I feel like his off screen character arc is more akin to his Golisopod. He wasn’t that strong at the beginning of his life, then suddenly got amazingly powerful and beat his dad, then ran away to create Team Skull. He went from not being that strong to incredibly powerful in a very short amount of time, and didn’t know what to do with all that power, so he lashed it out against the people closest to him, never really learning to control it. But, that’s just my interpretation of the character.
@@grantwilliams2571 I don't remember exactly, but it's hinted at pretty heavily wherever Guzma and his dad used to live, because there's a picture of Guzma with his dad, and a golf club holder full of bent golf clubs or something like that

Does anyone else imagine Guzma walking swagily towards you with a smug ass grin on his face and there are grunts behind him carrying a boombox playing this theme
I like how he is different from the other baddies in the series. Unlike guys like Giovanni or Ghetsis, he was a guy who gave home to societies rejects and "losers" where they united like a family cause they all understood one another. Him using bug types fits into this as well. Bugs are often rejected and the type ain't exactly seen as strong. But he made bugs a threat and showed their power. They all look up to him not out of fear or merely common evil mindset but because he is a true boss who took them all in and saw them not as losers but as allies. He has his quirks but is nonetheless a man who gave hope to countless people even if they were on the wrong path.
First there was Team Rocket, a criminal organization. Then, Team Magma and Aqua, Magma wanting to destroy all water, and Aqua wanting to flood the planet. Then there was Team Galactic, who's leader, Cyrus, wanted to destroy the universe, make a new one, and become a god. Team Plasma wanted to forever seperate humans from Pokemon. Neo Team Plasma wanted to fuck up an entire city with a legendary dragon. Team Flare wanted to destroy the planet because it wasn't perfect. Team Skull wanted to steal a bus stop.
Honestly I breeze thought most of Moon. Best Guzma pretty easily and wasnt impressed at first. But when I reach the main base and chat with the grunts there. I had to second guess everything I was doing. Like no joke, hearing that all of Guzmas grunts were just trainers that failed the trials and were left with nothing, and having this man be a symbol of those lost people, I just couldn't think of this guy as a villain. I mean, he was there when no one else was for a lot of his grunts. How can I beat a man down and not respect him for doing something like that. That's why Guzma is best pokemon game antihero
Honestly, gen 7 feels more richer then gen 8, guzma has made me realize this, he’s just such a great villain character, the music, his personality, all of it is just better then what gen 8 has to offer as of now
@@daimonicreality1590 Arguably, there wasn't really an evil team in SwSh. Yell was annoying, but it wasn't really an evil team. It was just Marnie's hype group and that's about it. Piers and Marnie were great characters, sure, but Yell just... existed.
Guzma is a good character but you shouldn't dismiss 8s characters. They're damn good characters for a pokemon game I'd say. Guzma is better, but 8 has some great characters. Guzma is probably the only character with better music than all of gen 8 in the whole series.... Gen 8 has banger music. 8s characters have good personality too. You are right, but I feel like you're just dismissing gen 8. It wasn't an amazing game, but it was fun. I always prioritize fun.
***** I'm well aware, for anyone here interested in Insect culture, the very thing that gave us Pokemon, check out Insectopedia by Hugh Raffles, it's an amazing read in it's own right, and it'll make ya appreciate Pokemon that much more.
His team actually has good IV's and is even EV trained [Especially in the last battle] Note before Sun/Moon no random enemy had EV's. Only facility fights.
> Magnezone > Not obtainable until after the last fight with him in the story. You mean Magneton. And he overpowered mine. It took out a few of his team but eventually fell.
I swear that fucking Masquerain had choice scarf, choice specs, king's rock and assault vest equipped at once. outsped even my flying types, did half HP damage to pokémon 5 levels higher than it, tanked said 5 level higher's super effective moves and flinched my team nearly to death because it flinches like 80% of the time. Like, I have zero problems having problems with water/rock types since I'm doing a mono-fire run, but that fucking Masquerain has no business being such a demon, the only pokémon (aside from Lusamine's Milotic) that I groan at every time I see it.
