- My Sig Sauer 522 rifle, chambered in .22 long rifle, is the most reliable rimfire firearm I have ever owned. This beauty is also the first gun I ever reviewed on youtube. Watch as my son and I have a blast shooting this amazing rifle.
22lr never gets old.
Was about to say the same thing 😂👍👍
You sure do have some priceless Father/Son time together Mix, just too much fun! I am very envious of you guys over the pond. It's so cool to be able to do what you are doing.
All the best from the UK.
Yes indeed, my son and I always have fun when making these videos and we love reading the comments from our friends across the pond. All the best to you and yours.
Move to the U.S. If you don't like it to here, to you can always move back to merry old England!
You are a good egg. And so is your humble, gentleman son.
Ty for being good people and setting a good example.
BTW that high def slow motion of the skeleton mask and rock throw was most excellent under beautiful blue skies as was the gentleman's hit on the bottle toss with his second shot.
Hello my friend. My son and I thank you for the nice compliments. We always enjoy making these videos together and we always love reading your comments. Thank you!
I know 22LR is frowned upon as a self defense round BUT in a weapon like that, it becomes a completely different and viable option! I guarantee you NOBODY will be just standing there taking multiple hits on target with precision accuracy! Very nice little rifle! Hope yall have a great weekend! 👍🪨🍾
You also have a great weekend Nutty.357 and thanks for the nice comment. FYI: I will be picking up a nice S&W Model 19-5 .357 in the near future and my son and I will be doing a review on it. Should be lots of fun.
Cool video! Thanks for the knowledge on firearms past and present.
id like that very much. I want to purchase a used example but even those command a high price due to whale-flation@@mixup98
@@mixup98 sweet will be looking forward to that! Thanks
Very awesome! I so want one, wish Sig didn’t discontinue them. Great shooting as always you & your son! Love you videos & your humor & excitement! 👍
👍😎 😎👍
You two inspire me to do more offhand shooting. I've gotten lazy and shoot off the bench (my back porch railing) too much.
Beautiful place. Beautiful gun. Great people. Love your videos. Cool gun, really!
Please do a Series on the Discontinued Guns; whether you own them or not....
However you want to do it....
I second this.
Thanks for the feedback. I already have several other "discontinued" gun videos planned.
Thanks for taking us along. What a nice rifle.
Yes Sir , I did see that your son hit that bottle of water on his 2nd pull . Definitely enjoyed the replay in slow motion 👍.
Very cool rifle. I'm thinking those must bring some good money now days.
Not sure what my rifle is worth but I can say that I paid $410 for it brand new in 2011. I'm pretty sure it was a good investment 😎😎
One of the first gun channels I ever saw on youtube.
Awesome! Thank you 😁👌
Here’s to 12 more years of excellent reviews.
👍😎
Always makes me wish I was in Nevada.
Great shooting and great rock throw, beautiful place.😊
A nice rifle. 22 is a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
We are fortunate to own a 522, mine is the series that comes with two barrels, standard and bull
Great review: Sig just got busy making other firearms, sad
I didn't realize that the Sig also came with two barrels when I bought mine. That bull barrel must be extremely accurate.
Mine only came with one barrel. I bought it at academy.
I regretted not buying one back in 2016, it was a private sale, he wanted $400 and I thought it was too expensive at the time. Flash forward today, went into my LGS, saw one on the rack and immediately purchased it. So excited for it! I'll have it in 10 days lol
Where did you buy it looking to purchase one for my husband for Father’s Day
@@diamondmarieee4606 They don't make them anymore. So your best bet is to go to your local gun shops and pawn shops and ask around.
Nice! Can't wait for the next one.
The thing is about a good 22LR is that you can have a lot of fun, get some good practice in, for not a lot of $$
Thanks for all your gun reviews. They’re very informative and fun to watch, I never buy a new gun before I see your review on it.
Thanks for the look back at your Sig Sauer 522. I wasn't yet a subscriber the first time you reviewed it, so this video is really appreciated. 👍
Really nice shooting Sir! Great video!
Thank you Bruce....have a great Sunday!
I have one of these I bought new but barely used. I've been enjoying it all over again.
Thanks for the video, I'll check your channel out.
Good job ringing that bell!
Good morning roadking62 and welcome to my channel. I have hundreds of videos here on youtube and I hope you enjoy what you see. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video.
Now that is one very cool looking 22lr .. and the man knows how to rock !!
