Excellent list. Working my way through them. I would add in the pagani design chronograph V5 with the quartz movement. Bought it on a whim the last time and its really nice. Free nato if you add to basket before the sale.
@@johnswatchjoint it's the pd1701 I'm taking about although it's probably very similar to the one you reviewed! Anyway I'm restricting to 1 watch in this sale. Have 4 from your list in my basket!
Cracking list, John. You certainly deserve a rest, given your recent output! Love the colourful San Martin GMT. Might pick that one up if I get a good result on wages day. No more SD 1970 s for me: currently in the middle of putting a new NH35 into the green one I picked up a couple of years ago (for a TH-cam video, of course). Spent three hours yesterday trying to put the hands back on - nope, have to try again tomorrow. Also remarkably dirty inside, and the gasket is utterly wimpy. As a Plan B, I bought a blue one with a PT 5000 (£85 in rubles); zero beat error and -/+ 2 seconds a day for the last month, so there's no bloody way I'm taking that one apart... Have a stotious weekend. Cheers 🍻!
Yeah I reviewed the PD1701 a while back and it just wasn't for . Probably the worst bracelet I have handled. The head is very good but too flashy...I prefer the toolly aesthetic of the Corgeut version. Of course it's all personal preference but I am tired of tossing unusable Pagani bracelets haha!
Can't resist the Cadisen Tag copy. Their watches are very affordable and have good price/quality ratio in my experience. The Hamilton KF copy is sharp too.
If I was after a GMT, that Corgeut looks really good: applied indices on the dial, NH34, on the fly adjustment on the clasp... a lot to like for under 100! Thanks for the info.
I’m really digging that proxima in the black dial. And the date’s at the 6 (right where it should be). Too bad the date wheel’s not color matched. I really wanted to pick up the San Martin dual bezel GMT, but I don’t like that they switched it to a dual GMT bezel.
I definitely think my two favorites of the list are the new Ipose in red (the blue should probably have white hands) and the Cronos GMT both seem so well done that you just have to consider them for the price. And thank you for the video your definitely spoiling us with content so I hope you do get a bit of a break after this.
I am enjoying your channel. I normally don''t care too much about accuracy but I really appreciate that you test your time pieces. I guess I do care lol
Some sale gems - nearly all with a gada toolish military look, and all great deals! Nice to see a San Martin Benrus Type II mashup and their 37mm 'Baltany homage', John!
Some bizarre pricing going on! I'm sure all will become clearer on the day. Tha San Martin Chrono is now priced stupidly. No idea what they are playing at haha!
I couldn't believe it. I put the video together and rendered it knowing I could rejig at the last minute. The plan worked and a couple of special deals came out of it. It is fantastic value even at the price I paid for it. It is stunning and one of the best examples of what is possible for under £200. Now check out what just arrived a few mins ago....see community tab. It's a stunner! ;)
That Cronos is an insane value. I think it’s San Martin Quality for Seestern (or less) money. Great list. Here’s to years of putting out a list every August going forward.
Nope..I have just placed an order right up to the last stage via the link I provided. No Issues. Check you are logged in with Currency and location set to GBP and UK.
Nice watch choices 👍🏻 Today I chanced upon a Orient Crystal Watch labelled "Japanese Double Lion, AAA fully automatic mechanical watch,...." So might be getting it instead of a Shang Hai dress watch.
You have to pay VAT as our wonderful overlords want their pound of flesh. Sometimes if the watch is routed via Holland you end up paying extra fees of £8.25 as you will have to collect from the post office but that is very rare. The best way to get a total price is to put the item in your basket, apply all your codes and any extra discounts at checkout, proceed to final checkout on PayPal (last page prior to confirming payment) and you will see your order total. At that point you can go back and clear your basket or go ahead :)
According to the screen capture, the current price of the San Martin San Martin Vintage Chrono SN0120W is 85 GBP, but the sale price will be 102 GBP. SO, it's about 17 GBP LOWER now than it will be during the sale. If you like it, don't wait for the sale!
I have put the Baltany milsub on my beads of rice bracelet while I wait for the Uncle Seiko to arrive. I think I'll likely leave it on this bracelet and put the razor wire on something else The BoR seems to win on anything it goes on

Thanks but after my review it's not one I recommend. PD and I have history haha!

Some great options. That new Ipose option looks really interesting
Cheers James
Love the Baltany Khaki Field blue sunray, and the cream-dial Sugess
Great list mate! That proxima & octopus watches are cracking!

Great bang for buck for sure !

Love Watches Love your reviews. Great as always. Thank you for your hard work. Gan yur sell, ya wee dancer!
Haha. Thanks my friend ☺️
Just now picked up that San Martin Vintage Chrono at an early bird price below the advertised sale price.
Nice
Great selection and certainly food for thought … thanks for putting that together John!
My pleasure Jez :)

Just got the Sugess 1963 chrono in the green dial and I'm really digging it. Swapped it to bracelet and it feels like a an even nicer watch.
Nice one !
San Martin doing a homage on Baltany.😀 It is really a very nice looking design.

I appreciate that. No point in doing something if it's not done to the best of your ability :)
Controversial opinion: Rolex should do Mercedez hands like Baltany does them. 😂
Ooooh that is controversial ;)
Wouldn't that then make Rolex the clone? 😈

@@johnswatchjoint Yes some bizarre claims in sale graphics, like the Addiesdive auto GS Omiwatari homage $84->$54!
@@johnswatchjoint Yes San Martin pricing that 37mm at the hypothetical $298 it never sold for! Before promising it at $125!
Weird!?!?
Hi do you find the Cronos gmt a little thick at 14 mm much like the Tudor or does the case back sit recessed on the wrist.
As you would have seen I have it for review and it sits very nicely on my 6.75 inch wrist ;)
Fantastic Review as Always John!
Thanks Jason ,I appreciate that :) 🙏
@johnswatchjoint You're Welcome John have a great evening!
The Cronos GMT is crazy cheap for what it offers for the money!

@@johnswatchjointthis is on my list and I'm struggling with the options. I'm thinking silver bezel but which of the 2 on offer? They look v similar.
IP marks more easily. That is why I opted for the stainless version :)
Hands down the best value on the list.
If you are a new customer (new email address there is a £34 off a spend above £134 on that store! )
That was epic, some great Watches now go for a lie down.
...I need it Jon :)!

Fingers crossed!
Great recommendation, John. The Cronos is insane value. it's going in my basket...
Thanks David. I have still to review it but the first impressions are excellent 👌
A lot of good deals! Unfortunately (or fortunately 😅) I don't have the money for now.
Thanks for sharing, John.
Good man. It is good to look a temptress in the eye and say " make me a cup of tea would you?" ;)

Seestern diver or the new San Martin SN0121 titanium that’s newly came out.

Everyone needs at least 1 quartz in their collection
If you don't care about Quartz, you don't understand and you're not truly a watch enthusiast/connoisseur. Just look up the FP journe Élégante
