      Apple gets shitton of indirect advertising when every other company compares their products to Apple, trying to convince their customers that their product is better. Imagine a 16” MBP with 12-16 CPU cores (8-12 of which are P-cores) and 64 GPU cores (yes, 64, as the 8 core GPU in the current M1 Macs is already power sipping and Apple will have no problem scaling up the GPU cores to that level in their 16”, as that one’s cooling capacity is 80W and it has a 100WHr battery). The simple answer is : first of all serious windows people don’t even buy m1 macbook air / pro. Processes, handling of files, apps on mac os are cumbersome for no god damn reason . On top of that any experiment with apps can lead to irreversible memory wastage. No serious software is free on mac os. Please tattoo this on your wrist. Be it parallel via which u wanna run windows or the windows itself. No key generator works here in that case. If windows people still wanna flaunt the apple logo please go for mac with intel and bootcamp it. Oh by windows people I didn’t mean people who do video editing only. I meant some serious work on windows. Like running a tfs server from it, setting up a sql server . You name it. On top of that bootcamp helps to allocate entire RAM on windows os , not like parallel where you need to decide how much RAM to allocate to windows, so with M1 you will end up buying a minimum of 16 gb of RAM version vs minimum of 8gb version of INTEL macs in this regards.
    What common in tech reviews are like very few youtuber got the guts to speak truth rather than nurturing the fake apple impression. It’s unfortunate but a fact. Peace 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

    When you look at geek bench scores “single core” results, are actually single thread results, the m1 chip being ARM only has one thread per core so the tread has the full power of the core, while x86 processors use multi threading so the AMD and intel cores can’t use the full power of their cores, because there are two threads per core

      Who cares. M1 is faster

    • @FluffyAnvil
      @FluffyAnvil 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No that's not how it works, dual thread cores are so called hyper threaded cores and tries to exploit the fact that single threaded cores are more difficult to keep busy as you have unavoidable dependencies in software which means cpus tend to spend time waiting for the result of a calculation before they can keep executing, a cheap solution to regain some of this lost performance is to add a second hardware thread as it costs very little hardware wise- so when one thread stalls it schedules the other instead and that way can keep the core more utilitised, you can disable hyper threading in the BIOS though if you only want "single thread per core" performance.
      But regardless M1 is way faster and what people don't realize is that M1 is Apples entry level processor; they're going to leap frog ahead once they introduce their actual pro processors.
