I was sharing this video with my husband, who has eaten many of your recipes that I have prepared, and he’s seen your cookbook in the kitchen, but he hasn’t ever watched one of your videos before. He loves the way you present the cooking, but the fun part was at 2:18 when you open your cabinet to reveal dozens of neatly arranged and labeled containers, his jaw dropped and all he could say was “oh my God” seeing how organized you are, and we are both in awe of how beautiful your kitchen is. Is that a stage for making videos, or is that your everyday kitchen you cook in at home?

I want to highlight 2 of many qualities of this video...1. Your use of avocado oil over vegetable/canola and 2. That you made the recipe accessible/adaptable to what we have in our kitchen. There are many talented TH-cam chefs, but many of them are not conscious of ingredients that can be harmful. A common barrier to trying a new recipe is not liking, or having, an ingredient, and you remind us that recipes are adaptable.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

My mouth is watering as you describe the flavors. I am going to try this also with fresh tomatoes steamed on the rice too.❤

I haven't watched your videos in a while. It always strikes me what an amazing voice you have🙏 you need to record some audiobooks. that would be amazing😊

this reminds me of the famous Bao Zai Fan from Hongkong, not sure if it's inspired by it, but I've always wanted a simple recipe without the traditional sausage because i can't find it in America. Thank you for sharing this, I'll probably try it in my clay pot.

I have not been able to find smoked tofu. Any snapshots you can send of packaging of what you buy so I can do a more detailed search?

I keep expecting not to get excited about your recipes, but this recipe has me excited to get the ingredients and make this this week! I seem to have some trouble finding smoked tofu. Whatever that is I’ll keep trying to find it and get this amazing looking dish to table! Thank you Wil!

      Hi, darylcollins1555,
Do you live in or near a sizable city? Most Asian grocery stores have smoked tofu.

I love the pan with glass lid I see often on your videos Yeung Man Cooking. What is the brand or where might I purchase them online? Thank you for taking the time to inform me.
