All these bikes were on my target list... 848evo, GSXR750 & 675R Daytona. Right now, the 675R is sat in my garage awaiting its first service. Awesome bike, truly awesome
Just some added information for any prospective buyers, the 750 is heavily restricted from the factory. A slip on with an ecu flash is about 15hp more.
I think that was a good comparison for these 3 machines. All three seem to be the only one in their "class". I remember when the 750 class was where the heavy hitters went to war. Now it's 600's and liter bikes. Nice to see these three making their own rules. The more bikes out there the better as far as I am concerned. Great video, I enjoyed it.
@epicgiant I think I see what you're talking about. His butt slides to the proper side but his upper torso goes to the opposite side which is bad. He supposed to (in short) lean his body through the turn right?
great review. i liked the mix of objective and subjective reviews without putting any of the bikes down terribly as most reviews seem to like to do. As we all know the average rider cant outperform the bikes they mount up, so it comes down to subjective bias in riding choice. I have to say this is one of my favorite reviews involving the 848evo (paid and waiting at the dealership paid until i can take R&R) and considering the number Ive watched thats saying something. Excellent job fellas.
looks: ducati wins topspeed: suzuki wins sound: ducati wins midrange power: ducati wins low end power: triumph wins best bang for buck: suzuki wins triumph is: original, perfect compromise between the other two bikes, good looking, reasonable price, lots of fun suzuki is: not original, fast, not much character, not really attractive looking, cheap ducati: original, lots of midrange and high range, great looking, lots of fun, great twin sound tested all these bikes before buying the 848 evo
I know this comment is almost a decade old, but these bikes are still top of the >1000cc bikes used. I am strongly considering the 848 as a replacement to my SFV650. How long did you have the bike, and is there any advice you'd give thats specific to the 848?
Triumph Daytona 675 for me too! It's amazing that this bike hasn't been changed much since it was first introduced in 2006! That's 5 years with only one relatively minor update, yet it is still up there with the best of them!
@MEVeloSupreCITy actually now that I look at it again and pause it I notice he made the same mistake in the left hander before entering the right turn. He was twisting his body to the right (around the left turn), then alternatively twisted his body to the left (around the right turn) - just opposite of what you want to do
Reviews like this will never take off - I mean - where's the wind noise blocking out our commentary? Where's the ridiculous biased opinion? Where's the endless positive comments with no negativity whatsoever? Nope - it'll never take off - crazy idea :)
@sh1ftydog You've got it wrong. The Daytona has one LESS (3) cylinder than the 600 japanese (4). And that's why the Daytona has a bigger displacement (675cc instead of the 599cc like the japanese) to compensate this. These 3 bikes are way too different to compare, but is ok to put the Daytona 675 on the 600 class, it is meant to compete with them.
@MEVeloSupreCITy The turn was to his right, but his body contorted and twisted to the left instead of shifting his body position to lean to the right along with the turn. It was an improper setup coming out of the left hander into the right, just bad body position
Worst mirrors on a bike are actually the RSV4. Although my 848 did come with the extenders fitted. The 848 is not "easy to stall" and the clutch works perfectly for feeding the power in smoothly. A hydraulic clutch may be heavy, but it's great once you're used to it. This is my 4th bike with a hydraulic clutch. Cans look longer than the EU version. The Termi pipes with ECU and air filter is worth it.
Just found your channel, and your true-to-form reviews and no bull$hit opinions will keep my eyes for a long time. Def professionalism on 2 wheels.. Awesome words about the Triple too, I just wish I signed papers on the 675r last month lol (damn wedding)
its easy... 675R but u gotta get the R.. now if u are not in a rush.. 2019 will introduce the 765R with a detuned version of the MotoGP Moto2 engine.. THAT will be the hottest middleweight on the planet and will have some sophisticated electronics to boot
Horsepower numbers are irrelevant on the street. Horsepower is just a calculation of torque vs RPM. Torque is what launches the start, and coming out of corners. The only gripe I have about my Ducatis is the low-end chug, but we're talking sub 3,000 RPM. I did an overnight trip on my 1098 from Dallas to Toledo, OH in stormy weather (a little too excited to own my first Ducati and wanted to get home to see family). and love the torque-on-demand powerband. 675 is great too. Love my Speed Triple.
@curvejaeger - The Daytona has one more cylinder than the 600 Japanese bikes (not to mention to Gixxer 750). I think the point of this shootout was that these three bikes really don't belong in any one class. I though tit was a really cool mix of three oddballs.
how can you compare the daytona 675 to the gsxr750? The Suzuki has a bigger engine and has one cylinder more. Of course is going to be more powerfull. The 675 is meant to compete with the 600cc
I guess I have to be the ass that reminds everyone that the triumph has 3 cylinders and still puts out that kinda horsepower. But I'm bias, I own a recently downed 08 675 SE and it's the most entertaining bike I've ever ridden. As soon as insurance pays me back, I'm going straight to the Triumph dealership. On a side note I am testing out a ducati and a kawasaki next week but my heart will always belong to triumph so I'm not getting my hopes up.. +1 Triumph 675R
3 awesome bikes, but the 675 is sort of outgunned performance wise. Having rode all three i'd take the duc if i wanted to bomb it through twisties or carve the canyons, and the gixxer for the top end speed. The d675 is a cool bike too though, they're agile as hell. I'm biased though since I have an 1198, gixxers have always felt too fat for my personal liking, but the 750 is such a genius bike, especially for the price it sort of makes the gsxr600 irrelevant.
Sorry, got my facts wrong. 848 evo weights in at 430 pounds curb, while gsxr 750 is 419 pounds curb. The gixxer has the shortest wheelbase of all the 3 and the most comfortable riding position. The Duc is too stiff me for me, a little top heavy and tall (I'm asian), not so good feel on the rear brakes, riding position kills the wrist for long periods of time, and a too short of a first gear. That being said, people buy this for the mid-range torque.
Justin Voluck I started on a GSXR750. Insurance was similar to the 600. Most people who buy 600 sport bikes buy them for the street and don’t turn them into race track bikes. The 750 makes a lot more sense to buy than the 600.
Yea nobody revs to 14000 RPM on the street on every gear. Ducs are much better for everyday use. What I was implying rather, is that even as a track bike, the 848 has similar max HP, less weight, and more torque, which means its lap times should be similar if not better than the gsxr 750 in the hands of a professional.
@ILikeCarRides This isn't about what gets the most girls. This is about what machine is the best. If you're truly into motorcycles then you would care less about how much ass your bike gets and care more about how it goes around twisties.
@mikeknight456 i wouldnt say everyone evnys ducati, i like one but swap my Daytona not a chance, most girls i talk to seem to like the Kawasaki ninja more i dunno why they must be pissed up lol Triumph is not just another Japanese bike they are class off there own
All these bikes were on my target list... 848evo, GSXR750 & 675R Daytona.
Right now, the 675R is sat in my garage awaiting its first service. Awesome bike, truly awesome
"I always thought the 750 was the best 600 ever made" LOL
750 is an icon, Suzuki gsxr 750 1985/86 was the first true Superbike, full aluminum, 100hp, sport to the core.
One of the few reviews where true opinions and facts were mentioned about all bikes from unbiased professional riders. Perfect video!
Best review I have seen in the longest time! Keep up the great work Motorcycle!!!!
Just some added information for any prospective buyers, the 750 is heavily restricted from the factory. A slip on with an ecu flash is about 15hp more.
watched this from start to finish. More of these please!!
I think this is one of "motorcycle's" best shootout/reviews that they have done yet
Great review with plenty of facts and figures and no loud head banging music GREAT !!!
You've changed the camera ? The shootout looks better as usually, great job !
i cant decide between the 2011 kawasaki ninja zx10r or the 2011 ducati 848 evo. which is the better bike? any notes will be greatly appreciated
@epicgiant I think I see what you're talking about. His butt slides to the proper side but his upper torso goes to the opposite side which is bad. He supposed to (in short) lean his body through the turn right?

