This is the greatest piece of thought from this video: Self esteem is not the ability to accept your perfection, all the things you're good at; self esteem is the ability to accept all the things you are not good at.
Parents are not the only adults who directly affect kids, unless they’re raised in a vacuum. Even when parents were great, other adults in community, at school, in the neighborhood etc can only be happy when trying to undermine the self worth of kids around them, and of other adults. We’re born with normal self worth, but people who lose theirs and don’t really recover will often try to undermine the self worth of others, whomever they can, however they can.
I thought it was my wifi at first. Reset the app. Dang I bet he said something really powerful that the enemy doesn’t want to get out so people feel confident and understand how his tactics work.
My mom can't see why I'm so negative and unhappy, when she had a major role to play in how my personality developed. Was always living in fear when she was around and anxiety when she wasn't because I knew she'd yell about something as soon as she got home.
Bro Ive grow up with a mom that constantly called me dumb or not funny. And since im shy I always think people get tired of me cause I dont have nothing to offer
Sir, your right we also need to accept our imperfections. and i notice something the people who say think positive and suggest to practice cbt they always say dont think about nagative events of your life its sad they have views in millions but your still underrated
You left the gap in your vid, from 09:30 to 14:00. A great example, keeping the gap, knowing the shadow, being perfectly imperfect. To me I won't accept any shadow, at least I won't act on it. But the rest will be, will be me. It will make it easy to me to accept the imperfections of others. I asked myself a lot, what do I love about others? It allways happend to be the imperfections. I will invite the world to do the same to me. Desde Sudamérica
I am glad you brought it up. I was beaten by a teacher. I am successful I own millions in assets. But to this day I feel horrendous. My wife is displaying the same type of nasty 🤢 behaviours. I love my daughter and I tell her every day.
16:43 This is bringing up the subconscious fear that I have with conversing with my mother. Now I know why. This was my upbringing experience, predisposed to bottle up my real emotion in fear of an inquisition( like the infamous one in 1300's Spain). And I would catch myself patronizing on others the same way. All these years, I thought it was just me, never aware it was mimicking. Another layer of the childhood trauma onion has been peeled.
I dont believe so much in we become what our childhood was rather I think in we become what we think about and it has more to do with who we are surrounded by all the time. Even if you had healthy parenting you can still end up with low self esteem coz you hang out with ppl that takes away that, I like to say that self esteem is more built up in how you were treated in early school years.
Thanks, its true.. My Mother still pick on me, Im 50 year, I try not to be my Mother. She is strong and dominant, sorry to say, she is a narcissm, everything I do is not good, even Im a singel mom, I will learn, do wrong yes I do, but I can say " Im sorry."..They never said that.. Its a New year, Im tired of get bulled. IM LOST, BUT NOT NOW I will be find, and fine 😁🎀🌲!
It's just something that happened.. something that is. It's life. It doesn't go away. It's a permanent formation. There's really no answer, no solution, no sense in even discussing it.
I am still trying to get the part of when you ask somebody how they are doing can be evil. Iis it because when they tell you the story you feel like they need you to tell you the story and for you to feel like the savior? Cuz people always tell me their life story and I am always like tell the therapist. My mother always told me in a way that you have to be there for another but not for yourself😫

I did my inner child work and I will never go back to that I finally learned to love myself! ❤ thank you for this!

Awesome stuff! It is very healing to examine what most people as freakishly frightened of.

I never thought I would find someone exactly identical to me.

Yes, TH-cam blanked it out for some reason????
YES!!! Denial 🙌🏼👏🏼❤
I read that Johnny Depp won his trial bc he was honest about his struggles, addictions and imperfections.
I like the honesty. Just straight up say it how it is. Thank you. 😊

Let's not forget about school teachers. They can play a huge part in our self-esteem.
I am glad you brought it up.

From minute 8:50 to 13:42 that toxic shame took over and completely shut him down ;-)
This was amazing
Wowzers. This hits!! Thank you.

From 8:49 to 13:42 there is a gap. Does anyone know what he says in that gap?
Your video is blank in the middle- wonder if you can fix it.
Cowboys don't cry....Shane Shane I love you shane
How does exposing your flaws make you brave?
This video glitches at the 9.38 mark on my end. Bummer, because I was getting good insights from the content.
There are a few minutes in the middle of this video that are blank with no words or content. Good video though.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure why TH-cam is blocking that portion?
@@kennyweiss Information is important, education too.
Matrix blocks anything we are not ready yet to hear, in one way or another.
@@kennyweiss ,Oops.the videos are informative.Appreciated 🙏🏼🌺
why is there a big gap in the middle of the video?
All because you asked questions?
Do you always dress nice?
Yes… even to the grocery store on a Saturday morning. I just love clothes and fashion.😁🕺
@@kennyweiss lovely, you have great attention to details!
@@kennyweissnow that's a sense of self! I hardly wear any good clothes 😔
❤❤❤❤❤❤
For some reason the video want out partially through
Yes, I’m not sure why TH-cam blocked that out
I think he's telling the truth... of Boomers.
Ridiculous colour coordination. From the suits to the background and props.
There's no visuals/voice in the video from 08:48 to 13:42
