- You’re about to fall in love with this pueblo magico as we take you to explore its charming architecture, local gastronomy, it’s magical garden, and breathtaking views of one of Mexico’s largest volcanos, Popocatepetl. Alixco de la flores is located in Puebla and only 3 hours away from Mexico City.
We came to Atlixco in July, right after our Royal Caribbean cruise and just before we moved to Mexico City. We wanted to experience small town living one more time before hitting the big city. And our week in Atlixco was everything we needed. Relaxing, but with plenty to explore, delicious food, so so green and beautiful, and incredible views of the majestic Popocateptl volcano. This is a town we’d come back to again and again.
We’ve been to 27 pueblos magicos now, and it's our goal to see all 177 someday! We’ve been exploring the beauty of Mexico and growing closer to our heritage since we left Chicago in 2021, and there’s still A LOT to do, see, and learn. So if you haven’t already, make sure you’re subscribed with the notifications on so you don’t miss a video.

Honestly!
As a Salvadorean, I have to admit one thing.
Anything & everything that has to do with Mexican culture & especially the food has got to be the best in the world...
🇸🇻❤️🇲🇽...
Great video, guys....!
I don’t disagree 😉🇲🇽✨🫶🏻 but that being said, we look forward to visiting your lovely homeland someday. We’ve had pupusas in Chicago but the goal is to have them in El Salvador one day!

Black American here, born and raised in Saint Louis, Mo but lives in Houston, TX for 12 years. I absolutely love traveling to Mexico and I came across your videos. Great, interesting content. I just subscribed!!!
Thank you so much for the comment and supporting our content! We hope all is well in Houston with you. Feel free to reach out if you plan to come to Mexico
🍃🌺 The part about the avocado tree was so sentimental. What a cool place to explore!🌺🍃🌋
yea, it was the cherry on top for us in Atlixco 🥲
I didn't know that The Italian Coffee Company was Mexican. We see them everywhere and never go in. We loved the gardens in Atlixco when we went but the Christmas museum was closed. Cheers from Cuernavaca!
Hey friends! Christmas museum was okay, the real treat was the garden!
Any plans for a live stream? You two are an inspiration and representing Mexico as it should.
hi 🤗 we do them every once in a while, I think we can definitely plan for another one soon 😁
I'm so glad you guy have been able to keep the videos coming since the big move. Thank you
that's the goal! 🤗

😊
Thsnk you for this really good video
I’m so glad you liked it!
Mexico City seems like it fits you both well , great city !!
Thanks! It’s a short drive away from really cool towns like this one
Epic. Thanks 4 the share. On our way to Xalapa in few weeks!
Hope you enjoy it!
Hands down, the best Mexico travel videos. Being fluent in Spanish, you interact with the locals more than most. When traveling, I prefer to avoid Gringos, expats, European globe trotters, and clueless tourists, who don't "get" the culture. For me, culture is one of the biggest draws. Muchos Gracias!
Saludos y gracias por compartir tan lindos lugares para planerar unas vacaciones desde Cicero, IL.
Gracias a ti por tu lindo comentario! Y saludos a nuestro querido Cicero ❤
Cute place! Love the salsa shines part)) 🤩 🌻
hehe thanks!
Just discovered the channel. I’ve never been to Mexico but I’m moving to Arizona soon and can’t WAIT for all the adventures over there!! You two are just so charming and down-to-earth. So beautiful. Keep it up!
Thanks Kevin and Jenny for another video which made me add another destination to my Mexico list! 🇲🇽
Our pleasure! ☺️😉🌸✨
Atlixco el mejor clima del mundo. Saludos, yo soy de la Ciudad de Puebla
Hermosísimo pueblo ☺️🫶🏻🌸 gracias por su saludo! Que tenga excelente día 🤗
Puebla has been my favorite state of Mexico since I visited it the first time 20 years ago. Thanks for pointing to this interesting town, I put it right on top of my "must visit list" for the next trip

Love your videos!!!!
Thank you so much for the love!. We truly appreciate the comments! Saludos
How did you read my mind? I needed a good video about Atlixco! Hope you do more around Puebla state and city.
Like this ➡️ 🧘🏻♀️ lol jk I’m glad it was good timing for you! 😁 we definitely will!
First time I see your videos, it’s so nice to see you two enjoying and sharing the beauty of Mexico towns.
Hey there, welcome to our channel! Hope you enjoy our other videos as well 🫶🏽🤗
Wow what a special colorful town it looks so beautiful thank you for showing us another amazing town in Mexico!! 🌺🌸🌼🪻
Glad you enjoyed it 🤗
I love Mexico City
We are still getting used it but so far so good.
I appreciate your interest in showing and blogging about Atlixco. It's my home town. You guys did a wonderful job on your video. As a suggestion, it will help if you can give an overview of history on the sites that you visited. La plaza del cerro de San Miguel is full with incredible history as well as other sites that you taped.
As a native of Atlixco it will make me happier to see that bloggers could make an effort to learn and share about the history of the towns visited. Thank you for sharing!
Hola 👋🏼 I appreciate your suggestion 🫶🏻 we try to include as much history as we can on limited time but will try to do better. Glad you still liked the video 😊
I love mexico city
Atlixco is a 2 hour drive from Mexico City

Thank you for sharing this adventure. We recently stayed in Cuernevaca and Puebla but now wish we would have included this beautiful pueblo magico on our trip!
Next time, we loved it so much we extended an extra couple of days.
Killer vid!! Love that town! We're heading to PV area, one of the smaller pueblos, if strong internet. Then Xalapa......We feel something pulling us there, and loved your take on it as well. We'll deff hit this town as well. Cheers!!

