can’t help but notice the GoPro Hero 5 in your video…that little camera is a beast! what lack of feature on its time make up by its robust build. got mine pre owed years after it was release and still works great today, I use mine for my Metal Detecting and other casual family video recordings. My Hero 5 complements my DJI Action 4 for multi cam shot combo, thanks for the video.
i have been loving mine but i was thinking there are 3 main upgrades that would just making it amazing ( and id love to make these official suggestion, but not sure how to) but 1. Being able to separate the screen times when they go black, For example having the main/back screen go black after 10 minutes but the front screen go back after 5 etc, i know it great to have a front screen but would be good to have it go off quicker then the back or via versa. 2.(Maybe you can, but i googled it and nothing came up) But i wish you could name your custom settings, even if it still said C1, C2 etc it would be nice to have a name like Bike Riding, Vlogging, just so you remember what's what \ 3.Quick modes for Night and Day long exposure shots, Night painting and Waterfall shots etc, i know you can still do it manually, but just being able to quick switch into one like going into time lapse or something would be amazing

Yes you can add the dji mic! In the usbc a great option! When you use them with the windschield. We use them in a festival and stil you can hear us speak
Missing the magnetic mount of Action 2, it was much easier to attach/remove. Now with the rubber the cam doesn't wobble, but the mount itself is harder to use

Hi, unfortunately, I have not yet been able to test the Action 4 while diving but a filter certainly helps for better colors - even though DJI says they have made improvements here. Apart from that, I would basically shoot with 4K60 if it's not too dark. And I would reduce the sharpness a bit. Best!
I just got a DJI Action 4 camera today. I downloaded the app and connected to my camera. The weird thing is that whenever it connects to camera, it automatically disconnects my IPhone 13 from my WiFi. It’s a pain to playback in the app. I had to switch on airplane mode to playback. Am I doing something wrong?
@ I never figured out a direct solution. I eventually ended up using an smartphone just for the camera app. That phone has no cell service so it seems to be working fine.

Hi, I bought OA4. I ride a quad bike, mainly on gravel roads - open areas with a lot of light and forests with a lot of trees. The camera position is at the chin of the helmet, it sees the route + handlebars, counter, etc. I'm looking for the best possible settings for myself, do you think yours will be good for me? Lots of analogies, only the speed at which I'm driving will be different, maybe you can give me some advice :)

Well, the go 3 comes with the Flip Screen which is a great advantage when vlogging but the Action 4 delivers the better image quality so it really depends on what is more important for you.
Where is the hidden mic on the bottom of the Action 4...and, if using a cage covers it, how will it work for wind suppression? Also, is the speaker on the top also a mic? Can you shed any info in the built in mic system? Thanks very much.

when I transferred footage to edit them from the dji action 4 to my PC , when I play the video, it’s lagging and appears to be in slow motion. I’m not sure what the issue is-whether it’s a transfer problem, a compatibility issue with my PC, or something with the camera settings. Do you have any recommendations on how I could fix this? Is there an alternative method I should try for transferring files or playing the footage? I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions!
It sounds like this camera is really much better in many ways. Can you still get a case for maybe salt water? I’m thinking the rubber seals on it may not be waterproof after several months of use. I dont know if you have any ideas about salt water useage. I’m not a camera buff.
Yes there is an additional dive case - and yes of course - in the long run salt water will damage most materials - especially rubber. Even if a good cleaning after use avoids most damage.
But what if i cant download the app for the camera i ordert it today and i didnt know i need and app for it but I read that you don't need the app for it to work

there is one thing I noticed in all video comparisons available on youtube : dji action 4 vs gopro11.....dji 4 does something strange with clouds in the background...they are nearly always blurred comparing to the same shots with gopro11...please take a look at that problem....thank you
@@MountMediaChannel yes, for exampe your previous video 10 days ago 'DJI Action 4 vs Action 3' - at 7:41 ....nicely detailed clouds in gopro11 and blurred in dji....and that happens to every yotuber doing comparison gp11 vs dji4 ...check others....must be nice, rich, puffy clouds, and you will spot the difference
@@maciej1975 I took another look at the original footage - two things: GoPro uses a large amount of clarity - it simply artificially increases the contrast at the edges. You can see this very strongly in the clouds - but the original Action 4 shot doesn't look blurry at all - it's more about a difference in look and less about the details. On the other hand, a larger sensor has a shallower depth of field: in the distant background, the shot might then look a bit blurrier. Overall, though, I can assure you that the Action 4's image quality is excellent.
you can access the right side door (with USB-C) to charge or to connect to a PC - to open the left side door (battery & SD-Card) you have to remove the frame
got mine yesterday and tested it out today....its so tiny that i dropped it already lol...luckily the casing prevented...couldnt remove the lens tho or maybe more force...the app of dji is a nightmare for android users...you need more than 5gb of memory on your phone left otherwise it wont install...the file is huge 650mb !!! they could have been more friendlier...my packaging was mostly in chinese ufff perhaps because i live in mexico....i was expecting more english.
I find all these "comprehensive " reviews and tutorials miss the very first step. I Bought a new p.c. with windows 11 on it ( ASUS Vivobook) and the Action 4 camera. When you first turn on the Action 4 it tells you to scan the QR code with your cellphone. I live remote, no cell phone service out here , so no cellphone either. Now the camera refuses to operate until I scan the QR code ! Locked out of my own camera! The lap top does not have a micro SD card port, but does have bluetooth but......the dam camera has bluetooth but won't operate until I scan the QR code! seems the engineers failed to realize not everyone is on a cellphone. I have herd other people say, get an external mirco SD card reader and put the card in there and plug the reader into a USB port, but still the camera refuses to operate until the QR code is scanned. Got a hack for this mess?
You influencers are not saying the actual reality of some features, example invistick no one has ever told that invistick only exports video in 1080p not in 4k you didn't mentioned it shame on all of you.

No need for an external mic. I used without mic and it is really good.

Yes, of course - Try 4K60 or 4K30 together with ultrawide (or wide if UW is too much for your taste)

I have found that transferring files over a usb wire very slow, transferring using the card in a card reader 2 to 3 times faster. Hope this helps🙂.

How do you think the fov with Rocksteady compares to the hero 12 with hypersmooth on, both on the widest settings?
the fov on the Action 4 is much wider - you have to use the Max Lens Mod on the Hero12 for a similar fov

If you set it manually - use a low frame rate (24,25 fps) and set the shutter to 1/50
