So let's see. Joe has been caddying for over 30 years without incident. Patrick has been getting heckled all day about an unsubstanciated story from Sky sports and still manages to make a fourty footer. Then Rory gets angry because he feels a caddie is too close to him. Rather than let the celebration subside he takes immediate offense to LaCavas error and Lowery jumps in as well. You have to question was it the caddie or was he just upset because he just got beat and knew it. I guess what gets me is him going off on Bones probably one of 6:26 the nicer people you'd ever run into. So whats my conclusion? I don't really have one because I don't know what was said. I can say after the LIV golf comments about his competitors then this dust up. He's likely not the person I thought I knew and liked. Others here in the US are feeling the same. A great golfer though. Congratulations to Europe on a wonderful victory! You played great!
Joe could have waved his hat and celebrated in another area on the green. But here we are talking about a fking caddy!!!! I'm no Rory fan but he's right on this one.
Now Rory is going off on the disgraceful US behavior through the Ryder cup. Really? Like the parking lot where he's cussing out a confused Bones in the parking lot? I've now seen Lowry using the F word at someone for being too noisy prior to his pitch in front of children. Let me ask it that not disgraceful in Europe?
No, you can't imagine Palmer, Nicklaus, or Player's caddie doing any of this. Remember, social media was not around back then - a lot happened that we will never know about!!!
3:40 That was completely stilly for Rory to say. It's not like Joe yelled or enticed a crowd reaction in the middle of his back stroke. Rory had all the time in the world after his little tiff with Joe to calm down, get a read, make a good stroke and sink the putt. He's just too emotional about the Ryder Cup, whereas Cantlay is non-confrontational. Look at how much grief he took about the slow play at the Masters but never really fired back at Brooks or anyone else. He probably wanted no part of the drama that took place on the 18th green. And Joe is a grown man and Cantlay didn't need to pull him by the leash and drag him off the green.
Cantlay didn’t wear a hat because his head was too big. The stupidity and arrogance of actually saying that to the public speaks volumes about Cantlay disdain for the source of his inflated income and his pursuit of lining his pockets at the expense of the event. LaCava acted like a brat and had no business even being on the green. It takes a lot to get McIroys irish up. Pretty clear it was personal. Cantlay may have won the match but he and his obnoxious looper resent Rory and his success. Like a lot of lesser players.
This comment is to the folks here in the comment, who are fans and none golfers, who can't understand why all of us golfers thinks what happend on the 18th green was totaly over the line and unacceptable. Please guys Keep in mind that Joe was not even a player. When I took up golf 30 years ago, I ofcourse was a member, and me and my friend, was introduced/shown to be correct in the rules of playing golf and the etiquette by some of the experienced members, before we was allowed to play the long 18 hole course. I was very impressed by the etiquette. A sport where you are expected to give your oponent the best possibilety to perform with no interference what so ever, in respect to how dificult the game of golf is, (I had done all kind of sports and this etiquette thing was totaly new to me). And let me tell your this, if a player was showing the kind of behavour that LaCalf did, even in a small local summer tournament, the commitee of the tournament who are the judge/referee, was aware of such incident, they would immediately ban the player with the bad Joe attitude , so the player wouldn't be able/allowed to participate i furture events in the club for a periode, depended on the incedent. None less!! This was not speciel for that club, this was how the hole golf society in Denmark understood the etiquette by R&A. Hope Your get the point, even my english is not correct in gramma . Let you play be great even if the score is not . Peace to all
So, you're basically saying it's okay for Europeans to celebrate, but not Americans. All Joe did was celebrate his golfer's putt. 15-20 seconds and it would have been over. Rory immediately, and I mean the instant Cantlay's ball fell in the cup, walked through the celebration to his ball. During any of the European celebrations, even Lowry running around on the fairway, did any American player show disgust, complain and create a scene?
Rory knew the crowd was getting on Cantlay about the false report that he didn't wear a cap due to not being paid. To Rory's credit he asked the crowd to settle down. Now, Joe Lavaca should not have been in Rory's line of sight but to make this into such an issue is absurd. Who has the thin skin? Rory. I remember Rory making a scene on the green when he made that 40ft putt in front of Patrick Reed. Did the US press get on him for his antics? No. Patrick Reed putted and they laughed..... Not here....Rory has to play the victim and scream obscenities at Joe Lacava in the car park and then play the victim of the "ugly Americans". I call BS.
