I absolutely love going to yard sales or estate sales to look for rare items for my collections and to add silver and gold into my reserves. I got some of my most valuable items from those type of sales.
I got an original German WW2 officer's ring from a garage sale. The family was selling off all their grandpa's stuff including his entire WW2 collection. I spent roughly $500 for his entire collection, the family didn't care about the history their grandfather was apart of they just wanted it gone. Best $500 purchase in the past 5 years.
Sad😢
Quite random to see a wrapper from the Norwegian Chocolate Kvikk Lunch. It's the goto chocolate bar for any Norwegian going on a hiking/skiing/forest trip :) I think the closest thing you have in the US is the KitKat, but there is a difference in taste in that one! :)
It'd be cool to see what the individual charms are valued at depending on how old they are they could be worth quite a bit above the silver cost - like the fork - awesome finds Klesh thank you very much for sharing
It’s because of you, I’ve started hitting garage sales. You wouldn’t believe what people get rid of for nothing.. 👍
That extension cord reminds me of a time I was at a sale and a box of 20 cords had $1.00 on it so I picked one up. The lady said you have to take them all.Okay 👍🏼 All 25 footers. Can’t go wrong there.♥️
Hey Klesh my Uncle took me to some Yard sales and Estate sales in Waco TX in 2014. He had been doing this since the late 50's till then and had a stall at a Flea Market in Waco. On one trip I drove him to some yard sales of Rich people and I tell you they were practically giving away good stuff! He got 6 silver spoons for a dollar apiece and turned around and got 60 dollars for all 6! He also had brand new Harley Shirts from all over the US for 5 dollars a shirt I got 5 and I got a Harley phone SITB for 10 dollars. Some of the rich don't care about what they've got, but most estate sales know exactly what they want for each item here in Phx it's hard to get a good deal on anything!
great finds, I'm liking that Uranium glass. I'll have to keep my eyes out for that. Thanks for taking us along, see you next time.
Love these videos! I collect old books, vintage glass, and old costume jewelry.. I am in LOVE with that fan charm you found! Keep up the great work and look forward to the next!
Love all videos you put out.
Your videos are always very interesting and your easy to listen to.
I squealed when he found the Tarzan books. Had them all
good scores.
come spring, i plan to be on my feet and beating the streets, sales, auctions, pawn shops and the flea
"That's a cotton wood burl it's probably the most expensive thing you have sitting here" thinks to self man I wish that was for sale 😂😂😂👌
Really a backhanded insult lol
12:50 Canada Centennial Penny; 1867 to 1967. I was born in 1967 ;) I have the full set, penny to Silver Dollar,. The Centennial coins can be worth a lot of money.
Nice score on that $1 bag! Thanks for all of the tips. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Take care brother.
Hey Klesh! Always a fun video from you. Great finds today. I was going to stop at one but it
was late and I thought all the good things would be gone. I'm sorry now I didn't stop anyway.
I love your yard sale videos. So awesome to see and wish for things. Enjoy your weekend!
Miss SHIRL!!!! You are ALL OVER THE PLACE ma'am, LOL!!!!!
@@flthunderdigginwrob3162 LOL! So are you! LOL! 😂😂
Out of all that jewelry, I want that mini folding fan charm in the costume pile most!!
Love yard sales..almost always something that's treasure in someway
That fork is beautiful! I picked up a sterling spoon a few months ago with the $.50 a piece flatware. Great scores.
I also collect gold and silver from yard sales and thrift stores. People often tell me "there's no silver in that" but they don't know what British quality marks look like, and would never think to look for quality marks on cufflinks or tie tacks.
You already made me go into treasure hunting since 2018/19!! Love each video ya make.
Awesome video Shane! That was fun. I learned over the years that rhodium plated silver can look fake (I found a ring detecting that the rhodium coating was coming off, so I thought it was fake) . They do that to make it more shiny. I think it looks worse when they do that. It gives it a cheap chrome look. But yeah, that fake Chinese silver is everywhere. lol. Crazy that you got that bag for a dollar. That was like an estate sale I was at last year. There were understaffed and pricing on the fly. I got a bag of coins for less than face value. Haha
I had no idea, i'll keep that in mind next time i see that. I hope all's good JD!
