  • Working with Groove Clips and Looping in Cakewalk by Bandlab isn't as hard as it may seem. All you need is enough information to get started. This is a follow up to a previous video where I covered Looping in a shallow sense. After seeing many ask questions I created this follow up which goes a little deeper into the subject.
    Special thanks to Adamental for helping out on this one.

    Thanks for producing a well structured and low key tutorial that doesn't miss anything important. You tube seems to be over populated with loud overstimulating videos that I find hard work. I love the tone of your work. thank you so much.

    I was looking for weeks for a great tutorials on loops in cakewalk and most is just about dropping audio into cakewalk mostly drums and so on. This is going to the depth I need to understand how to do this. many thanks. 2 things. You mentioned this is a continuation on a previous video, but on the list the previous video is on the Pro channel. I cannot find the basic one you refer to, Could you link that? Also could you make another one like this for beginners and some example of pitching cutting editing and so on. In this video you explained how pitching is automatically adjusted, but your example you used only clips with C roots. I would be grateful to see how it will work together something you draw from different scales. Many samples do not have a note on the scale or the bmp. Many thanks again~~

    But how to apply this looping to your own recorded audio - vocals or intstruments? Daw doesn't recognise them loops and that streching method doesn't work. So for me worked only the chopping and duplicating but it takes so much more time...

    Best Cakewalk tutorials! ANy chance to make a tutorial on how to use Sonarworks headphones correction plugin as a MonitoringFX inside Cakewalk?

    • @Homestudiosimplifed
      @Homestudiosimplifed  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pashkuli Keyboard aw shucks, that’s very kind of you.
      As for Sonarworks... notta a believer in that software. I tried it and I have to say, it was lacking. At least for me. Maybe I’ll give it another shot someday... 😎

    • @PASHKULI
      @PASHKULI 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Homestudiosimplifed Yes, it introduces a bit of latency anyway. If you happen to have a pair of headphones supported by their list, it is a must to have the plugin. Of course a tutorial regarding MonitoringFX (the one that got bypassed bu default when we export to audio) will be highly appreciated and is highly anticipated.

    hello - thanks for the video. I'm still stuck with my looping creation for my guitar rift. Every time I use the loop construction I have to change the notes to 'No slice' or it slows up my loop. Then I can't seem to have groove clip because again it just changes the speed. So frustrating, please help!

    • @Homestudiosimplifed
      @Homestudiosimplifed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you’re making it harder in yourself than you need to. I would record your initial chord progressions to a click and then find a section that feels right. Trim it down to the right size (4 bars, 8 bars, etc.) then hold Ctrl+D to copy it as many times as needed. Next, drag the end of each loop to overlap the next for a seamless cross fade! Hope this helps!

      You have to change the workflow into advanced mode with the dropdown menu in the very top right. It's kind of annoying you can't access it in Basic mode. Maybe there is a way, I am totally new to Cakewalk.
