Errr, not really.. just clean and organized.. Haha. First engine i have ever built from scratch. She's still running well. Thank you very much for the compliment though. M.
@@mauricegardiner6910 Well being clean and organized is 90% of being a mechanic, 9% good tools and the last 1% is knowing a few tricks to make it go easier or better. As for a first engine to work on, the V4 Honda's are like a car engine in a bike frame, so a good one to start on.
The bolt underneath the stator that holds a tang/tab like thing is seen to be loose at 2:26 and again at 2:49. I hope this bolt didn't come off and cause any damage!
hey.. well spotted. and thanks for the alert. but i do remember doing that bugger up. ( some vids were recorded in a haphazard manner ) the tang thingy is a keeper type of thing. i also say to turn the rotor clockwise and then promptly turn it anti clockwise.....
+Cristian Rheinisch hmmm, it seems i missed that video. oops. did mean to point out that it is easy to break that plate . the bolts should be done up in tiny increments to keep the spring pressure even. cheers, M.
Duly noted. I like your videos immensely. I've been thinking about these engines a lot, as I've got a rebuild in my future, and actually being able to see the parts is fantastic. I've been kicking around the idea of a drag motor too. I get the feeling there's a lot of extra meat on that crank.
I love your style and editing. Brisk pace, lots of info in there, never gets dull.
Man, .I am fascinated by the way you work on this engine. It seems you worked on more than 1000 goldwing engine.
Sorry. My English is broken 🙈
I knew this guy was going to be a good mechanic just by the music choice.

He can fix m-gold wing inny time.
Many thanks for the great videos. One small question, what was the type of silver paint you splashed around?
the paint was VHT I think , as i recall sp127 . my memory is not so good.
Thanks for that, much appreciated.

I feel like I didn't see the rest of the clutch springs go in... Did I miss something?