We spent our honeymoon in Puebla, Cholula and Atlixco. Loved the video and seeing familiar sites. We went to the Benito Juarez Mercado and came in on the other side. We almost walked right past the entrance. Great video guys!!
What a lovely honeymoon I’m sure that was! We haven’t been to Puebla or Cholula yet, but Atlixco is such a dreamy lovely town to fall in love all over again 🥰
Amazing vlog!! Definitely need to make a trip to atlixco now
You should! Glad you enjoyed the vlog 🤗

@@EatBailaTravel Congratulations on your new apartment and your new job Jenny. It was nice for you guys to show us other neighborhoods outside of the typical Roma, Condesa y Polanco.

OH my gosh I just came back from a month in Mexico (so so many thanks for your vlogs for the amazing information and food spots!! Those street gorditas in Queretaro, wow!!) and I avoided The Italian Coffee Company the whole time, for the same reason 🤣🤣🤣 Dang, thank you for actually doing the research hahaha also yes ew Starbucks, every time I saw one I was personally offended 😝
Hahaha it’s so funny how we thought the same thing! 😆 well then next time you’re in Mexico you can enjoy that coffee also guilt free 😜 lol
And yum.. I miss those street gorditas from Querétaro 😋 glad you got to try them!

My mother was born there. Cool little town

Loved this, you guys. I know we already “talked” about this on IG, but I loved seeing your experience in Atlixco. We año my had an afternoon, so we completely missed the Mercado-definitely need to go back for a longer stay!
There’s always next time! 😉☺️

Informative and entertaining. The kiosko was the prettiest I have seen, the walk upto view the volcano was picturesque. Jenny, you are a super graceful dancer, like a bailarina. Did you just pick it up or did you have some training in ball room or similar dancing. Keivn, you also have the moves
I wouldn't call it training exactly, but I have taken a few salsa dance classes 😁 Thanks so much for your comment 🤗
Gracias, se ve súper bonito. Yo tampoco sabía lo del Italian Coffee Company
La verdad me sorprendió! 😆☕️
Bonito pueblo ❤
La verdad que sí 🌸✨

nice video guys thx for doing this. just an idea I think if I guys turn the camera to the street and talking showing us the environment instead your face it should be more fun ❤

Thank you for the info on the Italian Coffee Company. I had no idea and I have never patronized one either because I did think it was a US or Canadian based company.
and the coffee was delicious! try it next time 😁
We’ll be in Puebla in a few weeks, maybe we’ll work out way here. 👍🏼
It’s definitely worth a stop!
❤❤. Nice to visit , but to live there? Mexicano Beverly Hills Downey Ca. I speak Spanish with family and friends and work , English only.
You’d definitely need to speak Spanish if you wanted to live in Atlixco
@@EatBailaTravel Yes, I speak Spanish, but I can’t read it. To be Honest I spend five Years in Mexicano, the Bad is the laws not being enforced. that is why, I say love to visit, but not live there. Respect Surfer Frank Downey Cal
🌺 It looks so beautiful there in Atlixco. I’m looking for a place in Mexico with a temperate climate and because of the altitude it may be a contender. I’ll have to check it out. 🌼
There’s already a small population of foreigners growing. Might be worth checking out
🌸💮🏵️

Hi. I subscribed to your channel.
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome to the Eat Baila Travel community 🫶🏽🌮💃🏻🕺
Atlixco is so pretty, and the views of Popo are great! 🌺Even though it's out of the question for now, is Atlixco a place you would consider living?
good question! although it's now one of our favorite towns, I don't think we'd actually live there. We could happily spend a week there, but it's a bit too sleepy for us (there's no salsa dance scene that we know of lol)
🌹💐🌸
Gracias! 🤗🫶🏻

And I still agree with you! 😁
What’s the best city to dance salsa?
In the world? Cali, Colombia!! 🇨🇴🤩
Hi :) any salsa dancing there?
hi! We didn't see any but also didn't really look. It's such a small town, I'd be surprised if they did have salsa socials
Hi I'm Xavienne, did you take photos of the mural in the town square? It is the history of the Mayans coming from Atlantis after the Fall of Atlantis. I want to see these photos.
Hi Xavienne, no unfortunately we didn't take photos, just video. We rushed through it a bit because we needed to finish filming but next time we're in Atlixco we want to do the mural tour
@@EatBailaTravel Thank you very much. The murals describe Atlantis falling & some of the Atlanteans swam to Mexico & USA. If you do take pictures or video May I please have a copy. Sincerely your friend Xavienne
Sure thing!
@@EatBailaTravel thank you very much
Tu estabas en la piramide mas alta del mundo la Iglesia de color amarillo esta sobre la piramide.
No era Cholula pero si me imagino que esta iglesia tambien fue establecida encima de una piramide.
Órale. Another righteous video. Se bañan.
Thanks! 🫶🏻✨🌸🤗🧼🫡
Great video...just please stop saying the "x" in Atlixco...is pronounced as an "s" so Atlisco....but otherwise i enjoyed the video 😊
😆 noted! Lo que es no saber 🫣🤭 pero para eso se aprende 🤗
