    Definitely an underrated song overshadowed by some of their more popular stuff. Can’t wait for you to react to the rest of the Macro album 🤟🏼

    Hopefully they do some more songs like this in the future with her singing clean for the whole song. I really love her clean vocals especially in this song.

      I'm curious to see what their next album is like. Tati has been single for a long time, and has been writing quite intellectual songs, with nothing sexual and only one romantic song since Inhale Don't Breathe - and that, possibly the nerdiest love song in rock history haha. So now that she's dating, it will be interesting to see if that impacts her songwriting interests.

    This is great live. With the exception of the prologue and short ending song King of Everything (both of which should react to) on the album King of Everything, this is the one song without growls.

    • @j.f.fisher5318
      @j.f.fisher5318 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The ending of King of Everything - called Beggar's Dance isn't full length but it always puts a smile on my face. When they were opening, they used it as an outro song which they played from a recording while they cleared the stage. In one bootleg, you can see the next band in the wings dancing to it. :)

    A criminally underrated song in their discography. This song sounds SOOOOOO much like Alice in Chains, it's just amazing.

    This is a really underrated Jinjer song. This song sounds really good on acoustic guitar and I think it would be a great campfire song. I'm trying to learn it and I have most of the guitar down, but trying to sing it with the guitar is really hard; maybe it's because of the 7/8 time signature, or the odd time that the vocals come in, but it makes me appreciate that even the most 'simple' Jinjer songs have intricacies beneath the surface.

    Honestly, I haven't been this stoked over a band, since I found Pantera back in Vulgar-days (yes I'm old). There are a lot of good bands in the world, but the kind that you absolutely sync with from the start is rare. It wasn't "Pisces" that got me started with them, it was either "Sit Stay Roll Over" or "Outlander". Can't recall. If you haven't seen/heard them yet... well.

  • @Fenrir1
    @Fenrir1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I love this song, and I especially love the fact that it doesn't sound much like any of their other songs. I like diversity and variation. If all songs from a band sound similar it gets boring faster.

  • @mazharmadridi1812
    @mazharmadridi1812 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I will never know why bad water wasn't the first reaction for everyone rather than Pisces. Pisces could have been the second reaction for everyone considering that bad water is fully melodic and Pisces has both jinjer is life and much love and respect for jinjer please check out i want it i will get it by jinjer please or hypocrite and critics or waltz by jinjer please 😁😁also please check out the live performance of bad water on napalm records also eugune's end part gives me goosebumps every single time also it really reminds me of the walking dead game by telltale

      Pisces went viral mainly because of the beautiful cleans transitioning into absolutely brutal growls and screams. The dynamic caught a lot of people off guard especially as it's so well done.

    One of their few videos featuring the unfortunate Eugene Mantulin on the drums.
    Speaking of switches, the one I like the most in this song is that the minor key melody and the whole slow tempo makes it very dark but Tatiana's last note changes it to a major key. Genius!

    Some of their most complex lyrics - I'm only 90% sure I get it all haha. Overall, it is about pollution, but I can't tell if it is being woven together with more personal stuff. I hope that isn't used motor oil... ewww. A couple of other great older songs are Outlander which is also from the Cloud Factory album, and Scissors from Inhale Don't Breathe.

    • @Slo1kDz3mu
      @Slo1kDz3mu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm, this song always had a second meaning to me. First, as you said, is global pollution. But secondly, if you dig deeper, is about her personal toxicity. If your heart is as a desert and you fall in love, she can give you love and then break your heart.

    • @aamiw99
      @aamiw99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still have almost no idea what this song means. I just ended up assuming that it maybe made more sense in Russian. What I know for sure is that no sewage was running through her eyes :)

    • @j.f.fisher5318
      @j.f.fisher5318 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@aamiw99 but when we drink polluted water, that pollutes us, and all our body fluids. Also, at least some of it is written from the perspective of nature. "You want me to drench a desert, bad water is all I got" possibly salinated soil due to bad irrigation practices which is a major issue in many desert areas. "You want me to imbue the poor, bad water is all I got" Flint, MI, for example.

    • @aamiw99
      @aamiw99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@j.f.fisher5318 When you put it that way, it's really interesting. I know polluted water pollutes us. I just didn't know that bad water in the song literally meant bad water. I thought it was just one big metaphor for something but I didn't look into it too much. Thanks for the info though. Tatiana does care a lot about nature which is just amazing.
