicks in at 15:19 after Nightmare just demands your attention hearing this whole ost again is amazing it's like beating the game all over again without all the heartache and anger of dying over and over lol thanks for the uplaod can't wait for it to get to the dracula tunes
Clockwork is a theme that i have always kept presente in my mind since the day I heard it in the early nineties! these and megamans themes never leave me
I'm listening to this through earbuds and it sounds honestly amazing. I remember my younger brother playing this game when we were kids- the way this sounds is the way my memory of this game fools me into thinking it sounded when we played it back then. The work you put into this makes hearing this music a whole new experience. Great job!
awesome soundtrack, love castlevania 3 dracula's curse. all 3 games for the nes was magic. man i just want to play them all so bad now. what a amazing game series, and you know it was magic in them days when konami was behind it fun days.
I just found all your postings... I love it so much thank you one thousand times over for posting all of these great soundtracks with such great detail!
I want to hear the mad forest again, because it is that good.I hope the future castlevanias use it, as it is underrated.I like demon seed too, its very catchy.
man thank you so much for posting this great album, 1 of the best soundtracks ever made..this is my own tribute, hope you might liked.. & BELMONT CLAN FOREVER!!
They really did a hell of a job with this games soundtrack. with just the bleeps that 8bit nintendo can give out this sounds better than alot of 16bit snes games
The "Aquarius" theme looks familiar to me. I think Apioeus made a remix of that theme and put that remixed theme in his SM64 hack: mario's nightmare v1.1
I only played this (and the other old Castlevania games) when they were put on the Wii but I do entirely feel this is easily one of the best NES games ever. Like the Mario 3 of hard games, even including being what people wanted the last numbered release to be, and then some.
I concur. Please do it, Wiiguy! While it would be cool to have it by Halloween, as I like to listen to Castlevania during that wonderful day, I think we can all wait patiently because it'll be worth it.
I came here because 2:04 was in the intro of Jontron's Howling II review and though i watched it a bunch and the tune was always so catchy i never searched it up until now, I'm glad I did all of this is just awesome music.

Además quiero agradecerte por poner en cada uno de tus videos un link de descarga para coleccionarlas y escuchar cada una de las melodías por separado. One of my favorite video game soundtracks ever.
31 years later... Aquarius still stands out in my mind as clear as the day I played C3.
Timeless tune. Along with Wicked Child from CV1.
I liked 0:00 - 27:30 the best.
I've finally beaten this game after 59.5 hours and I can't stop listening to this phenomenal OST!
"Aquarius" and "Riddle" are just sick. I freaking love this game
Best of the original trilogy by far. This one gave me the most joy as a kid. Different playable characters!? Heck yeah!

@Marcelo Zuniga And they still went beyond. Hell, they made a game that pushed the NES hardware so much, that clone systems can't even really play it.
I think, as good as the music really is, the inspiration was really clear, therefore their goal was a distinct one. +BenjamminClark Mega Man 3 is far better ost then 2 but it still has some classic songs.
+emmanuel leon So true, so true. It upsets me that there's some kind of MM2 brainwash when MM3 is clearly the best.
aestheticstorm MM3 is just a better Mega Man game all around.
I would argue 'Clockwork' may be the most perfect complex NES track ever. It really sounds like if a clock could be musical in its workings.
Jonathan Kozenko Bach would be impressed :)
