- I regularly find myself wondering the question. "What's better Gold in Capsules or Gold in Blister/Assay Cards". I think it's a good question. So for this episode I did some in-depth re-search and created a Topic based battle to finally help settle the debate. Watch till the end to get maximum benefit.

I prefer the assay cards purely for aesthetics, I think they look so well preserved in the seal.
I agree with you there! 🤝
not really. If they are handled much then they get tatty looking very quick. Plus in storage they get banged up as well. If the assay is damaged you are screwed. if the capsule gets damaged you just buy another!
@@MrKiwi13605 good point, I keep mine in a safe and only handle with gloves!
Great video mate. Personally I'm just not a fan of the assay cards for anything other than 1gram bars but I can understand why you like them.
That’s fair mate! I can understand your reasons too! I like a mix of both! Thanks for watching!!!
agreed
They look class in the cards.
I agree! Lovely aren't they.
I dont, not at the moment. Dont know why but i prefer it loose and not in cards.
Thats fair mate! I can totally understand that! I think that's why I have a mix of both.
Thanks for upload . ✌🏻🤩
Thanks for watching 🤝
The packaging of them 1g Tavex bars certainly adds to the bulk of storage 🙂
Yes they do but they are so nice. I must get some.. haha!
If you're in the UK then keep the royal mint ones in assays. If the RM change the assay design then you have added value for collectability!
I agree! Well thought of Sy!
sorry Sy, I gotta say I buy for the metal not the cardboard & plastic😊
@@MrKiwi13605 Absolutely understand. The assays are not for everyone. If you're a weight stacker then it makes sense my friend.
Big like number 37! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing
Wow! Awesome! Thankyou :)
I don't have either but I would probably say assay cards, especially on the second hand market they are also a guarantee that they haven't been handled or potentially damaged/scratched/bitten, etc.
I agree! Very true 🤝
Usually the coins or bars in blister packs from the Royal Mint are more expensive than those in capsules. 1oz Brits can be as much as £20 more for the carded ones! It does vary though with sometimes it being the same (perhaps if they blistered more than needed?) When I started collecting I preferred the 'extra security' of the carded Sovs and Brits but now I don't buy from the mint generally because the big online dealers are so much cheaper and its all about the price for me now.
I couldn't have said it better myself Chris. You are completely correct and I agree.
Cut em out put them in caps…i cant stand those assay cards…
Cut them out! Ouch! Haha. I’ll keep a mix of each for now 😃
I’m with st3v3n cut em out 🤩🤩✌🏻
@@THEGOLDTOOTHSTACKERcut 'em out! even better buy 'em raw to start with!
@@MrKiwi13605 I hear that bro love my hand poured more than my commercial
Yes, capshules protect them. And gloves even more!
Absolutely 🔥
Congrats on 4K 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thankyou Gold Tooth 🔥🤝
Gold does not tarnish etc. Sealing them in plastic does nothing but make them slightly harder to authenticate.
I’m a fan personally but I also hold capsules too.
Do you by direct from Royal Mont or someone like Bullion by post?
I buy direct from Tavex Bullion. I have a discount code - FUTUR3INVESTM3NTS - Check the video description for what discounts apply on what gold and silver.
Royal Mint prices always higher then bullion dealers in UK in my experience over many years...ie Chards/Atkinsons much better deals😊

Yes!!! It keeps them in good condition, they're harder to lose, and they only cost £3 more 🤩😎🔥
Well said! I agree also!
I wish i could get my hands on a coin in a assay card, they do look more premium atleast for me. All i can find so far are coins in capsules.
I agree. Usually they’re only really available at The Royal Mint direct but some other places may have them.
I want a Sigma 😢
Same here! I’ve got a couple Pamp bars I’d love to check.. haha
