For everyone commenting about a chainsaw…. Even if I had brought my saw with me, I would not have used it on this job. A chainsaw would have created MORE work, taken MORE time, and increased the risk factor. Trees do not simply disappear when they are cut. The pieces of that tree would still have to be winched out of the road, and I would just have more pieces to winch. My truck has the power to effortlessly move an entire tree far bigger than that one, so why turn one piece into multiple? A fallen tree spanning the road with a rootball hanging off the end over the bank is a risky thing to cut. So why take an unnecessary risk FAR from any help when it gains you absolutely no benefit?? The safest and fastest way to clear that road was to simply hook onto the tree and move the whole thing out of the way in one shot while we all stood well clear running a remote control. Yes, chainsaws cut trees, but that doesn’t mean they are always the most logical answer to a fallen tree Oh, and if you want 10% off your Yankum gear you can use this link and the code CHR! bit.ly/CHRyankum
You are absolutely right about the risk factor. 99.whatever percent of the time it's fine, but when it's not fine, do you really want to be in the middle of nowhere with a chainsaw-related injury?
Valid plan, yet one cut, losing the root ball's weight already over the available edge would be my only probable use, if needed, not many cuts. Missed opportunity to use a few more sponsor's products dangit..

Great to see the recovery season has started. If his DTU had manual valves you could have lifted his underlift to the folded position. The title to this video made me think like Rick Murphy's favorite saying, "It's about to get Western". Indeed, it did. I think you handled the situation the best way you knew how. Gee, after all you have had 14 months experience using the Zaklift and you know your limits and we have seen a few over limits, and you still got the job done. I think it was great that you showed another "wrecker" driver the difference of a Zaklift and the cheaper models. Doesn't Rick have one of those cheaper models? I have made a suggestion that he put a Zaklift on his "Ranch Truck". If he can afford buying used Rotators, he could afford a Zaklift.

This was an amazing comparison of the Zacklift compared to the other lift system. If the other company owner sees how versitile the Zacklift is maybe he will do the right thing and order one for his towing service. There are so many advantages that he can't help but make more money over time with the Zacklift. This was a very interesting recovery. I enjoy waatching what you do, and where you find yourself doing it.
So Wise , Thank You . A fine example the superiority of the Zack Lift . On the other hand the other hand the other one is probably good for what it is designed for . A fine example of Why Casey is equipped the way he is . As we all know it is imposible to be carry every thing that could be needed , there are Always weight , space ,and finatual considerations . I agree Tom showing up was a Good thing . To me the Important thing the mission got done with minimal damage and Every body got home Safely

Dang, dude; you had to have backed up at least one mile, maybe 2. I'll bet those rear tires didn't stray six inches out of the established tracks. Yeah, you never said you were good, however, this video proves you don't have to. GREAT VIDEO!
I had to back 5 miles with a 48 foot trailer when I ended up on a dead end road for a truck. Back before gps or cellphones..
@@Bryan-Hensley yeah we can tell it was ancient times if you were pulling a 48 foot
@snowblowerman5115 that was the biggest at the time.
@@Bryan-Hensley yeah I know crazy how far it’s come. I read something
A while ago that Walmart was gonna run bigger trailers than 54 feet. It may have been 60 footers obviously I know people double pull trailers but still one van trailer at 60 foot per se is pretty big. That and scary as Walmarts drivers skills are not very good most are part of the flip flop gang.
Awesome video, as always! Casey was the perfect teacher. Robert was the perfect student. Tom had perfect timing. Thanks much everybody! 💜
I carry a home made set of 30 foot jumper cables (1/0 awg ) with Anderson plug on one end and a 2 foot set with Anderson plug on one end of that . They can be joined to made one set for battery to battery connection. My truck has Anderson plugs front and rear that I can plug the jumper cables into, I have never had an issue with reaching a disabled vehicles battery. Great video Casey
The master at work - while teaching important lessons!
Oh, and I guessed why you choose the stump over the tree; to hear you stating that, later on, makes me só proud of myself ☺️😊.
6:44 HELLO MR. GEORGE😂😂😂😂
So many literal ups and downs in this vid. Exciting fun recovery UP a hill, for a big rig stuck half DOWN in a ditch. Viewers randomly showing up to get the rig powered UP, Casey and previously stranded trucker both getting DOWN the hill/mountain. Ending the video on a positive UPlifting triumph of everyone getting back on the road.
