Just this minute I made a connection. I have begun watching makeup videos only 2 weeks ago. I by no means am a person who wears dramatic, colorful styles., so I was confused at why I can’t stop watching ( I do love learning about drugstore products) But these videos make feel relaxed just like Bob Ross did. I could watching him paint a scenery over and over. His voice and Metroid were hypnagogic. So is Emily and many other out there with similar videos!😻

I'll play: Maybelline instant age rewind in "Brightener"; CoverGirl clean matte BB cream; cream blush (either "it's not me, it's my sign" from Space Case cosmetics, or the Clinique chubby stick in "roly poly rosy"); wet n wild "walking on eggshells" eyeshadow quad; neutrogena hydroboost lip gloss in "pink mocha". This is essentially what I took traveling this summer, with one more single eyeshadow tacked onto the list (wet n wilds "nutty"). Worked like a dream!
The Needs highlight is my absolute favorite! The bronzer I’ve had complications with but finally found the perfect brush to work with it (wet n wild powder brush). The eyeshadows are out of my comfort zone - neutrals! But last time I wore it I got the most compliments! My 5 needs would have to be: 1. Born This Way Multi Sculpting Concealer 2. I found it easy to answer as well for the same reason. I don’t like to wear a full face for day to day. If I’m feeling adventurous, I add a one shadow look or a little liner, but generally a 5 product face is all I need (concealer, brow pencil, mascara, lip liner, lip gloss)

Emily I loved this video. The ELF Camo concealer is awesome for sure, but “ The Needs” palette colab you did with Makeup Revolution is my new all time favorite! I’m obsessed! This palette is pigmented, the colors flattering and the design provides a full face look for anyone at any age. This makeup palette is everything! Bravo!! I got two, one for me and one for my daughter about a week ago from Ulta. I loved the application and wear so much I’m ordering a second palette to keep as a spare. It is a truly beautiful, quality formula. At any price point it would be a steal, but it’s at a very affordable price point for even those budget conscious ladies like myself. Thank you!

This is easy for me, for most of my adult life my daily makeup was 3 products. I also love cream formulas so I don't need brushes or special tools. Concealer, eyeliner, mascara, cream blush, and cream eyeshadow pot.

I realised when doing my makeup this morning and watching your video that I have actually only been using 6 products regular for the past few weeks! Maybelline fit me foundation, concealer and powder, flower beauty's multi tasking palette for eyes and face, mascara and the Nivea blackberry lipbalm! If I had to I could remove the foundation and make it 5 products easily!! Great video! Keep up the amazing work :) xxx
I've begun pan on The Needs Pallet and I have already 2 for backup. It's always in my bag. It's my palette on the go. If they decide to re-release it, I'd appreciate bigger face pans. Maybe deeper in pans versus wider. ❤
Hi Emily, I am traveling with just carry-on to a work-related site visit. Brought the needs pallet for this minimalist trip. It came through! Funny, because I did not bring foundation, choosing camo concealer instead! A little Healthy powder, and it looked great! (IMHO)
I love "the needs" palette!! Perfect for every occasion. With this one, you can also use Honesty as a blush shade alone or mixed with Joy! I've been using it that way since I got the palette when it first came out!

Libby Audrey I’m not buying any more makeup until I prove to myself I can use what I have. I don’t want to end up throwing away great tarte blushes and other products. Where I live, the heat and humidity is so bad, my products don’t last for 5 years like some claim theirs do.
My five would be: EL Doublewear concealer, MAC Studiofix powder foundation, CT Pillow Talk blush, mascara, lip gloss. I reserve the right to change this list at any time.😂
That was a hard one Emily! Great video! I think I’d keep a cream concealer (Mac studio spf 35), a powder (Laura Mercier), mascara (Covergirl Exhibitionist), a brow pencil (Elf, and I’d use it as an eyeliner too and soap as a gel) and a lipstick (maybe Twig by Mac and would use it as a blush).

1. Concealer I love the elf 16 hr 2. Powder. I use the milani prep set and glow to set the concealer and it helps to even out my skin tone just a bit more while being luminous. 3. A matte brown shadow and set brows with hairspray lol. Can use the matte shadow to smudge on lashline to define eyes. 4. Loreal lash paradise mascara 5. Tinted lip balm. I love the benefit balm version of benetint. Used for blush as well. Or the burts bees rosy tint lip balm. ❤

I am always amazed at how different lipsticks look on different skin tones (or lip tones). My natural lip color is more mauve-y than yours (my MAC foundation shade is about NC44) and L'Oréal Varnished Rosewood (904) looks a lot less red on me. I feel it is a great shade on me too though and will be one of the few lipsticks I actually use up (I have used over one third of the lipstick since picking it up 4 or 5 months ago). I can only say that about 4 other lip sticks in my makeup life. It is so natural and versatile. I wonder how your choices would have changed if you did not have the Needs face palette?