Great video Mixup and Son I was a Trucker for over 20 years loved Southern Nevada
Great video. Outstanding shooting.
👍😎 😎👍
Love it. Looks like fun
Well done as always bud.
Thanks again Shadee226
Second on my wish list, such a good looking gun and great design to boot.
You sure have the most beautiful backdrops for shooting. And yes that’s one sweet rifle.
Nice rifle, good shooting. Keep 'em coming, Mixup!
Very cool 22!!
For sure, this Sig 522 is a very good rifle ..... Thanks for sharing !
That's a nice rifle. I enjoyed seeing that. Thanks
You are very welcome and thank you for watching our video.
I have one of these, a very nice rifle! Aluminum receiver, not plastic as on the S&W AR15-like thing, will cycle everything from CCI Quiets to HV rounds. The trigger is quite good.
excellent choice , total quality assured
Thank you kindly!
great video, that was a cool little ghost town and its always entertaining watching you two have fun
Glad you enjoyed it SheikOutdoors and we thank you for watching our videos.
Great video. I think that's a great idea for a video series. There's something very cool about owning discontinued firearms...adds to the mystique, nostalgia, collectability. They're just very interesting. Agreed, great looking rifle.
Never saw that one, thanks for the video
I love your channel!!!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
Nice rifle Mr. 98!! Awesome 😎 shooting!! And awesome desert scenery and canyon echo!! ..
Hello Christopher. I had fun making this video and I thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on it.
@@mixup98 thank you sir!! I miss Nevada. I’d be out there every day shooting 😎.
Such a cool area. I live in Canada my area has two feet of snow already. Going to be -40 plus windchill for the next five months.
Oh wow! Stay warm my friend ☃️
Man, I LIKE THESE VIDS. Well executed sir. + The scenery is incredible. The 'ROCK Guy'.
Thank you very much Mr. Thomas.....much appreciated.
Great video, Im definitely going to be looking for one of those.
You should!
Cool rifle will definitely keep my eyes out for this one 👍
You're a really good shot! Love your videos!
Awesome.....thank you!
Looks like a fun shooter.
Pretty sweet. Never heard of that one
Cool shooter 👍 😎
Thanks for the fun Brother. Thumbs up video ~John
Anytime my friend.
Wow Mixup, I didn't realize you started on here in 2011, you deserve a million subs. Your one of my favorite Gun Tubers!!
I would love to have a million subs but I'm happy with 275K. I'm also coming up on 80 million views, which is really exciting. I'm also glad to hear that I am one of your favorite gun tubers. Thanks!!!!
You always have nice guns. Watching your videos makes me want to move to Naveta, lol Thumbs up to your video.
Much appreciated, Thomas!
Holy crap, this thing is awesome!
Yes it is! 👍👍👍👍
I bought this sig rifle a few years back I still have it absolutely love this 22.
👍😎
I haven’t been seeing your videos and was kind of disappointed about that. Apparently I was not subscribed. I sure am now. Good to see you again mixup98
Hello Sean and it's good to hear from you and I'm glad to hear that you have subscribed to my channel. I have posted six videos this month and I hope you get the opportunity to watch them all.
As they say, 22 is the king. 32 is the queen!
Fun in the desert. Love Quail hunting
👍😎 😎👍
I can only guess that it takes proprietary Sig mags. And I bet they would not be easy to find.
it will take cmmg mags and blackdog mags
Fortunately 25-round magazines are very common and rather inexpensive at about twenty bucks apiece.
not long after it was discontinued Black Dog blew out their 10 rd mags at $5 each.
Pretty cool rifle
Good to see ya. Checking in. Like my Rossi but always sniffing.
Always good to hear from you MultiSweener....have a great weekend.
Dang Mixup, you shoot faster and better than I can even think. Bravo Sir 👍
Thank you for the awesome comment Daniel...you made me smile 😁😁
Awesome sig 522 rifle thanks for sharing mixup98
Beautiful surrounding! Great gun. Greetings from Germany!👏👏
Hello jfakoggl and greetings from the United States.
Even UK legal - my young daughter and I put a lot of rounds down mine before it got traded for a Tipmann m4-22.
Cool 22 for sure 😎
Reminds me of an HK G3 series rifle. Sort of. Interesting SIG I never knew existed. Thank for sharing.