I like everything you called junk and the native turqoise necklace piece....and that fork is gorgeous hopefully I find one treasure hunting
Back in the 80's, I was a trash man. You wouldn't believe the stuff that people and even businesses throw out. REI- new fishing pole and canoe paddle; Apartments - pair of NIB Jenson coax car speakers; motorcycle shop- NIB small dirt bike motorcycle (we told the shop owner about this one)... Amazing stuff!
I pulled 7 laptops and 3 tablets from our local college and the apartment complex across the street in one night. Was a crazy night. And over half worked fine as is but were just a few years old. And I got my netbook, still fully charged, with nothing but a single picture on it, no damage or anything, from uscellular one night. Got a charging cart with 40 iPods, everything works no damage, from the same elementary school I got my 10ft smart board, needs some software and a part replaced, but i just use it as a white board mostly. And I'm in a super small town. People throw away crazy stuff.
@@alexismartin5257 What a haul! It's amazing for sure!
LOL!! Nowegian Chocolate stuff wrapper there! Kvikk Lunsj means Quick Lunch. ;-D Fun stuff otherwise as well. Love the little bag!
You never know what you might find. I found a chilmark fine pewter Indian statue for $12.00. Very detailed Indian warrior , statue and base both marked La Rocca. Found out it is worth close to$500.00. Dive the Ellissa!
Heck ya!
When you opened the treasure chest, I said "nuts." 7:02. Also, awesome score on that bag of goodies!
In my experience if its marked sterling and is magnetic its worth testing with acid. I've found that its usually still silver it just has a magnetic plating
Because it says PAT. 1895 does not mean it was made in 1895 that is the Patient date and not the manufacturing date. As the spoon says .925/1000 at the base. This is an indication it's much more modern. Also, wearable jewelry has much more value than scrap, you could likely sell those for $20 a charm. Great scores!
Hi Mud! You're so full of knowledge I had forgotten that about you. Hope all is well
with you. I so enjoyed seeing your name here, my friend. Blessings! 🤗🤗
@@ShirlBussman Nice to hear from you, hope you're OK? I have a lot of knowledge but it's more of a curse than a blessing. People tend to get offended and upset when you give info. That's not my intention to upset people but to share what I've learned. Klesh and I go back a way, I admire his content and him as a person. He's a great dude and I'm doing OK, thank you! 🤗😃
@@MUDSWAT I love Klesh and I too have been following him for years.
Your knowledge has always impressed me. If they know you at all they would
learn to appreciate it ! I'm doing well, thanks. 🤗🤗
@@ShirlBussman Thank you that means more than you know! 😧🥺🙂
@@MUDSWAT You are one of the special people here on YT. 🤗🤗
FYI, rub your silver on your test stone and check with 18k acid. You will be amazed. The silver floats looking like shiney foil.
I would love to buy that little circular eye charm off of you. I am obsessed with all things eyes and it really called to me.
Awesome man! Nothing better than a good treasure hunt!
As a norwegian its funny that in the bag with the coins and jewlery, you also found some old wrapping paper for a norwegian chocolate. :D
That uranium leaf dish is very cool!
Just wanted you to know, I subscribed today. I always enjoy your content! Your new friend and fan, Kevin from Chicago.
I live for those bags. I watched the gem video first, it was sad. I went to a sale a couple of weeks ago, the lady just wanted to close and not have to move anything, so everything was free. I got a whole new wardrobe of designer clothes, 2 fabulous leather coats, a pair of designer leather boots, a distiller :0 I've been turning my wine into brandy :) so much more, it was crazy ♥
Kvikk lunsj is almost the same as kitkat (bare mye bedre😸) . Mini hand fan and sledgehammer; so cute.. can I buy them together with my next order? 💙🤘
Just found your channel yesterday! Love your videos
Glad you like them!
Mudswat and I miss your coinroll hunts. My garage sales are drying up, not many happening anymore, lake season. Looks like you found an old Pandora-esk charm bracelet. All their charms today are sterling.
Howdy mr klesh, great video! Looking forward to many more like this
More to come!
Amazing video like always, most interesting channel on youtube.. keep making videos like this bro, we dont have these yard sales here in Europe (as far as i know) soo for us its very interesting to see what people are selling especially this old antique stuff 😀
Hey Klesh, this was a fun video. I love to see what people find at estate and yard sales!!
