    TUF Gaming is such a cool brand. I ended up getting a TUF Gaming motherboard and monitor just because they were the best value options at the time and I was already familiar with ASUS' monitor OSD and BIOS from my previous hardware.

    Absolutely love the black and gold theme. All time favorite build i've ever seen. Hands down. Asus Tuf branding is my favorite series of GPU's. I also love their motherboards and monitors. I love the Tuf lineup, I like it way more than ROG. Just personal preference. I just feel like the build quality is so superior, up there with strix cards and motherboards, mind you with a tad less RGB, but i'm not a fan of heavy RGB anyways. I just bought a Tuf 4070ti yesterday, picking up a 7700x and Tuf B650 motherboard tomorrow. Was looking into this case or Lian Li. I have an MSI aio from my previous 3070 build I am gonna use for now but i'll probably go with something minimal with no RGB except for the waterblock. I like Be Quiet, and arctic coolers. Also grabbing an NZXT 850 gold psu because my 650w seasonic focus plus won't do the job. It could but no headroom.

    • @volcalstone
      @volcalstone ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I like black and gold too. I'm wanting to make my build around this too but using all MSI items when possible. Picked up a 4090 Liquid X recently. I'm eyeballing an MSI MEG m/b. The matching 1300W PSU is OOS until another month. Not sure if I could wait that long. The only thing is that I heard MSI AIOs aren't that good tho. I might get another brand instead.

  • @Trusteft
    @Trusteft ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Two things I would do differently.
    One, I wouldn't go for a black case, though I have to admit this case with the lights from the fans set to gold looks great. I don't like black color for electronics, but your combo makes it look really good.
    Two, even if I could afford them, I would refuse to buy hardware with such high power consumption. Not just for the cost, but for the environment. I could perhaps tolerate a RTX 4080, and go for a lower consumption CPU. 500W should be at least the total consumption of the PC, not almost the GPU alone. But that's just me.
    Otherwise, I do like ASUS and I would have no problem getting their hardware.
    Same with Intel and Nvidia.
    Thanks for the video, plus you look great and very festive.
    Have a great new year!

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!
      Tbh total power use during gaming would probably be around 600 Watts or so, so it's not even that much more. But I agree, especially with power costs like here, it's not nothing.
      And happy NY to you too!

    Build my PC with a custom Corsair a case, Cooler master 850 W Gold power EATX supply, Asus Z590 PLUS WIFI, 16GB DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz, Asus GTX 1080 TI custom water-cooled NZXT 3 fans, 2 M2 500GB, 1 Intel Optane for swapfile 32 GB, Samsung EVO 2 + EVO Q 1 for a total of 6 TB SSD. Stil runs most games on ultra but stammers on 4k here and there because it lacks the new DSR AI of the RTX cards. Hence ill be making a step up eventually from the GTX 1080 TI -> RTX 4070 TI - 4080. Power consumption wise it's probably best to take a 4070 TI. Can't wait to see Realtime lighting in action as well. :D

  • @drawdebono77

    Ok, so as you have two M.2 and connect only a 2TB stick, you avoid talking about available slots for disks. Won't even mention that I need space for 4 3.5in HHDs, as everyone will say why I use mechanical disks on 2023 -won't bother to answer what is obvious- but if I have a couple of SSDs, where can I put any HDD/SSD in this case? There's a lot of space, everyone can see that, but seems like a lot of wasted space, lot of air circulating around.... nothing but a CPU, and a GPU. Noone needs 13 fans for only those two components.

  • @77netwar
    @77netwar ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I also have an all TUF build, but with a RTX 3090 TUF, HyperX RGB RAM, the same AIO cooler and the GT501 case. I also built in an LCD monitor and custom RGB lighting. I gotta say, the new GT502 together with the 4090 TUF is looking very sexy. The fact that the GT502 can hold 13 fans blows my mind. I don't understand why there is no 360 AIO cooler in TUF branding (yet), though. I think there is a market for it. 😄 Anyway, awesome build, I love it. 💕

    Looks great! I love the way it turned out. The only thing I would have done differently is make the vertical three fans on the side of the case intakes, that way there will be a positive pressure in the case and temps will be better, also it will accumulate less dust in the long term.

