Hello Silas. I’m looking for an older cj7 that’s in good condition. Please let me know. I live in Illinois I would travel to pickup. Keep me posted. Thanks.
Well Silas, belive it or not (and maybe I'm one of the few with this opinion): I enjoy it a lot when stuff leaves your yard. Even more than when new things come in. The new crusher is a cool, big and shiny new machine and I'm sure it is something special for you. But seeing you loading all the old cars and cabs in the last video: That actually made me happy. Because every old car and every iron box that leaves that gate means that you for yourself and your family can make a good living. And I believe that is what counts in the end. Plus, best case scenario, someone was happy, got a new project and saved an old vehicle (or at least parts for it). All the best for you from overseas, keep the good spirit up.
Silas, if you put a cover over the plastic see thru panel on the crusher, it will save it from yellowing from the sun. You just have to remember to cover it every day. You will be glad you did. John from Cape Cod
OH Congratulations! A NEW Crusher! Looks like you got yourself a super birthday present. I hope it serves you as long and faithfully as the old one. It's probably made in the USA, so as long as government interference hasn't screwed them up, you're good to go. Sorry but it just seems any time the government gets involved, things go south, and no not in a good way, just a saying. Take care, best always!
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratchFor fun why not add a laminated picture of your favorite cartoon character from your childhood to the crusher, example: Quick Draw McGraw aka El Kabong! Ha ha! Give it some personality. 🌿🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞
That def system will give you grief in the winter months...freezes at 12 F......expect some down time if its not maintained....😕....you may want to make a cover for the def tank.....😊
@adventuresmadefromscratch that mesh top roll cart would make a great drain table if you add a few sides and a bottom to it for fluid draining of engines and trans and such.
Good evening, just watching now. My Uncle Harry had one of those Allis Chalmers. His didn't have the blade on it. He used it for pulling cars onto the side to cut the frames off.
Hi Silas like the new crusher. I know you're often towing the trailer but when your not why don't you have a covver on the tow ball, I have one on mine here in the UK it keeps the weather and dirt from the grease if you don't fancy a plastic cover some people use a tennis ball with a hole just bigger than thr hitch. With all the materials you come across I'm sure you could come up with something suitable. 😊
just a small tip on palletizing parts. cut seatbelts out of scrap cars, screw them to pallet; buckle and we used vise grips on the belt (loose end) and hammered it tight. its cheap and hope it will work for you. like your good old cars and trucks.
You are right about the LCD display with the clear plastic door. You better make a shade to cover it from the sun or it will fade to the point you won't be able to read it. We had the same issue on our new air compressors. It cost 10k to have them both replaced.
Bro Silas when i wash my truck i put 1 cup of kerosene in the wash water(5 gal) and when i rinse it it has a awesome shine on it and no hand dry needed. might put a small bit of kerosene in a sprayer with water and spray the crusher with it. you will not be disappointed. i been doing it for years and no problems.
There ya go Silas, rewards for hard work, humble beginnings, and yet “ a new adventure.” Get those babies on the control panel. Prep for the future adventures.
I had a guy gave me a lot of his old trophies he had from when he was drag racing. I took the plack off from them and got some new ones made and gave them to the boys at our Pinewood Derby races. We had enough for 2 or 3 years. We had some nice trophies for the boys. Some of them was at least 2 foot tall. It cost a dollar or 2 for the placks and the boys was happy them. I should have said boys and girls. It was done at are with the Area church's and for boys and girls both. Glad you got a new Crusher to work with. You will make ewh memories with it and be able to chrush more than before. Stay safe, and God bless you. Dan 🇺🇸
You bought some Real Cool Stuff - love the Old Bull Dozer - Neat Piece indeed ! That Heavy Steel Racking may also come Handy ! Congrats on the New GREEN Crusher - can't wait to see it being Used and the Crushing Videos can Start again - looking forward to it ! Great Video - always so very Interesting ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
In my area most places call in a portable crusher rather than maintain one and let the crusher crew owner crush, load and transport once a hundred or more vehicles are ready to sell. If that opportunity knocks you already own the equipment.
My daughter's family had yard and it was always muddy we did the same as you but stone is expensive we got crushed sea shell's you should look in to it much cheaper and does same job we covered the whole yard that's what all the yards around my state use
Happy belated birthday Silas , you almost had me fooled there for a minute but I know you'd be getting ether a new crusher or maybe you decided to switch over to a bailer/logger machine . have fun with your new toy
Absolutely crazy that the video was 22 minutes long. It seems so short. So action packed though. I was good to get a glimpse into the business. Looking forward to seeing the new crusher in action. Congratulations on the purchase.
I had to look up Diamond T. That is one awesome looking truck. the first thing I thought of was to put a shelp on the inside and make it a little dining area......or not. 😅 I can hear the sudden intake of breath when guys read that, lol.
The blue rack with the addition of some pipe insulation that would make a great windshield rack if you get something in that's very old and special it'll be a very good place to store your windshield , Just a thought!!!
bulldozer will it start would be awesome, ha ha ha you could do it in your spare time so i know it won't happen congad's on the new crusher great video
new crusher pretty green I have never figured out why they put the rams on upside down, they have more pressure going up than down, can you explain that.
Man, that is a nice piece of equipment, Silas. Not what I was expecting tho. I was thinking you invested in a car shredder. Drop a car in one end and it spits out car popcorn. I can't believe the seller didn't fill the diesel tank after spending that kind of money. Thats a poor business practice. All the best! Cheers from Louisiana.
Stay tuned for the first crushing video coming soon!
Can't wait to see it in action
I knew you had to be getting a new crusher. NICE
GOD BLESS YOU
We actually see it crushing it's first carbody at the end of this video. Many thanks for taking the time to include that short clip. 😊👍👍

2500 psi like this, about 2600 psi with them flipped. There is also less stress on the machine this way
Man, that is a nice piece of equipment, Silas. Not what I was expecting tho. I was thinking you invested in a car shredder. Drop a car in one end and it spits out car popcorn.
