Yesterday I was asked to make the benediction and I started to pray for those in ICU with covid-19 as well as those on ventilator's and those who we're in the daily stats after being diagnosed with this dangerous and terrible disease. Every time I hear this, my thoughts are taken back to singing this in the MTC when a group of missionaries were preparing to depart into the mission field. Irreplaceable memory that I'll forever carry with me in my heart.

I can't avoid crying whenever I listen to this heavenly hymn. When my mother passed away almost 12 years ago I had the privilege to hold her hands a couple of minutes after she flew to the kingdom of our Heavenly Father and guess which were my final words to her.They were "Till we meet again ,God be with you till we meet again"... (Gosh ! I know she's watching over me from heaven but that I miss her ,I do....)
im not saying this because im a member im saying this from experience i have cousins that are Wesleyan Methodist and Catholics there songs either are too loud or there not sung with passion with the lds church we sing calmly in that way we feel the holy ghost.
Sounds like you have not found the right church for YOU. I tried out many different churches before I became a member at a Methodist church in California. Not all churches are like "Jazz Clubs", nor are all churches traditional. THANK GOD for the diversity. As human beings we are all different, and what appeals to one individual does not necessarily appeal to another. I am amazed by all the judgemental comments coming from what I assume are Christians. Find a church that you are comfortable with, that you are inspired by and let others do the same. We don't need to put down folks/churches simply because we don't like the type of music they sing.
My lovely son passed away a year ago without any serious disease, handsome n' healthy boy and also a good one. Everyone shock especially me as his mom..but finally we believe that Jesus knows the Best for him and we all will meet again someday...especially with our Lord, Jesus Chris,amen.

Without question, music is the universal language, and for over 176 years since this magnificent choir was founded in August of 1847 it's been wonderfully used to communicate a message of divine love through songs that transcend, the divisions of politics, religion and culture. I have to look at the LDS every day, In order to know that at eighty-four (84’ years old) my heart is still a place for me to worship Jesus! God bless the Church of Jesus of the Latter Day Saints! In her last hours, the last words my precious mother uttered to us, "please sing, God be With you Til we meet Again." She barely had the strength to say so, but this was her dying prayer for us. We managed to sing through it, and it was sung several days later at her Celebration of Life service. What a beautiful, powerful and precious pray for hope with eternity.....

When my father and my mother passed away the members of the church sang this song for them in the funeral, when ever I hear this song I miss them always 😥
Some thirty years ago, this was sung at my little boys funeral along with,' I am a Child of God'. When ever it is sung I see his face clearly before me the night he died. It brings tears of sorrow, hope and joy all at the same time. I am so grateful for the restored knowledge that families are forever and my family and I will only have to wait and be lovingly patient a little while longer to all be together again. .

I raised 6 kids and have felt that the greatest burden in life would be the loss of a baby, a child. I too have heard this sung at many funerals and have had tears pour from my eyes thinking we were singing this saying farewell to our loved ones. Then I realized that they too were probably singing it to us as a prayer that God would care for us till we joined them at the end of our mortal tenure. With greater understanding and appreciation my eyes still fill with tears of gratitude and love.
Sure Brother, there is some gospel songs that remind us about our loved ones, Especially if they use to listen to such a songs. But we'll soon be all together with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones... The reason why we also have to preach the Good news to our relative so that we all can meet each another in Heaven once we end up our mission on this earth.

I was asked to play for a funeral of an inactive member. I got there and found out that this man had been part of the D-Day invasion, world War II. I felt incredibly honored. I played this song at the end of the funeral and several of his family members thanked me for that, they said several of them had tears.

Yesterday I was asked to make the benediction and I started to pray for those in ICU with covid-19 as well as those on ventilator's and those who we're in the daily stats after being diagnosed with this dangerous and terrible disease. It's really comforting according to Church teaching that we will meet after this mortal life.We also belief this in Jesus name,amen
So true. Through the Atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ we beable to meet our love ones.

Every time I hear this, my thoughts are taken back to singing this in the MTC when a group of missionaries were preparing to depart into the mission field. Irreplaceable memory that I'll forever carry with me in my heart.

I can't avoid crying whenever I listen to this heavenly hymn. When my mother passed away almost 12 years ago I had the privilege to hold her hands a couple of minutes after she flew to the kingdom of our Heavenly Father and guess which were my final words to her.They were "Till we meet again ,God be with you till we meet again"... (Gosh ! I know she's watching over me from heaven but that I miss her ,I do....)

im not saying this because im a member im saying this from experience i have cousins that are Wesleyan Methodist and Catholics there songs either are too loud or there not sung with passion with the lds church we sing calmly in that way we feel the holy ghost.

