I have a right hand drive 2004 3.2 DSG convertible in Sweden. I got it really cheap for Sweden because no one wanted a right hand drive car. So much car for the money! Since I have at my summer house where there’s mostly country roads you’re all over the road anyways so the right hand drive isn’t that annoying so long as you’re not stuck behind a tractor and alone in the car😂 A nice green color too. I serviced the car before storing it, but what’s the procedure for when bringing it back on the road? Should I service it again or is it fine to just get to driving straight ahead?
It all depends on how cold the car will get, as long as you used E5 fuel you should be ok. the oil should be fine for just sitting around its not having to do anything

The amount of rust on UK cars I see on TH-cam is mind blowing. I don't understand how so much rust can happen. We salt our roads in winter here also, but none of my cars look like the one in this video and my cars are just as old.
With Us prices this car would be worth saving but at present in uk it’s not. Rust is mad here, no matter how hard you try it gets there eventually. I think the road surface doesn’t help. Lots of stone ships and rock damage doesn’t help matters.
Had a 2000 TT Coupe 225 in silver before which I drove all year round. Miss that car now cause the green one is stored in a shed until next summer.
Headlights polish out easy
Have you seen that when tt's are that bad they need polishing inside too
Thanks for your vids. What brand jacks are those and do you recommend them?
I'm thinking of getting some for my MK2, but I don't really know which would be best and there seems to be a wide range of options in a wide price range.
@@btphillips79 what do you mean by jacks the ramp? Thanks
@TheParrottBros Yes, I'm talking about the lift
It can get expensive. Abs sensor and wheel bearing has failed on 1 side. The bolts and arms are so rusty and brake lines are corroded im doing a full overhaul of the rear. I will be putting braided lines on and polybushing it while it's all off though.
@@CraigyGInDaHut1993 the benefit of this is it will last you for many years after, sometimes it is worth doing those while you are their jobs to save you having to do it in the future
@@TheParrottBros exactly my thinking. I could just get the car sorted quickly but I don't see the point as in a year or 2 I have to go back to sort something else out. It also means I can keep on top of it. It should never get as bad again
@@CraigyGInDaHut1993 that’s it mate, will last for many many years
My TT is in the garage it got hit from a left turning driver. Luckily it’s going to be restored and come be ready to be driven again.
Ooo no, hope you’re ok! Glad to hear it’s getting repaired and will be out cleaner and better soon
@@TheParrottBros thanks Dom :) luckily I’m fine. Apparently though the insurance company was very close to writing it off though.
@@Jay-m2h7x nowadays they don’t take a lot to right off as the obsolete parts make it hard to repair as a lot of company’s only like new panels
Just killed the TT market 😂❤
What colour are the door cards ??
Correct decision, Dom. Labour was very conservative in those figures.
Thank you, I think so too. Draw a line and start again 😊
I caught the short straw of tt’s unfortunately. Bought a silver 225 with 41.5k miles with perfect full service history and it just had to have a different engine put in while I figure out what went wrong with the other 🤣
In total so far, I’m almost 10 grand into the car. Silly but I wasn’t ready to give it up!!
Ooo no! youd of thought that with mileage like that it would be perfect, hope you get to the bottom of it soon
I'm sure I've seen your parts for sale list before but can't find a link to it now?
Its all gone now im afraid 😊
Dom, can you recommend someone with the Vag-Com software to reset a steering sensor. Done the bushes on our MK1 (front and rear) and had a 4 wheel alignment afterwards and the TRC light is on, scanned it and it says steering angle sensor is the issue. We are just about to do timing belt and waterpump.
@@neilfairless4589 hey mate, whereabouts are you based?
@@TheParrottBros In the North-East fella but don't mind a road trip.
@@neilfairless4589 tt spares are in Crewe which I believe is west, if your on the face book groups I’m sure there is someone with vcds who can help it there is a website which shows people with vcds locally if you do some googling
@@TheParrottBros Cheers mate, will get onto it.
Can I please have the motor? My engine just started to make a huge knocking sound.
Devastated..😵💫
🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼😎🍀🍀🍀☮️
The motor has already gone afraid, plus we have a slight distance issue ha ha
Oh no, what has happened? Do you reckon a rod has let go and bent some valves or is it a 3.2?
i got mine for under $1500 ,had to have the engine and trans replaced due to shop messing up ,then a clutch and now i gotta get new bumper, headlights, dash, and struts
Sounds like you have your work cut out for you 😂
@@TheParrottBros yea first shop put heli coils on tensioner which failed then they got me a new engine (i paid for trans)they told me wrong clutch(double clutch in single clutch system)and that blew up😂,i only trust your videos now
@@darkd5ds sounds like you have had a right go of it, if you are based in the states it must must be hard to find a good garage that has the knowledge to work on these things
@@TheParrottBros very rough time, not too many places can work on em so your vids are heaven sent for me in the usa
The trick to owning a money pit is to never add up all the money thrown in 😂
That would of course be the best course of action haha
Where can i get replacement side skirts covers
@@jasondexter7775 genuine sills can still be purchased from TPS, Coverdale car parts, Audi etc last time i checked
I'll have some parts off that one pal. Had a run in with a muntjack. Front bumper, N/S head light and quarter panel .. if you're interested drop me a mesaage pal.👍👍👍✌️🤘

@@TheParrottBros will do, much appreciated fella 👍✌️🤘
I reckon you should do the work on it Dom. Just sell that bonnet bra and it’ll pay for all the work and with the change buy a new Rocket 3 😂
😂😂😂
Makes my TT Roadster a bargain at 4.5k...
Very much so pops
Shame about the car Dom 🚙 hope you get your 💶💶 back out of it ⚙️🔩
Thanks buddy, it’ll break me even thankfully onwards and upwards 😊