Quick question, do you suppose you would have slightly different views if you did the dyno last?? Just curious.
@dogger64 Thanks ;)
looks: ducati wins
topspeed: suzuki wins
sound: ducati wins
midrange power: ducati wins
low end power: triumph wins
best bang for buck: suzuki wins
triumph is: original, perfect compromise between the other two bikes, good looking, reasonable price, lots of fun
suzuki is: not original, fast, not much character, not really attractive looking, cheap
ducati: original, lots of midrange and high range, great looking, lots of fun, great twin sound
tested all these bikes before buying the 848 evo

You guys Are doing a great job great video. Well done. I want the Ducati it sounds and looks the best.
Does anyone know where this has been filmed?
@MEVeloSupreCITy actually now that I look at it again and pause it I notice he made the same mistake in the left hander before entering the right turn. pick the best out of the best!
you guys are rock!
Nice review without the unnecessary loud music/ screaming/ and weird camera angles.
Great review there Troy!
Like I say to people who are asking what bike they should get, "All the bikes are faster than you are, so get the one YOU like the most."
@sh1ftydog You've got it wrong. The Daytona has one LESS (3) cylinder than the 600 japanese (4). I’ve ridden both 750 and 675 with full exhaust and tuned, the 750 is a fucking monster when you open it up.
Worst mirrors on a bike are actually the RSV4. Although my 848 did come with the extenders fitted.

damn, I'm trying to decide between the 750 and the 675 right now and this review really didn't help!
its easy... 675R but u gotta get the R.. now if u are not in a rush.. 2019 will introduce the 765R with a detuned version of the MotoGP Moto2 engine.. THAT will be the hottest middleweight on the planet and will have some sophisticated electronics to boot
i might actually re-sub to you guys if you keep makin good reviews like these...
I love my 848!!! And the guy doin the wheelie on it in the background behind the Triumph! lol
The best bikes to put in your garage is right here... anything higher is of no point. And anything lower is probably not your best bang for your buck