Great work Casey.
Robert don’t let this deter you. Sometimes silly crap happens.
Tom, you’re a good man for helping out like that.
Man Robert is like a light in a dark room. What an awesome dude!
Not everyday you rescue a fellow heavy lift truck that pulled a tree on to itself. Then you added for content he's from Arizona! ....and then Tom and his Willy's saves the day! Great video as always Casey!
Casey, you just blew this guy's mind. Your setup is the best I've ever seen. A lot of thought behind it. I'd bet you're gonna get a few calls from him for advice. And knowing the kind of person you are. You're gonna be a valuable friend. Merry Christmas to you and your family. God bless you all 🙏
Yay Tom! Casey has the best, most helpful viewers around.
Casey gives hope to humanity. With a smell of good attitude 😂 my #1 channel on TH-cam
Excellent pre-trip planning backing up to the emergency. At 73 years old backing up and me haven't been getting along in way to many years sadly. The cost of the auto chains totally worth the cost return in 24/7 safety benefits. Does your vehicle insurance give you a lower commerical rate for the auto chains. Passing on your life, work ,ect experience freely to others is respecting your mentors. Have a most wonderful day 🎉
Hello
Don't be tired. I thank you for creating content for your job, which is very difficult, and I am one of the supporters of your program and I follow your programs closely from Iran
Good luck
This recovery was awesome! Teamwork! Thank you to Tom, and Robert didn't die. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Tom has been elevated to the status of a first class fan of Casey. Thanks for coming to Roberts aid.
I think Roberts boss will learn a lot from subscribing to Casey's channel.
Remarkable display of driving skill to back up that far that fast and with one arm tied to the camera stick. Extraordinary driving talent and a shining spokesperson.
The algorithm needs this video titled Snowstorm heavy rescue saved by cologne and a jeep!
That's like a hour long advertisement for Zack lifts, love it great job Casey!
A pretty interesting recovery. You guys all work well together. A shout-out to Tom for his help if he's watching or reading this material. I even felt better that he was there.
Thank goodness Tom came along!
What an adventure, and a glorious ad for all that equipment you have! Zacklift, Western Star, Yankum, and can't forget the Jeep.
Casey, you are more MacGyver than I even thought! Versace for the win!
Casey is amazing. Backing up a big rig MILES up a narrow, snowy, mountain road. WOW. Very impressive.
Great way to spend an hour! And I am always learning more about physics from watching Casey. Not a subject I ever thought about before. Love that a Willys saved the day!!
Robert seems like a good person. Great positive energy Need more people like that in life.
38:50 "This would be the perfect time for someone out wheeling to come down this road"
43:30 "Oh, there's a Jeep, let's see if we can get a jumpstart"
Well, technically he came up the road, which took fractionally longer to sort out.
You forgot to bring a talkie-tooter for the logging part! Excellant tow work Casey.
Your patient explainations to the novice tow truck driver were very helpful to us, the viewers, as well as the noviice driver. Very helpful!
Best Versace Use Ever 😂 !
One of the Best Episodes !
Especially for those who already follow the Channel because, in the "Versace Case"😁,
That Exact Moment Was "On the Air" Long Before This Episode.
However, You Could Never Imagine That That "Piece of the Puzzle" Would Be Part of This Story !
Not to mention Tom and His Jeep Willys "Saving the Day" !
Just Awesome !
Casey, you’re the Best salesman. Effortlessly promoting the Whole Yankum product line.
This was a great video! I especially like starting the truck with perfume, which was quite a surprise to me. Casey is amazing and fun. Good Job.
THAT WAS ONE HECK OF OF AN ADVENTURE AND A CHANCE TO PROMOTE ZACK LIFT, YANKUM ROPES AND A MEET AND GREET.😊!
Awesome vid. I was worried that grey Jeep was Bruce Cook! Tom recognizing who you were was just as cool.
A year working with you mint round out his skill set to be a desent wrecker operator. So much to learn & it's never ending.
That was the most entertaining recovery I have watched you do:
✔️Two big problems to solve
✔️Out in the woods
✔️It's snowing!
✔️Tree Jenga!
✔️Good conversation with Robert, who is an upbeat nice guy despite the ordeal he went through
✔️A third man named Tom arrives and brings relief at the last moment!
✔️We learn about the third use case for Versace Eau de Cologne 🔥
✔️Happy End
Such a vibe, great atmosphere here!
