    It's hard to tell online, but I think the dji ones go one the same way. I'd love to hear if someone else knows.

    Thanks for throwing in a lesson with your review. They should make nd filters for mirrorless cameras that go on the same way.

      Sometimes I go into too much of a lesson. I debated on cutting the whole lesson out. I hope people do appreciate it.
      There are some magnetic ones for mirrorless I think.

    good info to know they slide on .. i did see some jello when moving though

    • @EddieStudios
      @EddieStudios  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah. I noticed a bit too. I think sometimes it's good to go a bit high on the shutter speed for fast movement.

      yep, I noticed the same especially on the background trees, probably due to a focal length as well

    That's a perfect way to F up your stabilisation and overall image quality.
    Use ND's only on ghimbals as IES cannot handle those shutters. That's also why at night the stabilisation goes wacky.

    • @EddieStudios
      @EddieStudios  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's just incorrect. They design everything in cameras to operate based on the 180° shutter rule. It would be stupid not to design camera features based on the rules of shooting. Think about it. Now if you go under the 180 rule, like shooting 30 fps with a shutter of 1/30 that will screw with a lot of stuff. That is probably what you are experiencing with night shots. You need to lock your shutter at 180 and let the iso go up to compensate.

      @@EddieStudios I don't think so. They design everything to sell you on "cinematic" stuff while the camera can't handle because of physics. It's not made for that type of usage.
      If it were to be used like that, DJI should have put an optical type stabilisation, not electronic.
      Even the convention cameras need ghimbals when used with NDs. And 90% of those cameras don't have stabilisation.
      It doesn't matter anyway. The camera is perfect for what it is, but I would not buy ND's for it as it's not ok for my type of usage.

      theres a video of someone testing the digital stabilization with ND filters using the 180 rule with 24 fps and 1/50 shutter. The ONLY way it makes sense to use ND filters for the blur is if your Action 4 is standing still and you are filming something in motion. otherwise you have to have a gimbal@@EddieStudios

    • @EddieStudios
      @EddieStudios  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I have done further research on this and testing since I made the video and commented last. I agree. The digital stabe gets all weird following the 180 degree rule. You definitely can't do action smooth if you're using the 180 rule. I was wrong before. I'm glad I learned something interesting from this original comment pushing me to look further into it.

    Whenever he uses the ND16, I keep feeling that the ND32 would have been better for all those tests instead. His face still looked blown out in direct sunlight.

      It's a polarizer. Helps with glare from water, and some say it makes blues in the sky look better. I didn't really have a good place to test it in this video.
