Love seeing you back in a mk1. My mk1 has ended up being my daily for nearly 2 months after a problem with my mk3 and mechanics messing me about. The 3.2 dsg would have been my choice iver the 180 automatic. Better gearbox plus the sound is better. Enjoy Scotland in it as I loved doing the NC500 in my mk3 in May.

@@TheParrottBros I've got a TT 3.2 V6 manual in Dolomite grey. It is factory standard aside from the KW V2 coilovers. Car has done 80k miles. Well looked after and cared for. Is going in for a paint correction end of this month.
First thing I did on the 3.2 I bought is fit a throttle controller. WOW, talk about a difference. Fair throws you back in your seat. They must be seriously detuned as factory as accelleration is at least 2 times faster, possibly 3 times. It's unreal. Cheap to do also. Pretty easy as I'm in a wheelchair and I did it knowing pretty well nothing. About to do my own DSG tune then exhaust, intake then stage 1 tune maybe 2. Yet to decide.
I shall have a look into that, I know exactly what you mean by the delay it is very annoying. Great work I'm not sure I could be trusted to do my own tuning ha ha, and exhaust is a must only some of that awesome sound
Knew it wouldn't be long. I guessed you would be back with an "auto" of some sort - most likely 3.2 DSG as the 1.8T auto's are rare. I'd thought you had bought Andy Chargers 3.2 as the announcements were so close. Great to see Glacier Blue on a 3.2 and blue seats! What a combo! I put EBC brake discs and pads on my 3.2 about 9 years ago, great stopping power! :)

Yessssss Dom.......Glad to see you back in a TT ....and arguably one of the best colours Glacier Blue , same as my 225! Not to keen on the blue interior though ! NC500 is phenomenal, myself and daughter did a fair bit of it in the summer 😜 anyhooooo , they're hard to give up these TT's !!
Its not for everyone but i think once cleaned up it'll look great, the only one id trade it for now is a 50/50 leather alcantara :) A little biased on the colour i see haha , Nc500 is one of my fave trips hence why we go every year, same as the tt's keeps you coming back wanting more

Glad to see you back, on the brakes mtech sell cheaper single piece options for the 3.2 /r32 but you the loose out on the inner vents/2 peice setup. You can always swap the 2 pot calipers for a set of 18z brembos with supporting after market brackets, pedal travel is slightly longer I believe but you end up with a set of smart looking 6 pots.

Nice car Dom. I have a manual 3.2 2005 80k miles Misano red with black interior. Came with the BBS's,getting them refurbed just now along with a set of Ronal's I got for £100. The Ronal's looked terrible but surprisingly were in better condition(buckles) than the BBS's. Lovely minted car. Maybe one day I'll get on your channel! Anyway good to see you back, your videos are great and enjoy your new car.

3.2 Dsg Mk1 the best TT by far imo, had mine 10 years and spent over £7k on it but its just all standard still. Interested in your suspension change as thats my next plan but dont want it lowered
I best get your rear bumper fitted to mine along with a new Front smoothed votex version and will have meet up again. Maybe get a feature on here if I'm lucky 😅
V recently bought a 2005 3.2 DSG and looking at cruise fitment, what a car - bog standard and Concert 2 with 6 CD changer. Info on the cruise fitment would be great 😁
Just a side note, the mk2 manual v6 is higher tax bracket so nearly £700 a year. Mk1 parts and still available for the most part and used parts are gonna be around for a long time. Mk2 is a safer option but depends what you’d prefer
What suspension would you recommend for a road TT that may go on track once or twice? Shock and springs or coil overs are fine. Also how low can you go without speed bumps being a worry? I don’t want to lower much but most kits are 30mm plus.
often the mm doesnt matter as it depends on if you have sports ( the slightly lower stock suspension ) if you do then it is unlikely to drop the car any more than it already is
I need some advise, I’ve changed the stereo on my mk 2 TT 3.2 Quattro but seem to have lost the rear speakers and amplifier. I need to know what stereo harness/adapter I need that will incorporate them. Can anyone help me please as the sound is not great without the amplifier and rear speakers.
Have you fitted an aftermarket stereo I’m guessing. You need a harness that matches the plugs you have. As it sounds like you’re not powering up the amp in the system.

My 225 needs some tlc. Paintwork needs attention and some other niggles. Work has gotten in the way the last couple of years playing catch up after covid. I dont get to take it out very often, but i dont think i could ever part with it, haha
Its always going to be there and i understand its hard to make time when so many other more important things to do. When you do get a chance always focus on the mechanicals. Would rather be driving a tatty car than stood next to a broken down show queen haha, hope you get a chance to spend time on it soon

So as a rule i prefer shocks over coilovers as its a more comfortable ride, coilovers are fine if you do track time monthly and dont mind the banging and crashing, helpful that coilovers are height adjsuatble however thats the only good. Shocks and springs are a more comfortable all round good option, h&r springs are nice and low but can still get over speed bumps without stopping :)

I’ve got a 2001 225 Mk1 which has 2 owners prior to me and has a number of small ish faults but long term is a keeper

Lovely example - loving my 225 but there’s something about the V6.
For me its the sound and the gearbox ( although old and clunky ) its a nice cruise with a nice sound track

What suspension changes You had made from original parts?
I used new shocks and springs, went for the Ap ones as best value, bought from DPM performance
