Hymn: All People That On Earth do dwell (Old 100th)

St Andrew's Cathedral Sydney's Chamber Choir & Quartet from the Australian Army band sing the great hymn 'All people that on Earth do dwell'- one of the oldest hymns in the english language and based on psalm 100. The arrangement is by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and was written for HM The Queen's coronation in 1953. Beautifully sung, accompanied by the Australian Army's brass ensamble and ably conduced by Ross Cobb. Most uplifting. Thank you! In September 1958, when I had just arrived in London, I attended the State Funeral of Ralph Vaughan Williams in Westminister Abby and this great hymn was sung to the arrangement that Vaughan Williams had created for the Queen's Coronation in 1953. The Trumpeters of the Royal Air Force accompanied the hymn at that wonderful funeral. Yes, wonderful also because the London Symphony Orchestra was there and preformed some of Vaughan Williams's great music. Larry Adler, the noted mouth organ player for whom Vaughan Williams composed a concert for "harmoium" and orchestra, was sitting right in front of me. How could I ever forget such an experience!!!!