@syphor009 - I own an 848, it never stalls when I ride :). Only complain is that it's not comfortable as some of the other bikes out there.
Yea, it's also kinda front heavy
great video!
of course the ducati is rough for this guy only very few of us can ever tame this beast and unleash its full potential!
All three are amazing bikes, 'nuff said!
@curvejaeger - The Daytona has one more cylinder than the 600 Japanese bikes (not to mention to Gixxer 750). I think the point of this shootout was that these three bikes really don't belong in any one class. I though tit was a really cool mix of three oddballs.
The 675r is such a pretty bike, even more than the 848 imo.
everyone has opinions & my opinion is gsxr, they said it themselves, from commuting to trackdays the gixxer is the total pkg.
Basically all 3 of them are great. It comes down to budget.
great come back
So the 848 Duc actually has almost the same max HP as the gixxer 750? Plus it's lighter
how can you compare the daytona 675 to the gsxr750? The Suzuki has a bigger engine and has one cylinder more. Of course is going to be more powerfull. The 675 is meant to compete with the 600cc

well done. look at that torque graphs! it seems like the 848 evo clearly outruns the other two (thoose r very cool machines too!!!).
THIS IS A REAL REVIEW
GSXR750 FTW!
Glendora mountain road, i miss it
@epicgiant What did he do wrong?
the 675 isn't in the same class as the GSXR 750 or Duc 848.
it competes in the 600cc class..
Omg am i dreaming, the 3 bikes i am torn between in a shootout haaaaaa sweeett
that ducati sounds absolutely brilliant.
Saved the best till last on the dyno runs! :)
3 awesome bikes, but the 675 is sort of outgunned performance wise. "God Bless the Ducati chassis"
God I love the sound of a Ducati.
RWHP?
Bang for your buck….Gxsr 750 all day long...
RockRiff888 Not really, No quickshifter, no carbon, no ohlins, no brembo's. 675R all day
i have a 600 gsxr , and it is with brembo brakes :)
my Daytona 675 R with Acrapovic full racing exhaust and Bazzaz fi + autotune will kick ass to any of those bikes ...
Test ride all three and chances are you won't wanna miss out on the best sounding bike of life... triumph!!!
The camera bike is the best, lead all three of them !!!
why not R6 and CBR600RR??? holy sht
yeah right ...i have seen that
5:06 "easy to stall" the Ducati 848? This guy should learn how to ride before reviewing the bike!!
agree!!!
@ls033189 lol again you don't know what your talking about please tell me the cost of maintenance I'd be happy to show you actuals,.
@rsscoyote They just did a review for them.
2009 gsxr 750 rocks all them bike I. Looks and power ❤️💋💋💋💋💋💋
“The GSX-R 750 is the best 600 ever made.” I like that. I think that’s the appeal of the bike. Why Gixxer sixxers sell at all? No clue.
Justin Voluck I started on a GSXR750. Insurance was similar to the 600. Most people who buy 600 sport bikes buy them for the street and don’t turn them into race track bikes. The 750 makes a lot more sense to buy than the 600.
Justin Voluck ok tough guy lol
Justin Voluck what a crybaby.
really good video guys. clear, hd, good sound, no silly shots. mcn is shit
@rsscoyote Because this is a 650+ class.
What's funny is everyone gets different readings on their dynes
Ask a mechanic which is the easiest and least costly to work on no surprises the GSXR
Oh... and once you've bought a Triumph 675R... get the Titanium Arrow Exhaust and take the Baffles out. Its so good it'll make you lol
fucking amazing review. More, I need more.
But the companies claims higher HP for all of these bikes... Evo848- 140bhp
Off course Daytona is the best, but GSXR750 is also a great bike! Better engine of all.
@truthhunter46 Seriously? V-twins sound beast.
@ILikeCarRides This isn't about what gets the most girls. This is about what machine is the best. If you're truly into motorcycles then you would care less about how much ass your bike gets and care more about how it goes around twisties.
2:30 nice pic =)
that ducati is sick
Isn't the Ducati the only one with hydraulic clutch, how is that not better.
@curvejaeger And it's the same price as the GSX-R750...
The Triumph was triumphant.
good review, but you guys have no chemistry, snore to watch minus the dyno
I am soo torn between the ducati and the thriump. As for the girls wanting the ducati I wouldn't say that. Most go for the gsxr guys
@mikeknight456 i wouldnt say everyone evnys ducati, i like one but swap my Daytona not a chance, most girls i talk to seem to like the Kawasaki ninja more i dunno why they must be pissed up lol
Triumph is not just another Japanese bike they are class off there own
they rode at gmr :D crazy
750 alll dayy
you're right best value, and overall the best bike in this comparison!
theres nothing exclusive about owning a 'ducati' in south texas- if u have a GSXR 600 u already have an exclusive bike!!!
The 675 was only 9 hp off the suzuki which is super impressive considering its only a triple and has far less cc's
Hiroheeto, 75cc to be exact
Vacso Kagazzle Laloobay Hoophorn Wacago Seiliu Oh hey you can count, good for you
Hiroheeto you think I can make it into a university?
Vacso Kagazzle Laloobay Hoophorn Wacago Seiliu no
he's saying all that about the gixxer whislt wearing a ducati turtleneck...
Fack , what a road.....what road is that they are testing on?
This guy needs to stop frosting his hair.
