  • Plummer Admits Why He Couldn't Stand Julie Andrews
Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews are well-known as the stars of the movie "The Sound of Music." Released on March second, nineteen sixty-five, this legendary musical and its actors won multiple Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. The movie reached number one at the box office and held the record for the highest-grossing film for five years, surpassing "Gone with the Wind." While their on-screen chemistry captivated audiences, Plummer's off-screen feelings towards Julie were far from affectionate. In a shocking revelation, Plummer admits why he couldn’t stand Julie Andrews. What could be the reason for his dislike? What might have caused the bad blood between the co-stars? Join us in this video as we explore Julie and Plummer’s relationship and uncover why he couldn’t stand her.

During World War 1 Georg von Trapp was a successful U-Boat captain in the Austro-Hungarian Navy.

I’m glad that he later realized his own immaturity about her and admitted that he was wrong. He was a magnificent actor. I have seen several of his movies and always enjoyed watching them. He was terribly handsome and I loved seeing him act in whatever role he played. Julie Andrews was the most beautiful person. There is nothing I can say about her that probably hasn’t already been said. I haven’t seen all of her movies but I have seen most of them. I loved her in every single one of them. She is so endearing and elegant. I can’t say enough good about her.😊
Working together in The Sound of Music they make a wonderful couple, devoted to each other, to the children and to Austria. I’ve read the book about the real Von Trap family and it was quite interesting. Very interesting and inspiring, even though so much of it was changed from the original book. Both the real story and the movie story were really good. I’ve seen the movie and theater productions several times and loved everyone of them.❤😊

I adored Julie Andrews as a teenager and was a singer myself, but I felt very bad for Emma when Blake Edwards put her mother in movie after movie after movie and the little girl was almost motherless for those years.

Even major jerks can grow up and admit they were wrong. I still love the movie even with the modifications and poetic licenses taken.

I was rooting for the Baroness, portrayed by the incredible Eleanor Parker.

Christopher Plummer's initial opinion of Julie was arrogant and immature, which I believe existed then because of his alcoholism. At some point, he seems to have changed his attitude toward her. I think he was simply jealous of her in the beginning, and then he grew up, at some point, and accepted her as the good person she is. And they gradually became friends. I'm glad that happened. And the rest is historry.

That's OK.. James Garner adored working with Julie Andrews, and said she was the best kisser he ever met! Plummer was too busy flirting with the teenagers in Sound of Music, and Julie blocked him for them, the girls that is. So, she stopped him from bothering them, and gave them peace and protection when making the movie. If he didn't like Julie Andrews, I'd call it a complement... she saw him for the ass he was/is and this makes her even greater in my eyes. No one likes an egomaniac flirt forcing himself on children. A man who thinks he's hot... when he's not even luke warm!

Plummer should have been grateful for his part in a film that has been enjoyed by millions and still is. These actors are paid to do a job and complaining
about their role is just not on, and so is ignoring the young actors in the
film and whatever else he was doing. I really hope it is true he became friendly with Julie who was kindly looking after the youngsters. Actors should be grateful they get work in a precarious profession and stop moaning.
They should keep their views to themselves instead of causing disillusioned
    to their audience.