8:57
OMG THAT'S THE SAME SET I GREW UP WITH. I'VE ONLY EVER SEEN IT ONE OTHER PLACE. (and I have definitely kept an eye of for it bc I like the size and shape of it, but my mom won't part with hers)
Cleaned up they are worth about $3-$5 a piece. It's a nice set. Dates back to the 40's if I remember correctly
Nice!!! I like going through bags of random stuff. It is so much fun! You really hit the jackpot!!! Thanks for the amazing video! I also like going through Paydirt from you!
Your videos are so varied but all have great content. I always learn something from you. Peace Out.
some really cool finds. Enjoying all your videos just stumbled across your channel and glad I did. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Extensions cords nice... knew an old guy from restaurant i worked at. Left me some extension cords and fishing stuff in his Will.
Badass shirt , I seen ORIGIN live in Roseburg oregon 10 or 15 years ago they were supposed to Plat a fairly large venue and due to construction they ended up playing a very small grange it was the most epic show of all ! Keep up the killer content I look forward to your videos weekly!!
Great haul Shane! Glad to see you are feeling better!
Nice. Its always good to know what to look for. The other day i got change back at the market, and just by the sound, im like that sounds like silver. It was a 1961 quarter. 👍
Would love to do this in Scotland! Nice vid Shane👍🏻 Thanks for sharing⛏🏴
Hello my friend 🤠🇩🇪.
@@Ltn.Immelmann Hello Peter how are you?
@@ScottishGoldHunter Thanks mate, all good. I hope you do too.
The dried up rivers give new chances for gold prospecting lol 🤠👍🇩🇪🔨
@@Ltn.Immelmann I am good thanks. That’s is good. Hopefully you will find some nice gold👍🏻 I can’t wait to get back out and find some shiny⛏🏴
@@ScottishGoldHunter Summer is almost over lol. Do it 🤠👍🇩🇪🔨🍻
Hey, just a heads up for future reference. A lot of times charms are plated with a different metallic magnetic metal. They advertise it, so it doesn’t tarnish like normal silver, but they are typically still sterling silver. Just something to look into.
Thanks for that info I had no idea will keep an eye out next time!
@@Klesh you’re welcome! And just remembered the name of the metal, it’s rhodium
@@raiderc4532 oh yeah, I know about rhodium plating. I got my girlfriend a rhodium plated silver bracelet for Christmas and she is allergic to silver.
Lol, the plastic wrapping that was inside the bag with all the stones and rings is a KVIKK LUNCH wrapper, a Norwegian version of KitKat, that's just so incredibly random, jeeeez!^^
Nice video Klesh, Cheers!
Always a good time yard selling nice scores buddy. Glad your feeling better it takes a while to go through the Charlie victor 19. And I still say it lingers be aafe
Lol you were in my neck of Colorado
Awesome finds! I used to do the same thing here in SE Alabama. If you know what to look for, the finds can be enriching (pun intended)! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
sometimes we find 14k gold bangles and pay $1 because the markings are very small.
I'm always amazed at what people sell.
Times aren't getting any better. So life is 🤠👍🇩🇪🔨
All the analysis say silver is going to skyrocket 👍👍
@Klesh I have a question when you were using the flashlight why do you use a flashlight I go to the garage sales as well and I would love to know how come where were the glasses and the bowl different was it more better than that champagne glasses the green ones can you please let me know how come you use the flashlights thank you thank you for your awesome videos
Uranium glass glows green as you saw in the video he was using an ultraviolet flashlight like you use to see pet stains or scorpions in the dark
@@48thstateprospecting Interesting I was wondering too about that glass.
hey from Australia .great content
Those holographic eye pendants usually sell for a bit, very cool
awesome yard sale finds Shane :)
Love your vids and you are 100percent right collecting gold and silver and coin are very addictive and I'm very interested in learning about other collectible such as glass and other things keep up the good work my friend and congrats
Love when you go yard saling😄!
Nice haul man 👍❤️💛💚
Really enjoyed the video. I’ve started collecting coins and old currencies just because they’re old and cool. Keep up the good work (:
Awesome finds Klesh! I enjoy going to garage sales and looking for treasures also. I have no been as fortunate as you yet though.
It's a process weeding out a full day's work but I do find some good stuff! Hard work pays off!
You scored BIG with that dollar bag of stuff! Plus, you could sell the "junk" for a dollar and make your money back on it! 😄
The candy wrap, in the bag. is from the most popular Norwegian chocolate. Similar to KitKat.