I call BS on your comment. Rory turned to the crowd when he made that putt, same as the Americans do when they make a big putt to win. And the simple fact is that Joe should not have been anywhere near Rory as Patrick had made his putt, and Joe should have been off the green. Caddies keep their mouth shut and should be basically invisible to the opposing players. And Rory apologised to Bones, yet no apology from Joe.
@@BatMan-oe2gh "And the simple fact is that Joe should not have been anywhere near Rory as Patrick had made his putt" Um, no. The actual fact is Joe was celebrating immediately after Cantlay made his putt. Rory should have stood aside until it calmed down. Might have only took 15-20 seconds and this incident wouldn't have occurred.
Cantley is lying,he has a smirk on his face walking past Rory and la cava. It was deliberate. Also Lowey and Rose had words with him greenside about the incident. Caddies job is to give info to his player, carry clubs and tend flags move aside then till players are finished. End of
The truth of this situation is that caddies need to ALWAYS remember that this is about the players and ONLY about the players. These caddies that think this show is somehow about them are equivalent to umpires that think people came to the ballpark to see them work that day.
Couldn’t disagree more, listen to any pro about how important a caddie is and that they are a team. They are ALL representing USA/Europe player or caddie. The amount of work caddies put in to yardages, wind, elevation, pins, greens, etc it’s very much caddie and player as a unit. How many players out there won with just a guy carrying the bag? Listen to JT or Spieth with their caddies literally arguing about shots but it’s all in trying to win and working together as a unit.
YES, the player and caddie work together for THEIR side. But making yourself part of the show when you are a caddie................yeah, not part of your gig. The fans are there to see the players plain and simple. @@mattschanne9696
First.. The whole hat thing was started by a European journalist that lied and made up the whole thing. Secondly….. If Rory makes that putt nothing is ever said about it again. Plus… Rory walked to Joe Lacava. Europeans acting like Joe ran up and waved it in his face. 😂what a joke. Rory is an even bigger joke then I thought.
I don't think you've seen the video. Joe walked to Rory. You can see in the background that the US team had stopped waving the hat but Joe keeps doing it while walking towards Rory. th-cam.com/video/OjxkUc69KEw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=W_rGI_dKf04vuVTX
Golf is a mental game especially putting. What Lacava did is uncalled for. He was intentionally trying to mess with Rory's head. A caddy as no call to be acting like this and he needs to be disaplined for it. On the bright side Joe will make a great Republican congressman.
I think Back9 opinion should be taken with a grain of salt due to bias. Expected as a European. Heckling is okay in thr Ryder Cup as long as its the US on the receiving end. NY will be 10X worse. Hopefully Europe wont get into fights or leave the the course with bodyguards shielding them from harassment from the “fans”
I've been a huge Rory fan all along. That said, taking it out on Bones? Really? Then saying that he would throw down in the parking lot? Really? First, he should've gone directly to a Koepka or the like. Not to a legendary, couldn't-be-nicer older caddy. Second, he'd get destroyed by anyone with basic fighting skills. Third, he tells LaCava he should have thick skin and goes about staying furious for days about a hat wave. Paper-thin skin. How is no one calling him out for this last one? Great performance from Europe, but very disappointing from Rory.
As an American I can just say that the Ryder Cup means way way more to Europe than America. I think even the American golfers on the team hope to win but have the “we’ll get em next time” approach. Most fans are more into college (American) football and NFL this time of year and don’t get too worried about it. I think the NY fans attending the next one though will be salivating at the chance to do what they live for and that is talk major sh!t and cause as much havoc as possible in two years. As an Astros fan I’ve seen it in Yankee stadium enough to know lol.
Golfers and other sportspeople who play in non team sports naturally find it difficult to play as part of a team, for Americans this is compounded by the fact that American society (capitalism) places more emphasis on individuals and money above all. This is why the American golfers don't give as much as the Europeans (which tend to be more socialist in principle) as they are primarily all in it for themselves and why American golfers expect to be paid for the privilege of representing their own country.