Taking the time to explain why things are set up how they are, and tips and tricks was great to see. It was cool to see how excited and grateful he was to not only get unstuck, but seemed to be to help and learn some stuff.
You were really proud of your equipment.
Indeed I am
@@CaseyLaDelle
And you should be !
1 question, could you put pressure on his underreach with your and pull the level on his truck for the underreach to get it to move in/down/up like you have done on the backhoe ?
Or was you affraid something will broke then ?
@ possibly, but that unit SHOULD have holding valves on all cylinders that would prevent that. I’m not sure if miller actually does that though
@@CaseyLaDelle
Oki, i c.
Thx for the answer.! 🙂
(I learn more all the time ! 😊 )
Having working in the bush decades ago using a 230 Timberjack cable skidder to haul trees up in northeastern Ontario Canada where I live it was very interesting to see a tow truck being used as a skidder . Job well done Casey . I agree with your chainsaw opinion 100 %.
Too bad that doesn't roll the odometer back! Be back into the warranty soon! Its great to see you helping out a fellow tow operator! As for attaching to his truck there should be a bypass valve so you can push his lift in and or up to secure it for towing!
Think Robert was envious. He barely looked at his own truck. Couldn't take his eyes off the Western Star and Zacklift. Joking apart, he had a great attitude considering what he was going through. Glad the tree missed him and his truck.
I can see a Casey's School of Recovery in your future, so Lead Sales for Zack Lift
Awesome video today, learning on the ZackLift, fan appreciation and assistance and a shameless plug of Yankum ropes and equipment. And don’t forget the shameful plug to Versace. Loved the comment, half a millions dollars of towing equipment and the whole thing comes down to being saved by a 2017 Jeep Willy’s and a fan.
Merry Christmas! 🎄
I can binge these videos all day!
I do. LMAO
seeing Casey nerding out about the adapters on the Zacklift and almost forget he was on a recovery was awesome 😆
This guy tried SnowRunner in real life: Hook your winch to a tree but the tree just snaps to fool you :)
You can tell that Robert was amazed by your equipment, if he could he would have bought everything on the spot :)
You can tell he thought for hours to get out of there, waited over a day till help came. All just because GPS send him down there and he wasnt prepared for the snow...
Just amazing. Things just seem to fall in place for you. But experience and knowledge about your gear is essential. Glad you were able to help someone who was way outside his comfort zone.
That guy is going to go back to his boss and try to convince him to get a Zack lift.
Usually people forward track before they backtrack but not Casey. He always seems to solve any problem Murphy's Law hands him. Pretty good towing trainer and salesman. Haven't heard him say "I never said I was good at this" for a long time. Great people skills always helps too.
Wow I hate Casey LaDelle! You do a great job, Casey! And you are always happy to explain whatever is going on!
Right on! Gotta love it when a fan saves the day, thanks Tom! The Versace trick had me laughing!
And it probably smelled really good too!
the good- a client who can truly appreciate your gear. The not so good- a client who wants to be 'involved' 😀
That's some A+ reversing.
that was amazing, and amazing timing for tom to turn up.
So now we know what to get Casey for Christmas - a decent chainsaw & extra long jumper cabkes. 😂
I have a chainsaw, and even if I had it with me I wouldn’t have used it on this job
@CaseyLaDelle figured you did but just didn't think to bring it. My only real chainsaw experience is hurricane cleanup & we can't see everything you see, so you probably saw the pitfalls of that idea better.
You need to teach recovery. Between your mechanical knowledge and physics of recovery, you are a wealth of knowledge.
Great job working together and going for the sale!!! 😁 Look at you missing a great time to show off the power unit u always have to power a Battery charger!!! Casey being unprepared 😁 great job as always Sir, keep up the great work
Casey, I may have missed an episode or two over the years.
I think you need to have someone interview you, record/film the interview of your experiences to get where you are today. Your mechanical and engineering understanding is incredible.
Please gift us this opportunity.
Thank you.
I don't need a Zacklift, but it sure is nice. Great video and big thanks to everyone involved.
Man was clean shaven before he went out with his 'Heavy Equipment' !!!
He got a different accent he winched it that far 😂
The most expensive starting fluid on the planet. But it worked!
The versace "starting" fluid was great. When my mom's fuel pump went out i started her car and ran it enough to get out of the intersection spraying Axe body spray into the air intake