Reminder that masquerain had an insane stat boost in gen 7 making its special attack go from 80 to 100 and speed 60 to 80 making it significantly faster and stronger. Combine that to the fact that like all of guzma’s mons it’s fully EV’d in 2 stats (here being speed and special attack) and you have a terrific pokemon to face
Giovanni: Pokemon are nothing more but a means to profit Archie: Im gon wrestle dat tuna Maxie: IGN was right, there is too much water Cyrus: I will be the god of the new world Ghetsis: Im gonna rule the world Lysandre: Im gonna kill everyone Guzma: Y'all are stupid
Quinton Blackburn To be fair, he physically fights those mooks because they ain't worth bringing his pokemon out for. Hell, he's pretty much choking them to near unconciosness while you go through the Rainbow Rocket Paradise.
Lol, I haven't seen this kind of interaction in Pokemon games, where Guzma physically handles the grunts by holding their faces, in a long time. And I think the last time was never but in the anime.
@@catalyst539 he’s the only dark type gym leader unless you count Island Kahuna battles as such then I’d say Nanu’s is better and he wasn’t going all out either, so yeah it doesn’t hold much water.
@daemonicpotato Yeah, Guzma was fairly easy in my run but over the years of pokemon the games seem to be getting just a bit easier. They even did red badly in Let's Go.
@daemonicpotato To be fair, Gamefreak has yet to release a pseudo-legendary Bug-type, and Guzma basically was made to be beaten. ...I remember Cynthia. Her Garchomp was on a ridiculously high level, was a pseudo-legendary, had the strongest STAB-moves it could have for its damage type and it was backed up by other strong, type-noncoherent Pokemon with different utilities like Lucario and Spiritomb. Even if Guzma had somewhat better Pokemon, they´d all need to be Bug-type, be catchable in Alola AND would need to be ridiculously overleveled in order to cover up their inherent weaknesses, as Guzma in these editions does not have the full Bug-type arsenal at his disposal. I really hope we can challenge him in a future edition, all while he uses the strongest kind of Bug-team with reasonable level and good coverage in movesets.
daemonicpotato “Y’all are stupid” I’m in a minority here, but I actually had a harder time in my first match guzma than Cynthia It took me a few tries to beat her, but that’s because I only had one decently leveled Pokémon. A torterra with giga drain, rock smash, strength, and leaf storm. I was 12 Unlike guzma, she didn’t have the courage to face me in a one on one fight. She hid behind her elite four lackeies, let them wear me down, and then finished off the only decent Pokémon I had. And even then, she only won the first few times because I was low on pp A decade passes: I’m wiser, im smarter, I actually UNDERSTAND how Pokémon’s mechanics work I run into guzma Keep in mind that my team is fully rested Two Pokémon? Pfft peace of- This thing has 140 defense, and a workable 90 special defense And the same attack stat as friggin GYARADOS Golisipod FI’s my dartrix into the dirt, and nearly plows through the rest of my decently made team, courtesy of swords dance All by itself. Despite being about the same level as each individual in my whole team I only beat it because I overwhelmed it with sheer numbers Now, to be perfectly fair, i was not prepared for something as bulky as golisopod If I KNEW he was coming, I could have grabbed a toucannon. But then again, hindsight is always 20/20 Ever since then, both guzma, and golisopod earned my respect
*Takes on Guazma* '' Ohhhhhhh this is gonna be easy'' *sends out Decidueye'' *Gets First Impressioned'' *Decidueye faints* *Realizes half of team is weak against bug'''
My Skarmory dealt with him pretty well... until it died to a team skull grunts Gastly with shadow ball. Yeah that felt bullshit. Unfortunately my resident flying type is now Talonflame, so it's not as useful for Guzma.
I think Guzma is my favorite for a few reasons: 1) he can go from comical to tHE MOST INTIMIDATING and back to comical in like ten seconds flat and it's amazing 2) most main villains are pansies at the end of the day; Guzma would 100% fight you man-to-man if your pokemon weren't in the way 3) he simultaneously has the least and the most chill in the entire game 4) his sunglasses 5) this song
The Team Rainbow Rocket episode in USUM makes the second point so true, cause this man was holding back 2 Rocket Grunts in an actual physical confrontaion. Guzma is the best boss.
+David Page True. The closest thing we have to that in USUM is when Guzma says in the RR episode, "I may not be one to talk, but these dudes are stupid!"
Love his response upon defeat. Most villains tell you, “this is impossible ! How could but a mere child defeat me?!?” Ya boy? Gives you props. “Huh... Good job I guess.”