If you asked Team America whether they'd prefer a green jacket, or the Ryder Cup, what do you suppose would be the overwhelming answer? Now, ask the members of Team Europe the same question.
@@RobertStanley-g8m I'm pretty sure Europe players select the green jacket also. But as said above the rydercup means more to europeans than USA. That is a fact.
Oh, with all the crap that goes on in the world. This is news because someone’s feelings got hurt these millionaires don’t even live in the real world, but this is new you should do a poll. On who really gives a crap about this.
He is a great player, but his outburst in the carpark makes him a bit of an ass, have your say in a press conference, but to lose your cool in the carpark with someone that had nothing to do with it shows a lack of class, and his comments on Liv players in the past proves it. Be the better man, that is what I was taught.
That time of the month for R.M. Any pro and even all the ams. Should not blame any one for a missed shot/put just restart when ready to do your best...play the game.
Seriously.. I don't intend this to be mean spirited.. I have a friend who's ears kind of stick out like Cantlay's and he complaings about hats too. Just saying.
He didn't wear a cap at Whistling Straits either maybe he has to get hat special made. I doubt very seriously if you know. So don't call people a liar if you don't know.
This topic is literally the gayest shit ever. Are we really talking about LaCava waving a hat a little too close to Rory? Oh know, how do we ever get over this egregious act?
Europe showed what a cohesive team can accomplish and riling them up just made them fight harder, I couldn’t be prouder of how the lads conducted themselves and played 👍.
LaCava was totally in the wrong. He was out there waving his hat like he was a player. What's the old saying for the caddies? Show up, keep up and shut up!!!
What about the many times the US players had to wait for their shots due to Europeans celebrating the first four sessions???? would it have killed RM to take 30 seconds and let Joe step aside
@@BatMan-oe2gh you are right like provoking Rory Not a McIlroy fan but in your face celebration not at all I reflection of what used to be classy game?
Also Hoe was 20ft from Rory’s ball on a 90degree angle. Not close to Rory’s ball. Rory should have let the celebration die down and then start his process. Starting your routine in the middle of the celebration and then crying about it is disingenuous.
The crowds have been increasing in fervor and venom for several Ryder Cups. Using a loss on the road to fire up your team and fans isn't new for sports. The brow beating and discourse earlier at The Open for Harman should have been an indication of things to come for the American team. The confrontation helped ratings for the event as attention for a lop sided victory would have been less if not for the hope of violence. That being said, was there a real threat? Yelling and shaking at two older men isn't a real sign of that. If Rory wanted to get to the locker room to throw some hand, what US team member or caddy could stop his efforts? Not Bones or Joe for sure. He wanted to be loud, his response was over the top. He used it to focus himself and his team. It worked for him and they won by a landslide. Congratulations. Now I'm sure some groaning in the US team will occur just as with European team in 2021 and they will try to sell that to build a fervor of their own. This story is old and these guys will once again be pals as most of them return home to the United States to get ready for the PGAT 2024.
The Americans seemed 'off' from the get-go. With the nonsense of not getting paid for it... and then Joe the caddie, it just added to it all. Total lack of respect and course etiquette. Such behaviour should be investigated by the PGA and fines issued to the player of the caddie if found to be inappropriate.
