You can still get the key from underneath the hood when it has a locking Hood all you have to do is lay down reach your arm up underneath the Hood from the bottom grab the cable and pull on it and it will release the hood so then you could open the hood and get into the air cleaner very very easy situation I have done it many a time how do you think they open the hood if the cable breaks
Since high school in the mid 1070's I learned to put a spare door key and toolbox key in my wallet. Can't really do that with a fleet of Cascade Heavy Rescue trucks.
Spare keys don't always solve the problem. As a kid (1960's) our dad had an old Cadillac with absolutely everything push-button electric. Including the hood and door locks. We boys loved playing with the buttons. Managed to run the battery down to the point where you couldn't unlock the car (exterior key worked a solenoid, not a mechanical linkage) or release the hood. The only way in was to get under it and run jumper cables to the frame and positive lead on the starter solenoid.

We boys loved playing with the buttons. Managed to run the battery down to the point where you couldn't unlock the car (exterior key worked a solenoid, not a mechanical linkage) or release the hood. The only way in was to get under it and run jumper cables to the frame and positive lead on the starter solenoid.
I feel your pain, we just got back to Wisconsin from Yellowstone with out a/c broken out there, in the upper 90s
Gotta have that A/C
Ive installed those REDARC systems, very cool. With the added distribution module as well,
Love your thinking of no A/C were shut down. Hopefully it's just a fuse.
Good to have options.
Hey Casey, I saw you while you were at Robbie's. I'm a big fan.
I'm a in-between follower/fan of Robby
Morning, Cascade Crew 😁
I like the way you stored your bunggies on the light bar definitely better than stretching them to the max while in stoarge.
Glad you made it home safely.
Wait, Casey said he used to race Monster Trucks! That’s a new one on me. I’d like to hear more about that one.
Same here had no idea!
Do the HRS. Of service apply if you are empty and you are going home. Not sure. Off duty might apply.
Since he is returning from a paid job yes. If he was moving his own stuff HOS wouldn't apply.
i'm thinking hrs are hrs. They don't want tired drivers driving Big heavy trucks on the road. if they fall asleep at the wheel , could make a Big mess & un alive a lot of people.
@@OffWalrusCargoand even if you are moving your own stuff, if you own the company and arent going to want to use those hours anyway, logging PC probably is not worth the potential arguments with DOT.
Yes they do