Adrienne Conyea I remember this from the game lol, you go into his parents house, then his room and you see a bunch of bronze and silver trophies in his room
I know i'm late to the party, but here i am. Guzma is a really lovable character, replaying through USUM though, something was there that I had overlooked previously. A house on Route 2. A man inside of it talks about a boy who left home without a word, and how he would attempt to beat this boy into shape when in the end - he was the one who was beat. Looking more around the house, a child's room filled with second and third place trophies is another big hint as to who this might be, golf clubs that look beaten up and broken are there as well. It soon became obvious that Guzma lived here as a boy, at least that's what I've gathered, and he was beaten by his father(?) until he decided to run away. Man.
Yep! You can even find him there taking his boom box back, and the father was "out" for the day. Guzma was abused as a kid until he ran away, starting Team Skull. Its WHY he started team skull, for people like him. His anger issues are probably a by product of the abuse he took, and he never got that checked out by a professional
+truearea53 Actually, if comparing grunt pokemon team rosters, Team Flare is considerably stronger than Team Skull in virtually every category, as the only evolved pokemon Team Skull grunts use are Golbats and a few rare Haunters (with i think literally one Toxapex somewhere), whilst Team Flare grunts end up having the likes of Golbat, Scrafty, Houndoom, Mightyena, Toxicroak, and Swalot. This is based roughly in the same part of the games as well when they appear last (Skull grunts prior to the final Trial and Flare grunts prior to reaching the final gym). This can be partially explained by Flare grunts being societal elites with the resources to get stronger rosters while Skull grunts are broke former trial-goers who have to do with cheap, weaker rosters.
Guzma: I'm the Team Skull, and I've never been scared of nothing or nobody. Heck, I live my life making people scared of ME! Guzma: So listen to what big bad Guzma has to say... Guzma: Y'all are stupid! Best freaking character ever.
When I first saw this guy, given his grunts, I thought he was going to act just like them and be really unlikeable. Then he spoke and I loved every minute he was on screen from that point forward.
people laugh at how team skull wanted to steal a bus stop but that stuff is so on character with them and the reason why they are probably my favourite bad guys team on the series, not because they are goofs but because of how they portray low criminals, they are a pack of marginalized young people with no hopes or dreams that gave up and turned to crime so they could have goals to pursue, a place to call home, a group to call family, just to get used by powerful elites and serve as their illegal operations team with no consequences for them
Stupid decisions are removing the national pokedex, removing four types of battles, and making *half* of the possible megastones unobtainable in game. This? This is a nitpick. But still stupid. You can set it as battle tree BGM.
***** It's been removed along with triple, rotation, horde, and inverse battles. Half the Megastones are unobtainable in game as well. People are trying to say these are good things and it mystifies me.
Team Skull is the one of the only teams that actually has style. No, Team Flare's hot pants are not 'style' in my book. It has also come to my attention that other teams do indeed have style. My apologies.
@@TheLateLordKardok I mean, he's not the type to actually kill you though, being death threatened by Giovanni actually sounds more threatening lol, considering Guzma isn't really evil and he really would not kill the Protagonist.
Out of all the types, bug types is the only one that is consistently bad (Mediocre at best) and the fact that Game Freak took note of this and made a Leader based on powerful bug types makes me highly respect them for the hustle.
@@questionmarkquestionmarkques I’d say bug types were always either really weak or really strong (heracross, scizor, ya mega, etc) but then from Gen 5 there we’re almost no more “weak” ones
Others: I like this character for their depth and development across the series. Relatable struggles and flaws that they not only posses, but face and try to overcome and the possible victory of failure only shows more of their character and their enviable decline or success displays their flawed human sides. A person written from the heart of another human being that is relatable and realistic in a way only a masterfully crafted human of evolving emotions could. Me: _ya'll_