We get a lot of Real Housewives stuff from Rory and this case is not different but at least this week we were reminded why we put up with this guys drama. That pitch he had with the crazy spin…wow. Cantlay is a classy guy. Video shows he is clearly seeing Lacava and Rory but I can also understand that a guy whom has gone through a lot in life like Cantlay may not have been deterred by the almost nothing issue between Lacava and Rory. I mean cmon think about the millions of issues that happen every week In football or futbol, or any sport. And guys just move on like nothing happened. And here with Rory we are making a big deal over: you are standing a little too close waving a hat while I Prepare to hit a putt? Really? Lacava has been a classy guy as well but is getting into that age where men become so charming. And yea he was trying some old school dirty tactics to help give Americans the tiniest of hope the next day. And honestly it kinda worked. But mainly because Rory let it get to him. So yea there was gamesmanship there. But honestly it’s to be expected. Seve would have done almost anything like what Lacava did to get back in the game, especially knowing if someone gets his feathers rifled easily. The strongest athletes mentally know how to not make that an issue because they know admitting it is an issue is what actually gives the competitor an edge. Rory said he was as angry as he has been or whatever…as if…we literally have seen this guy get over-excited or too angry about literally everything too many times. This is why I’m A big Cantlay fan. The guy has thousands trying to ruffle his feathers to no avail, And in the end it’s his opponent who got ruffled by one man’s simple hat wave. Yes Rorys team won and he played great. But Patty Ice showed what a Boss he is. --- And yes I do agree with players getting PAID. They get paid in the presidents cup This event isn’t some tiny little party Between the golf establishments, it’s a billion dollar event mostly thanks to having the best Euros and Americans playing. This Ryder cup imo felt the impact of the players whom could not be there. Having all the top pros is critical to this event. And pros get paid. Eventually a group of pros will say we need to get paid. The organizations can milk some free play from the boys a little longer, but it seems something’s gonna have to give sooner or later.
Well said ....Rory's a whiney ass cry baby who only used Joe as his excuse to Cantlay making 3 birds inna row to come back and whoop his whiney ass! side note .... Bones or LaCava would likely stomp Rorys cry baby little ass with 1 hand tied behind their back, so yeah good thing Shane held him back! Shane saved him from further disgracing himself!
Banter is part of making the Ryder cup great to watch. But the Americans (Joe) took it too far… period. Some of them went further on Sunday by not wearing hats in support of Cantlay - fair enough but then they baited the crowd by “doffing” their hats every time they made a putt or won a point (JT in particular). No class …
I lost interest in watching the Ryder Cup when fans were calling miss it, miss it to a young first timer Matt Fitzpatrick. Up till then the RC had always been a sporting event wether won or lost ,especially when the US was so dominant and I from England.
Alex Elliot, you don't know what you are talking about in this incident. Joe LaCava was nowhere near Rory's line. Study the video again. Rory went out of his way to stir things up as he was walked towards the other side of the hole to study the line of his putt. He stopped and got in Joe's face, rather than simply walking on. It appears that Rory, though a great athlete and fantastic golfer, is fragile emotionally. Impressive win for Europe!
Why don't you use your platform to discuss the rumor that was a flat out lie from the reporter/media that started the whole hat thing to begin with? All you are talking about is the aftermath, not the cause.
I must be watching the wrong video. Was Joe waving the cap while Rory was actually preparing or putting? Nope. Was he standing too close while Rory was preparing or putting? Nope, even you admit Rory had to ask Joe to move BEFORE he went into reading/putting routine. In every other sport players brace up against each other, stare each other down, talk trash, etc., but back away when the opponent is ready to shoot a free throw, serve, return or in this case, putt. If Rory wants to claim he was ready to get into putting mode -- while the US contingent was screaming and cap waving and watching Cantley strutt around -- and that Joe delayed him from preparing to putt, ok, I'm a Rory-fan, I'll take his word for it. But you guys are saying he interfered with his prep and putt, that's not what happened.
yes you might have been seeing the wrong video. Rory waited 36 seconds (I timed it) between Patrick holing his putt and Rory asking LaCava to move. LaCava was still waving his hat when other US team members had stopped waving. th-cam.com/video/OjxkUc69KEw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=FairwaysofLifewithMattAdamsGolfShow
Rory has to be the most entitled cry baby out there. Complains about everything that happens. Rory and team Europe did plenty of celebrating when USA still had putts and we didn’t hear USA complaining. Rory cries all the time he can kick rocks.
Rory got pissed because Cantlay hit three birdies in a row on 16, 17 and 18 to take the win away from him. Celebrations were happening all over the course when Europe hit great shots. He couldn't wait 10-15 seconds for the USA team to celebrate a great comeback in his match before reading his putt? Rory should be embarassed for throwing a temper tantrum because he lost that match.
The simple fact is that Joe should not have been anywhere near Rory as Patrick had made his putt, and Joe should have been off the green. Caddies keep their mouth shut and should be basically invisible to the opposing players. If Joe stayed away, none of this would have happened.
