- Besides some hiccups it was like a really clean run! Let's see if I'm brave enough to even go for the 44:XX!
Rules for this run:
Beat the game as fast as possible with Knuckles.
You must also collect all seven Chaos Emeralds in this category. Timing is done by real time, and begins when you select your file, and ends when the in-game timer freezes after defeating the Titanic Monarch 2 boss.

Definitely gave me a better idea on how a 2D sonic game is played, though I have to ask how you're breezing through the Emerald Zones like that?
Like I know you're using the game's momentum to blitz through it, I'm just not entirely sure how you manage to build that momentum up and sustain it to begin with
Moving sideways in the Special Stages gives you a lot more speed than just walking straight forward.
By jumping and therefore not touching the ground as much as possible you sustain said speed.
And then you get additional speed from bouncing of the walls.
This method lets you get the emeralds far more faster than building up speed with the blue orbs.
Even using the PC-exclusive feature where you can increase your mach speed by simply pressing Y is slower than these strafe jumps.

I'm a bit late to the comments but I wanted to know how were you able to have the game still play the stages music while going super? (I always wanted to know if there was a way to do this because sometimes the stages music are a better bop than the superform music)
There are actually two ways to achieve this.
1.) Go to the level select and select 6214 with the sound test to disable it.
2.) Get the Mania Mod Manager, select "Codes" and then tick the option "Disable Super Music".
I recommend 2.) because unlike 1.) you don't have to repeat it every time you restart the game.

Inside your folder where Mania is installed there's a file called "Settings.ini".
Open it.
There's a line inside said file which says [Game].
Add devMenu=y under [Game].
It should look like this:
[Game]
devMenu=y
After you've saved your new config, go into your game and press Esc to open the dev menu.

How come you weren’t losing rings from the smoke in oil ocean act 2?
It's about HOW you enter act 2. You maybe noticed that at the end of act 1 I stand at a very specific spot. This ensures that when I fall through the floor I actually avoid grabbing the pulley. And because of that the gas doesn't diseappear and will not lose rings because of that. In that state I can even restart the act and the gas would be still there and I wouldn't lose rings.