Everyone saying how "Bug type has always been weak, except for Guzma" when that's the exact reason why he uses them He has always been rejected, the second one, the one in the shadows, and that's why he uses the Bug type, the "weak" and "useless" one This is also why he formed Team Skull, which isn't a villain organization, but just people who were also rejected by society
I love Pokémon sun and moon so much, although it’s probably nostalgia speaking since it was the first Pokémon game I played (I was 9 or 10 at the time) it has really good mechanics and the story is great too.
Team Rocket: We're finally gonna capture Pikachu! Guzma: Wait you two have been stalking the same kid for the last 18 seasons of this anime all for a fucking Pikachu? A Pokémon that isn't Legendary? Or even Shiny? Team Rocket: Of course. Pikachu is the only Pokémon that truly matters. Guzma: Ya'll are stupid...
We got so many decent or really good Bug Types right now. Mega Beedrill Mega Pinsir Scizor Heracross Shuckle Ninjask Yanmega Scolipede Levanny Volcarona Golisopod
He's also got a stylized S and M on the disks on his necklace. (The M is mostly obscured by the S but you can see the three....bottom parts sticking out from underneath)
I really love this guy. And it makes all the more interesting that his Type specialty is Bug. He despises being belittled and despairs in trying to be number one; something about that is almost so relatable... Y'know what, I think words are failing me miserably...
Bruh honestly this was one of the more underrated battle themes- these entire games were underrated and I enjoyed them a thousand times more than I ever did sword and shield
Yeah, S/M and US/UM imo are actually very good pokémon games - yes, way too many unskippeable cutscenes and tutorials, absolutely. Hope any remakes will just make the tutorials optional and the cutscenes skippeable, imo that alone would make the games basically "perfect" (also give us the Glaceon rock at the base of Mount Lanakila you dumb fucks). But aside from that? Imo US/UM has good difficulty, the totem pokémon are an amazing challenge and different to the gym leader stuff, the whole region and everything just *oozes* charm, the UB stuff aside the region and games in general have that whimsical, funny tone (sure the humous can hit or miss, but imo in general it's nice), the characters are imo amazing all throughout, they fixed the Exp. share well (before fucking it up again in Sw/Sh), and Lusamine is a delightfully despicable antagonist (again, UB plot aside which is abit over the top, her treatment of her children being cruel depictions of parental abuse were well-done) and ma boi Guzma is one of the best evil team leaders ever. While I still think gen 4-5 are the best pokémon gens so far and the franchise's zenith, imo gen 7 stands out as another peak among the dumpsterfire that was Kalos (the gen 3 remakes were decent, good even) and whatever the fuck Sw/Sh was supposed to be. Heck, even though I'd say gen 5 might be "objectively" better than gen 7, for me personally gen 7 is my second favourite gen behind gen 4 (Platinum and HG/SS being absolutely amazing and platinum hard-carrying D/P). Heck, I'd say the biggest issue and why gen 6 and 8 are probably the most reviled currently are that they never got third editions or something like B/W 2 or US/UM to fix the issues that always plague the first two games in a gen.
As someone who started in Silver/Johto and therefore is as unbiased as someone can be in this situation. I just want to say that Shield/Sword are just embarrassing by comparison but tbf character and storywise, how does the Pokemon franchise expect to compete with Sun/Moon anyways? Yess SoulSilver & Sun are my favorite core series games in the franchise btw and I've been to every core region minus Scarlet/Violet's so technically this is coming from an experienced "veteran" but ik it's just my opinion, though I highly doubt anyone who didn't start with SwSh and actually played SM would disagree.
Fuck i love everything about this character. His pose while battling, his battle theme, his obnoxious personality, it's amazing. They did a really good job creating him.
Every time i hear this, I imagine Guzma just putting down a boombox, turning this on, and THEN sending his 'mon out. This sounds straight out of his mix tape.
Sun and Moon (and USUM) are highly underrated games, in my opinion. They gave us straight bangers for the soundtrack and the character development/plot twists were well executed.
a lot of the music was pretty meh. this song in particular is good, but I can barely remember most of the themes from the game and I was playing it last night
As a huge sm/usum fan ngl a lot of overworld songs did kinda just go over my head and were nothing too special. I liked pretty much every battle theme tho and the handful of overworld songs that did slap, SLAPPED