Sounds like you have not found the right church for YOU. I tried out many different churches before I became a member at a Methodist church in California. Not all churches are like "Jazz Clubs", nor are all churches traditional. THANK GOD for the diversity. As human beings we are all different, and what appeals to one individual does not necessarily appeal to another. I am amazed by all the judgemental comments coming from what I assume are Christians. Find a church that you are comfortable with, that you are inspired by and let others do the same. We don't need to put down folks/churches simply because we don't like the type of music they sing.
My lovely son passed away a year ago without any serious disease, handsome n' healthy boy and also a good one. Everyone shock especially me as his mom..but finally we believe that Jesus knows the Best for him and we all will meet again someday...especially with our Lord, Jesus Chris,amen.

Without question, music is the universal language, and for over 176 years since this magnificent choir was founded in August of 1847 it's been wonderfully used to communicate a message of divine love through songs that transcend, the divisions of politics, religion and culture. I'm not a Morman but remain deeply thankful for the ministry of song by their choir.
I firmly believe that the songs sang by the Tabernacle Choir is for the whole world, for all the children of God here on earth.Hearing the songs will help us solve our problems and help us unite in the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.!!!

WOW? What a beautiful sight! The LDS in my heart every time I see the LDS Choir! I have to look at the LDS every day, In order to know that at eighty-four (84’ years old) my heart is still a place for me to worship Jesus! God bless the Church of Jesus of the Latter Day Saints! I shall continue to hold the members of the LDS in my heart while I continue to bequeath all evil in this live world! I just found out that there are three (3 each) of LDS churches in my domicile for me to put on my Sunday clothes with tie, therefore seeing Jesus in my mind, to directly manifest to him, my prayers! In her last hours, the last words my precious mother uttered to us, "please sing, God be With you Til we meet Again." She barely had the strength to say so, but this was her dying prayer for us. We managed to sing through it, and it was sung several days later at her Celebration of Life service. What a beautiful, powerful and precious pray for hope with eternity.....

This hymn is dedicated to my late husband who passed away last year on our Son's 5th birthday my husband never got to wish my son in person but I wished him on his father's behalf after I heard his voice on the phone telling him me and his Son will be okay and that I love him and afew hours after we spoke I got the call to say he has passed away...grateful to know I had a chance to say goodbye but I'm also sad my son couldn't speak to his father on his birthday because he was on machine breathing through it and he couldn't speak much I last saw him at the hospital before he passed away and I kissed him one last time but he was already ice cold and he could hardly speak

When my father and my mother passed away the members of the church sang this song for them in the funeral, when ever I hear this song I miss them always 😥
Some thirty years ago, this was sung at my little boys funeral along with,' I am a Child of God'. When ever it is sung I see his face clearly before me the night he died. It brings tears of sorrow, hope and joy all at the same time. I am so grateful for the restored knowledge that families are forever and my family and I will only have to wait and be lovingly patient a little while longer to all be together again. .

I'm so sorry for your lost. As a parent of 2 children, your story brought a tear or two. However, I do get a sense of happiness knowing that one day we will meet our loved ones.
I raised 6 kids and have felt that the greatest burden in life would be the loss of a baby, a child. GOd bless you in bearing this burden,and for the times when you can turn it into joy at the upcoming reunion ! ANd for the faith in GOd's purposes - that when you see the big picure, your heart will fill with gratitude that your child was chosen for god's purposes :)

I left the church years ago and my relationship with God has never been stronger. I guess I lost faith in those who claim to represent Him but it made me realize that my faith in Him is what matters and it is unconditional.

I too have heard this sung at many funerals and have had tears pour from my eyes thinking we were singing this saying farewell to our loved ones. Then I realized that they too were probably singing it to us as a prayer that God would care for us till we joined them at the end of our mortal tenure. With greater understanding and appreciation my eyes still fill with tears of gratitude and love.

Sure Brother, there is some gospel songs that remind us about our loved ones, Especially if they use to listen to such a songs. But we'll soon be all together with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones... The reason why we also have to preach the Good news to our relative so that we all can meet each another in Heaven once we end up our mission on this earth.

This is a song of the departed as a comfort to those who they have left. Behind. Our pastor and my grandpa just died recently and we buried them this morning and afternoon. this song just suddenly crossed ny mind and i sung it but i wasn't expecting that the congregation knew the song too and they sung along with me. Tears are falling from our eyes that we struggled to finish the song. Rest in eternal peace pastor and gramps. Until we meet again.

I was asked to play for a funeral of an inactive member. I got there and found out that this man had been part of the D-Day invasion, world War II. I felt incredibly honored. I played this song at the end of the funeral and several of his family members thanked me for that, they said several of them had tears.
