I made these on Sunday, they'll be part of my breakfast now in the mornings until they're finished. They are great for dunking in tea, I thought that was just a British and Irish thing. I'd be interested in any South African recipes, not just sweet treats. Thanks Nadine. I watched the video on holiday and made the rusks from the description when I got back home. You forgot the buttermilk in the written recipe in the description. I missed it when I made them but they don't seem to have been impaired for the lack of it, I'm still enjoying them very much for breakfast. Looking forward to the next recipe.
@@elainecouvelis7929 If you look at the ingredients on the table at 30 seconds in you'll see the buttermilk. At 1.23 seconds in you'll see the buttermilk going in. The buttermilk is to provide the acid the baking powder and the leaveners in the self-raising flour need to work. Saying that it didn't have a detrimental effect on the batch I made.
I really love this channel. Every recipe I've tried on here has been a winner, simple and easy, and they've all worked out perfectly. Keep them coming Nadine, good job
Thanks Nadine. Can't wait to try this recipe.
I’m going to try a vegan version of this. Thank you, Nadine. You’re awesome to watch.
Have fun!
Wishing you a very happy new year and thank you for your easy to follow recipes 😊

Thank you for pointing that out! I will fix it.
I'm so glad you liked it!♥️
Hi. This recipe is for condensed milk rusks. Not buttermilk. 😊 I'm going to try this, but I'll leave the coconut out, I think that's just weird 😂
I used full cream milk, not butter milk

Hi Nadine, just a reminder that you forgot to mention the buttermilk in the written recipe. Thanks for the delicious rusks 😋
Hi Nadine, I loved this recipe. I I would like to know where to buy rusk template please
I used a breadpan in this recipe, for this rusk recipe you don't need a rusk template 😊
Thanks ❤
You're welcome 😊
Hi Nadine is the coconut a mandatory ingredient...
Thank you for Psalm 38
Nadine hi, maybe I missed something on your recipe but what are the wet ingredients?
Hi, it's the buttermilk, condensed milk and eggs.