I'd think he'd sound more Mexican/Latino, Plumeria and Guzmas names are based on a flowers found in Mexico/South America and Team Skulls character designs seem to take inspiration from Southern Californian Latino Gangstas. Guzman is a common Mexican surname as well. Notice how he's not as dark as Hau, Hala, or any of the other Native Alolans, and since Alola has a rich and diverse population, it's not far fetched for him be of non-Alolan descent.

Hmm. Intresting

Yeah he also trains the considered worst type: bug
But His team... Really makes justice to the type.
He's the bad guy, but this doesnt make him a bad guy.

@@daimonicreality1590 Arguably, there wasn't really an evil team in SwSh. Yell was annoying, but it wasn't really an evil team. It was just Marnie's hype group and that's about it. Piers and Marnie were great characters, sure, but Yell just... existed.

Jamille Mendoza I had Arcanine in my team along with Magnezone and still. Gave me a hard time. Just Golisopod and Masquarain
His team actually has good IV's and is even EV trained [Especially in the last battle]
Note before Sun/Moon no random enemy had EV's. Only facility fights.
> Magnezone
> Not obtainable until after the last fight with him in the story.
You mean Magneton. And he overpowered mine. It took out a few of his team but eventually fell.
This man is so strong he made a Masquerain a genuine threat. Think about that for a moment.
I swear that idiot masquerain took down my alolan marowak

Everyone: Bug type sucks, and is weak.
Guzma’s team: Allow us to introduce ourselves.
@daemonicpotato It's pokemon, sure his team sucked but it was story, not competitive
@daemonicpotato Yeah, Guzma was fairly easy in my run but over the years of pokemon the games seem to be getting just a bit easier. They even did red badly in Let's Go.
@daemonicpotato keep in mind guzma failed to become a captain in the context of the story
I really hope we can challenge him in a future edition, all while he uses the strongest kind of Bug-team with reasonable level and good coverage in movesets.
daemonicpotato
“Y’all are stupid”
I’m in a minority here, but I actually had a harder time in my first match guzma than Cynthia
It took me a few tries to beat her, but that’s because I only had one decently leveled Pokémon. A torterra with giga drain, rock smash, strength, and leaf storm. I was 12
Unlike guzma, she didn’t have the courage to face me in a one on one fight. She hid behind her elite four lackeies, let them wear me down, and then finished off the only decent Pokémon I had. And even then, she only won the first few times because I was low on pp
A decade passes:
I’m wiser, im smarter, I actually UNDERSTAND how Pokémon’s mechanics work
I run into guzma
Keep in mind that my team is fully rested
Two Pokémon? Pfft peace of-

And the same attack stat as friggin GYARADOS
Golisipod FI’s my dartrix into the dirt, and nearly plows through the rest of my decently made team, courtesy of swords dance
All by itself. Despite being about the same level as each individual in my whole team
I only beat it because I overwhelmed it with sheer numbers
Now, to be perfectly fair, i was not prepared for something as bulky as golisopod
If I KNEW he was coming, I could have grabbed a toucannon. But then again, hindsight is always 20/20
Ever since then, both guzma, and golisopod earned my respect

bring it below 50% with a Z move and it activates emergency exit which prevents it from attacking.