I bought it based on a video of yours couple months ago and keep finding myself grabbing it over all the other options because the colour is awesome, formula is comfortable and can skip liner and gloss with it. Emily I loved this video. The ELF Camo concealer is awesome for sure, but “ The Needs” palette colab you did with Makeup Revolution is my new all time favorite! I’m obsessed! This palette is pigmented, the colors flattering and the design provides a full face look for anyone at any age. This makeup palette is everything! Bravo!! I got two, one for me and one for my daughter about a week ago from Ulta. I loved the application and wear so much I’m ordering a second palette to keep as a spare. It is a truly beautiful, quality formula. At any price point it would be a steal, but it’s at a very affordable price point for even those budget conscious ladies like myself. Thank you!

This is easy for me, for most of my adult life my daily makeup was 3 products. I also love cream formulas so I don't need brushes or special tools.
Concealer, eyeliner, mascara, cream blush, and cream eyeshadow pot.
I do a 5 product routine everyday without even realizing it till now! ❤️

I realised when doing my makeup this morning and watching your video that I have actually only been using 6 products regular for the past few weeks! Maybelline fit me foundation, concealer and powder, flower beauty's multi tasking palette for eyes and face, mascara and the Nivea blackberry lipbalm! If I had to I could remove the foundation and make it 5 products easily!! Great video! Keep up the amazing work :) xxx
I've begun pan on The Needs Pallet and I have already 2 for backup. It's always in my bag. It's my palette on the go. If they decide to re-release it, I'd appreciate bigger face pans. Maybe deeper in pans versus wider. ❤

I am traveling with just carry-on to a work-related site visit. Brought the needs pallet for this minimalist trip. It came through! Funny, because I did not bring foundation, choosing camo concealer instead! A little Healthy powder, and it looked great! (IMHO)

I love "the needs" palette!! Perfect for every occasion. With this one, you can also use Honesty as a blush shade alone or mixed with Joy! I've been using it that way since I got the palette when it first came out!
Okay, I love this video idea. There is so much product being shoved down our throats on the daily, so I love seeing how a look can still come together with only 5 products.
Libby Audrey I’m not buying any more makeup until I prove to myself I can use what I have. I don’t want to end up throwing away great tarte blushes and other products. Where I live, the heat and humidity is so bad, my products don’t last for 5 years like some claim theirs do.
My five would be: EL Doublewear concealer, MAC Studiofix powder foundation, CT Pillow Talk blush, mascara, lip gloss. I reserve the right to change this list at any time.😂
That was a hard one Emily! Great video! I think I’d keep a cream concealer (Mac studio spf 35), a powder (Laura Mercier), mascara (Covergirl Exhibitionist), a brow pencil (Elf, and I’d use it as an eyeliner too and soap as a gel) and a lipstick (maybe Twig by Mac and would use it as a blush).
“They didn’t say anything about taking away water ya know.” I love it! 🤣

2. Powder. I use the milani prep set and glow to set the concealer and it helps to even out my skin tone just a bit more while being luminous.
3. A matte brown shadow and set brows with hairspray lol. Can use the matte shadow to smudge on lashline to define eyes.
4. Loreal lash paradise mascara
5. Tinted lip balm. I love the benefit balm version of benetint. Used for blush as well. Or the burts bees rosy tint lip balm. ❤

2- Wet and wild single shadow (brûlée, I can set my concealer with this shade)
3- Tartist pro glow face pallet- I’ve used as eyeshadow in a pinch!

Elf Camo concealer, tarte Swamp queen pallete (because it has eyeshadow,blush, bronzer, and highlight), stila liquid eyeliner, elf tinted lip balm, and elf brow pencil
I am always amazed at how different lipsticks look on different skin tones (or lip tones). My natural lip color is more mauve-y than yours (my MAC foundation shade is about NC44) and L'Oréal Varnished Rosewood (904) looks a lot less red on me. I feel it is a great shade on me too though and will be one of the few lipsticks I actually use up (I have used over one third of the lipstick since picking it up 4 or 5 months ago). I can only say that about 4 other lip sticks in my makeup life. It is so natural and versatile.
I wonder how your choices would have changed if you did not have the Needs face palette?

I think I would choose the IT cosmetics CC cream, ELF eyebrow pencil, NYX epic liner, IT cosmetics Superhero mascara, and Neutrogena moisture smooth color stick in berry brown (which you introduced me to)

Trestique mini matte crayon in Tuscan Wine (for lips and cheeks), Makeup Forever Powder foundation, Bliss tinted brow gel in blonde, NYX Cake That cake powder eyeliner in Rich Brown (can use as eyeliner and brow powder if you want to fill the brows a little), ColourPop BFF brownie mascara. Dunzo!
Thank you so much for that lipstick reco. I bought it based on a video of yours couple months ago and keep finding myself grabbing it over all the other options because the colour is awesome, formula is comfortable and can skip liner and gloss with it.
