    • @EnufIsTooMuch
      @EnufIsTooMuch 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bad idea. Robby Layton is surely top notch at auto body and paint but he's scary at offroad recovery. On the other hand, Matt's Off Road Recovery has a snow machine that matches that tracked trailer (painted yellow I mean). Matt Wetzel (he's rich) should offer Casey La Delle a profit, buy that trailer. Then MORR should team up with Tom-Tom and maybe too Rudy of Rudy Adventure And Design (RAD, also Matt's eldest son). Tom-Tom is a brilliant engineer, Rudy is an expert fabricator, they can add a motor to drive the tracked trailer. Finally, yes pull in Robby Layton to match up the paint jobs perfectly as he is the expert who painted MORR's Bombi. End result: A Snow Recovery Tracked Vehicle with Tracked Driven-Trailer for those jobs where trailering out the snow-trapped wreck is the only way! OR ... maybe not the only way ... but the most "Sketchy" (= entertaining on YT). Which will tickle the TH-cam Al-Gore-Rhythm like crazy.

    AT least your boards for your outriggers are heavy duty, thick boards. I used to work for a John Deere Ag dealership and one day we had an OTR driver come in with outriggers like yours. He was supposed to load a self-propelled sprayer, which was 120" wide at the narrowest wheel setting. Driver didn't have any heavy outrigger boards, so he went to the local lumberyard and bought four 8' 2x6s, which he planned to move as he loaded onto his trailer. We told him he needed more boards because a 2x6 laid flat is NOT strong enough to hold a sprayer. Our advice was ignored and he promptly ruined two brand new sprayer tires when the 2x6s broke as he was loading. Saving $40 cost him $4000.

    I have a similar problem up in Washington - it's buying Home Depot rental trailers that have been surplussed out of their rental fleet.
    I've bought at least 9 of them.
    It doesn't appear that the Oregon stores sell them off like Washington stores do.

      @@CaseyLaDelle I was kidding about the fire boat and theres not many of them, I only know of this one, I can see you are pretty darn good at what you do and I do know the boards are a pain and really mostly used with over sized rubber tire machinery. You have nice stuff and I was not criticizing you but thought maybe you would find hauling a 42' amphibious fire boat would be funny to you as well. Its even funnier driving it on land and water, 3 remote nozzles with a separate 6 cylinder diesel just for the pump.

    Cool trailer with tracks. Nice that you bought the equipment for the rollback so you won’t run into that issue again. Nothing like being on a job and not being able to get the job done cause you don’t have the tool. Glad you were able to improvise with he wood to get the shaft off. That event actually sounds like fun.