3) he simultaneously has the least and the most chill in the entire game
4) his sunglasses

Kaitlin Martin So, he's a human version of Aku?
The Team Rainbow Rocket episode in USUM makes the second point so true, cause this man was holding back 2 Rocket Grunts in an actual physical confrontaion. Guzma is the best boss.
Kaitlin Martin
Yup! He's the man for the job. Best homie in the history of pokemon!
+David Page True. The closest thing we have to that in USUM is when Guzma says in the RR episode, "I may not be one to talk, but these dudes are stupid!"

@@Amooger his father was apparently also pretty physically abusive to him.

Actually, if comparing grunt pokemon team rosters, Team Flare is considerably stronger than Team Skull in virtually every category, as the only evolved pokemon Team Skull grunts use are Golbats and a few rare Haunters (with i think literally one Toxapex somewhere), whilst Team Flare grunts end up having the likes of Golbat, Scrafty, Houndoom, Mightyena, Toxicroak, and Swalot.
This is based roughly in the same part of the games as well when they appear last (Skull grunts prior to the final Trial and Flare grunts prior to reaching the final gym). This can be partially explained by Flare grunts being societal elites with the resources to get stronger rosters while Skull grunts are broke former trial-goers who have to do with cheap, weaker rosters.

people laugh at how team skull wanted to steal a bus stop but that stuff is so on character with them and the reason why they are probably my favourite bad guys team on the series, not because they are goofs but because of how they portray low criminals, they are a pack of marginalized young people with no hopes or dreams that gave up and turned to crime so they could have goals to pursue, a place to call home, a group to call family, just to get used by powerful elites and serve as their illegal operations team with no consequences for them

This is also why he formed Team Skull, which isn't a villain organization, but just people who were also rejected by society
Pokemon games get dark once you really dive deep into them, remember that guy in BW that literally wanted to k*ll a child?
We did it! We did Achieve 100K :')

Pokeli your welcome Pokeli you deserved this you post great Pokemon content to your channel
I like how you can hear a bit of the Aether Foundation theme, as a bit of foreshadowing to his ultimate role in the story.
Of course, because his ultimate goal is to be the coolest cat.
Breaking News: Bug Catcher Goes Sicko Mode on the Alola Region!

Say what you will about sun and moon, you can't deny they had a killer soundtrack
tbh music is one thing that has not dropped in quality since the series started being rushed

Y'all need Wimpods, man
I would love to see something like that in the anime.

He's also got a stylized S and M on the disks on his necklace. (The M is mostly obscured by the S but you can see the three....bottom parts sticking out from underneath)
Max Larson oh yeah!
Max Larson No, I think it's just the S (for skull) and the thing under the S is the teeth of the skull, that's why the S is shaped like that
I really love this guy. And it makes all the more interesting that his Type specialty is Bug. He despises being belittled and despairs in trying to be number one; something about that is almost so relatable...
Y'know what, I think words are failing me miserably...
I mean, Bug types tend to have the lowest stat totals of all fully evolved Pokemon, so it fits :p
There is Genesect
Aveture
Does bug Archeus count?
I know some people do, but I think because Arceus has to hold an item to become a bug type so it's not a true bug legendary.
Genesect is mythical, not legendary. But still, it's pretty close.
Plot twist
Guzma is the first bug catcher you run into in Red

I don’t understand why some people remix this. Why would you tamper with perfection?
Probably just to experiment with the theme, but I understand your grievance.
I use this as my music in the battle tree
This music is much closer to perfection than Ghetsis will ever be!
Ya boi guzma will f em up
You speak truth my friend
I wish Guzma kept his awesome theme when you battle him post-game... really would've made the final fight even more satisfying.
Interdimensional Galactic Space Pellet but in post game he already disbanded team skull. Hes no longer team skull boss so it makes sense.