Sweet finds! I need to get out there and have a look around too
Love the videos you have inspired me and my wife to start treasure hunting ♥️
Good evening Shane, I used to hunt for silver items at thrift stores but now they are searching the items before they put them out. It makes it hard to find oddities that are worth money now that they do that, but in the beginning it was fun collected a lot of silver items. I have been just boxing it up for a while now. I need to check eBay or weigh them up to calculate how much silver I have collected. Happy hunting until the video. Stay strong.
Some thrift stores do pick through and take the silver and other valuable items out. However it all depends on the store and depends how knowledgeable the people removing these items are. I still find silver and other valuable items quite often at many thrift stores in my area
Awesome🤘👍
14:25 it`s a norwegian candy bar... the norwegian kit-kat!
and also a norwegian 1kr coin
It’s not just uranium glass. It’s a green leaf😉 perfect🥳 second hand sales rock🔨👊 addictive
Keep up the good videos
I used to love going to yard sales haven't been in a few yrs this made me want to go again lol I also use to hv some yard sales and to me when you hv one you want the stuff gone so price it cheap cheap cheap but most think they are opening a retail store lol and price things to high lol
Thanks Shane very informative.
Great score man!🍻
Stupid question.
Why is friday yard sale day? In Rhode Island people work during theweek and Saturday and Sunday people do yard sales. 😊
Love your videos brother
I'm not sure why people start on Friday. But they do. Estate sales usually start on Thursday which is even stranger
The Kvikk Lunsj (Quick lunch) is definitely from Norway and not Sweden. Also, a common misunderstanding is that Sweden got the pretty girls, but that is also Norway my friend. Come visit! -and you wont mix up the countries again ;) You got a Norwegian coin there as well, so someone went to Norway it seems.
Norway 🇳🇴 is on the top of my bucket list 🔥
same been picking up sterling james avery pieces for $1 and they resell for $100-$150 because they are the retired vintage versions. the markings are so small the seller usually cant or are to lazy to read it.
I see you use the silver solution to test. Try 18k solution to test your silver. Thanks for another great yard sale video. It will show up as blue instead of trying to figure out what shade of red it turned.
I’ll try it thanks 👍
Check the jewelry for uranium glass. I believe it’s the Czech that are making the modern stuff, but you’ll find those as well as vintage uranium glass stones in some jewelry. That one looked suspect as being one.
Collecting silver is very addictive! Just got some 1oz Perth mint kangaroos to bring me up to 975 ounces, all Perth mint, aiming to top it off at 1000 ounces by the end of the year 😀
Im sitting here at the beach in southwest Florida, watching you yard sale in Colorado. Shits wild lmao
The ring with the green gem stone may be peridot. The banded polished stone is Tigers Eye.
i was in an antique shop in Maryborough Queensland, and they had a few old James Bond books there that had over $1k AU on the price tags.......Books can be worth looking into
Man that was awesome finds! Great video man! Wow i need to start stopping at yard sales. My son found a silver necklace and come to find out it was silver. 3.62oz chain. I cant get that lucky lol
Dude! That bronze coin with the flying bird on it is worth bank!
Awesome I had no idea
Is the a dolfin on the top middel coin with the "gold" around the Edge??
Do tell me why you covered the surface soil and lot of mile 9 with dirt from another location this summer?
Huh? I Haven't been prospecting in over a year must've been someone else you're thinking of
14:26 Norwegian. Launched in Norway 1937 by Freia which is owned by Mondelēz International today. _NOTE: If it's been Swedish it would have been spelled "Kvick Lunch"._
How much did you buy the fork for?
A dollar? I think?
@@Klesh WOW!
Great job bro and great video 🤜💥🤛
Man I love that bass pendant. Is it for sale by chance?
Not for sale - I hoard eall my treasures like a dragon sorry! Sometimes I do list ebay auctions, but way too many fake accounts and scammers making fake bids to do that anymore.
@@Klesh all good man!! I don't blame you I just had to ask. Appreciate the videos man..look forward to watching many more
That whas realy an jackpott Great run 🙂
I LOVE the vintage fan and hologram eye disk. Will you sell them to me? 😊
Wow what an awesome scorer
Let’s be real here. That alien charm is actually the biggest win of the day 💚👽
👽⛏👍
Thanks. Very interesting video.
Freja’s Kvikklunsj is a Norwegian chocolate cake people take on Sunday hikes.
