The mystery of the Original Dragon got Taen hooked to the point that he tried to reunite it again even after his boss gave up on it. And he would've succeeded, if not for the pokemon with "Perfect" in its title... ironic.
I used to try gettiing legendaries in pokeballs as a kid because i thought it looked cooler. Now that you mention it I like the image of Taen stubbornly spending hours trying to stick a Mewtwo into a premier ball