The Late Lord Kardok Get to the Emergency Exit
Team skull and Guzma was my first antagonist team and by far in my opinion the best...
Okay. So here's the better question:
Which team is better? Team Skull, or Team Skull.
*That is if you know what I am talking about.*
Espeon804
Both cause i like both leaders.
*REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE GUZMA*
Espeon804 Ohhh! Mystery Dungeon Explorers! I almost forgot about that 😅 Team Skull in Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun and Moon.
i'm actually pretty sad that a team of Skuntank, Koffing, and Zubat wasn't even used ONCE.
This is unfair. Skunktank isn't even on a level anywhere close to Ya Boi
Fuck i love everything about this character. His pose while battling, his battle theme, his obnoxious personality, it's amazing. They did a really good job creating him.
YA'LL ARE STUPID!
I Agree With You Completly...
Isabella The Great sameeeeee
Isabella The Great agreed
Isabella The Great i was so surprised when he used this fucking Golisopod at the beginning of First battle hahah
Every time i hear this, I imagine Guzma just putting down a boombox, turning this on, and THEN sending his 'mon out. This sounds straight out of his mix tape.
Damn it, now I can't get that image out of my head!
Better yet : his battle stance has him carrying that boombox on his shoulder and rocking his head to the beat.
This needs to happen. Plus, the speakers mimick the shape of his glasses.
Declan Brown no this totally happened I won't believe this is a lie
Declan Brown
I can't get that image out of my head now.
Sun and Moon (and USUM) are highly underrated games, in my opinion. They gave us straight bangers for the soundtrack and the character development/plot twists were well executed.
Most of the overworld themes were forgettable imo
@@SMCwasTaken nah that poni island Exeggutor Island/Route theme is ingraned into my memory forever

Pokemon Villains and Their Evil Plans:
Giovanni - Steal all the Pokemon and be the Pokemafia.
Archie - Wake up Kyogre and make Waterworld real.
Maxie - Wake up Groudon to stop there being too much water.
Cyrus - Imprison Dialga and Palkia and become a god.
Ghetsis - Found PokePETA and use it as a springboard to world domination.
Lysandre - Imprison Xerneas and Yveltal and use them to power a superweapon that will kill everyone but you.
Lusamine - Access Ultra Space and gain the power of the Ultra Beasts for... reasons.
Guzma - Gain respect on the street and look out for your gang.

This theme is...perfect. It fits both Guzma and Team Skull perfectly. It’s uncanny how good Game Freak is at not only making excellent music, but also creating that music within a preset, limiting theme
If only they were that good at making games
Music is always a constant high note of the games
Even the trash heaps that were sword and sheild had that gym theme and the battle tower theme (toby fox theme)
I encountered him for the first time yesterday. It was a beautiful thing.
The golisopod? Fuck that thing, I nearly died to his Ariados. He got TWO BOOSTS from Fell Stinger on my weakened pokemon.
For the longest time, i was laughing as my Carbink that i got tanked through everything while setting up Reflect to help me cheese my way through most battles.
Safe to say, my jaw dropped when it got OHKOs like a little bitch against Guzma's Golisopod's Razor Shell. The rest of the battle more or less amounting to me yelling: "SHIT SHIT SHIT! Why won't this thing die?!" as it tanked everything i threw at it while hitting back like a nuke. Thank fuck that it's switch-out ability activated the turn it used Swords Dance or else i would've been swept.
Also, who else is excited to try out Technician boosted 50BP Fell Stinger with Kricketune this gen?
I would've thought his Golisopod was threatening, but at that time I had my own which was about 5 levels higher
Sean Phillips I had an Alolan Raichu at level 34 so he wasn't that frightening either.
But still, woo boy was he cool.