Bought mine about 2012 when I was hanging out at my buddy's ranch where he set up a firing range.... Got a 50 rd drum mag and we did some bump shooting for the fun of it (22lr cost about $16/550 brick).... Never had any firing issues; 50 rd drum worked flawlessly..... Time to dust it off and get out to a local range (ranch has been sold.... dang).... Funnn gun
😎👌
Nice rifle! But I’m interested in those (apparently) abandoned buildings. Looks like someone started a home but quit.
I don't know the history on the old "ghost town" but here is a video my son and I made on this and several other strange places here in Nevada: th-cam.com/video/LuufZtmy5EE/w-d-xo.html
I`ve never seen one of those but it looks like a good one.
Wow, the rock toss impressed me, who needs bullets!
Okay that's like three videos in a row you perfectly flung a rock on a target. Are you cheating with video editing hahaha.
Nothing like a little bit of nostalgia. Now I'm going to have to go back in time and watch your other 522 video. I'll catch you there in the past!
Hi from Pennsylvania. It's been awhile since I got to watch your videos. God bless awsome video. 😊
Greetings from Nevada and welcome back to my channel. I have posted lots of videos this year and I hope you get the chance to watch most of them. God bless you and yours.
I will try love your channel. God bless my friend.
I love mine, Sig sucks for parts availability .Great video reminds me of, The Hills have Eyes
A terrific little rifle. Mine is a MP5 clone in .22. Probably not as accurate as yours, but just as much fun.
Wow! What a fantastic rifle! I had no idea Sig made .22 LR rifles, much less cool ones like that. Fun and economical to shoot, accurate, reliable, looks great, and even folds up! What's not to like, right? =)
Excelente vídeo
Thank you! 👍😎
I've wanted a 522 since first seeing one at a LGS three years ago. However, I've refrained because I figure a few years in the future, spare parts may be impossible to find. So I'm sticking with the AR22 variety rifles. But, if I find one for a great price, I'll buy it. Especially the spare bull barrel version.
Great video!
Oh yeah I've been there before. That's where you have to sneak past a bunch of deathclaws if you want to go from Sloan to New Vegas.
👍😎👌
Dang, another nice pitch!
Cool looking rifle. It's just a little different from an AR and that makes it interesting.
I wish I could be in southern NV right now 🙂
You ought to get some "dueling targets". No walking to reset!
I have a centerfire pistol "dueling tree" but I definitely need one for my rimfire guns. Thanks for the suggestion 😎👌
Miss my 522. It got stolen with some other guns in a home invasion. Sad to see they discontinued this rifle. I would by another one for sure !!
Almost purchased one of these years ago. Purchased the Smith instead. 😢. Very nice rifle. ✝️🇺🇸✝️
Pick a spot on the mountain and see if you can clear the other side with bullets. I know it's not a mountain, or a hill, but for lack of better words, mountain.
i have 2 of these....my fave 22 rifle ever and best training type...wish i had the pistol model....agree with reliabilty...crazy with junk bulk..
I've never seen a pistol model, which would be awesome to review. Maybe someday I will get lucky and find one.
Nice. I know of a local shop that had 2 of these sitting for sale for a few years. Not sure if they are still there. It does make me miss the Sig 556 rifle I had
522 has excellent iron sights
First Auto I ever Shot 🙂 Very Nice 💯 Very Reliable Rifle 💯 Wish I could get hold of a new one still in 'box '' Great Stuff 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Hello TMFShooting and greetings from the United States. I hope someday that you do find a new one still in the box. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video. 👍😎
I hope so , 🤔🤞Thank you for Sharing 🙂💥💥@@mixup98
I bought the commando variant a few months ago at a pawnshop with an Sig Romeo 5 for $350! Haven’t shot it yet but I love it
Accurate with rifle - or rock. 'Love that scenery (I live in the land of moss and ferns).
Definitely one of my dream guns there is still a company in the US that imports them. they even have the sig 553 pistol in 300 blackout.
who
7:52 -- Dinner time!
You can sure throw a rock!
I must have thrown a three million rocks in my lifetime while growing up in the desert 👍😁
I never knew about those. And now I would really like to check one out
I have one that I installed a SIG 556 butt stock on it will even function with CCI quiet ammo
Sweet 22lr.
DD ,i remember your original vid...thing would chew anything you put in it ... I have one with less than 1000 rnds though her..... love it....black dog 100 mag...im a Sig guy through and through..…peace
If you two ever make it down into Beautiful Southern Arizona, you better let me know so we can hit the range.