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Airflow wise that would make sense, but it'd look ugly. You'd need a nice fan with RGB on both sides to make that work imho.

    You're running negative pressure with 5 exhaust and only 3 intake. You're better off running 6 intake and 2 exhaust given the heat that the 13900 and 4090 can crank out. More cool air is always best, and the positive case pressure will help keep dust from building up inside it as long as that case has filters on your intakes.

I usually build with AMD with ROG Strix boards, but caught a good deal on an Tuf Gaming/Intel bundle. I did read that you can use Armory Crate to control the fans, but Armory Crate just made a mess of them. Love your new Tuf Gaming build!

  • @pointandshootvideo
    @pointandshootvideo ปีที่แล้ว

    The build looks awesome! It would be great if you threw in any 360 on top to see if actually keep the temps down. OR put the 240 on the side and the 3 fans up top. AND/OR remove the metal side panel because I'm wondering if you're getting enough airflow through those small holes. And did you try adding a rear exhaust fan? And maybe you need a smoke machine to see what the airflow looks like. Just thinking out loud ^_^. Cheers!

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  ปีที่แล้ว

      If they had a TUF themed 360 I would have ;)
      As for the airflow, that's not the problem, the case stays cool enough, but AIOs like this just cannot easily get the heat out of a 300W CPU.

    That gold & black look looks better than all that pretentious & showy rainbow RGB. PC gamers & their RGB needs is so ridiculous. Something like that gold lighting is just right without being being to overdone.

    In this building instead of that power supply, I would rather use this one (ASUS TUF Gaming 1200W Gold) So I would wait until it released before I started building

    I was wondering how you managed to fit that TUF 4090 in the GT502. I tried to fit ROG STRIX 4080 and I was not able to fit it in since it's too tall and not able to go in since the expansion slot area in the case is pushed out and the edge lip of the case prevents the STRIX 4080 to fit in

    Are the vertical and the bottom argb fans reverse or not?

    In regards to this specific build. Can't you fit a 360 radiator on the side??
    Besides that, I don't particularly like this case because I'm tired of glass panels. But I'd really love to see more cases that relocate the power supply to give more breathing room to the GPU with bottom intake fans. What I dream of is a an ATX version of the NR200 with mesh panels. And maybe a more stylish front panel with a nice lower IAO.

      You can, but there wasn't a TUF 360mm AIO so I figured this made more sense to keep the theme :)
      (m)ATX NR200 sounds good imho!

      @@TechTesters If you're interested in testing a mATX case similar to the NR200 there's the SAMA IM01/Tecware Fusion (same case different branding). I'd like to see something more akin to the Cooler Master SL600M but ditching the glass panel for mesh one with a side bracket like the NR200.

    I have a 12700k and was thinking of upgrading to a 13700k but I only have a 240mm AIO so wasn't sure if it could handle it, good to know that gaming would definitely be fine at least!

      Just get a Arctic freezer 280/360 for 13700k. They are quite cheap, compared to other AIOs. Problem solved.

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For gaming it definitely won't be an issue. If you do CPU workloads constantly, I'd personally go 360 for a new build if you have the chance.

      I use a Noctua NH-D12L cooler on a 13900K with a 4090 gpu, no temp problems in MSFS2020 in vr.

      Little update, just installed my 13700k with my Arctic Liquid Freezer ii 240mm and running Cinebench R23 gets 30654 and temps peak at 93°C maximum on one of the cores, I plan to undervolt to reduce temps so this should work fine for all my needs! Gaming max is about 75°C

    Hope you where lucky with the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OC, notorious for being a screaming coil whiner this gen. I have gone through countless forums and the majority have severe coil whine. I had one myself that I RMA'ed and changed to Gigabyte 4090.
