You get nodules from incorrect singing technique or not looking after the voice correctly whilst singing. That's a fact. I had a module scare, but then my trainer and I knew it wouldn't be them because I've not strayed away from the correct training, in the end it was something completely different. Andrews has admitted many times that she regrets not looking after her voice, and that she shouldn't have had the surgery. Because the surgery also puts a downer on the voice. She went in knowing that she will not be able to sing the same way ever again

That is not what happened. The surgery was not supposed to harm her vocal chords in any way but it horrifyingly did. She would never sign up for something that will not allow her to sing again. The hospital reportedly paid her to settle the case but before that, she had 4 more surgeries because the surgeons need to bring it back. Unfortunately, it's impossible. You can read the articles and watch the interviews about this. It's saddening and she was depressed about it for so long. Please don't say she destroyed it herself because she didn't. It was an unfortunate case.