@johnmulle152 Rory waited 36 seconds (I timed it) between Patrick holing his putt and Rory asking LaCava to move. LaCava still waving his hat (when other US team members had stopped waving) and being right next to Rory's line is not a simple celebration. It's done with intent.
@@popupgolf Rory and Fitzpatrick were on the green the instant Cantlay's ball went in the hole. They could have waited for the celebration to settle down. Watch your video again. Joe had put his cap back on, but seeing the US team still waving theirs, he started walking towards them and waved his hat again. It wasn't until Rory said something to Joe that things went south. It took 8 seconds from Joe waving and walking towards Team USA to Rory saying something. He didn't wait 36 seconds. I think if Rory had said "Excuse me" to Joe, he would have peacefully walked away.
@@2coolhipdude Wow you're commenting 2 months later? Between Patrick holing his putt and Rory asking LaCava to move was 36 seconds. It took two videos/camera angles to see that. Time it yourself. You also admit that Joe started to wave again (unnecessary) and towards Rory's line (unnecessary).
@@popupgolf "Wow you're commenting 2 months later?" Yep. Just finished watching the Ryder Cup on my DVR. The rest is just your opinion. What's unnecessary to you might not be to someone who had nothing to cheer about for 2 days. It goes back to 1999 and Team Europe said Team USA's celebration after Justin's putt was disrespectful.
Alex-I get it that Rory is your guy, but bad behavior is BAD regardless of who the offender may be. There’s unfortunate actions taken on both sides and Rory did nothing to help the situation. I’m glad he apologized to Bones, but he should have been man enough to do it in person after berating him publicly. Bad form and you should say so.
Cap or no Cap,apparently for some young talented hard working great golfer’s forget about the tradition and history of the Ryder Cup. Apparently they aren’t earning enough money!Perhaps a few more should have gone to LIV.
I strongly disagree. He acts like a spoiled punk. Little shill for the PGA during the LIV controversy...now over reacts during the usual rowdy Ryder Cup atmosphere. In another sport... someone would smack the brat.
please explain how Joe LaCava disrespected the whole Euro team? It was a dustup between two people. Rory overreacted imo. Euros better be ready for the carnage coming at Bethpage. Rory will have a coronary. Lol
@wulbit7643 please...he has lived in the United States for years. All I am saying is the NY fans will be brutal and I am sure will go over the line. Golfers are not used to being heckled and it is very difficult for both sides to play on foreign soil. Rory should have just made it between him and LaCava. He overreacted to LaCavas antics.
I don't know about the whole Euro team, but it was with out a doubt a disrespect to Rory. Rory waited 36 seconds (I timed it) between Patrick holing his putt and Rory asking LaCava to move. The Ryder Cup is a fantastic way to build ones brand, you think Poultar would have multiple Ferrari's if not for Ryder Cup. He turned Pro as a 5 Handicap.
Poulter handicap was 4. You can't turn pro of 5. His handicap was only so high because he couldn't afford a full membership at the club so had to pay full green fees to play in each competition. His handicap was 4 but his playing ability was more like +4
He’s a caddie , he should be seen and not heard.. where was the Referee or whoever runs the show, to tell the caddie it’s nothing to do with you, it’s about the players, let them putt.if this goes unpunished caddies can distract players when putting anytime to put people off and benefit his own player.Ridiculous!,
I don’t think Rory is in the right to have a go at bones. He had nothing to do with it other than his nationality. If nationality was the reason for having a go then Rory shout have been shouting at his own wife.
Cantlay can lie almost as well as Reed. The caddie had no place on the green at all. His boss has putted out. Joey just wanted a little attention, acting like a jackass while McIroy was trying to concentrate on an important put. The video says it all. Unfortunately, Lowry didn’t slap the taste out of the caddies mouth!
If the LIV/PGA debacle didn’t illustrate the lack of team cohesiveness, nothing did. Rory’s a great player but, in this case he responded like, well like a w…….r. He’s not alone. Players on both continents continue to forget, it’s golf, and it should be played with decorum. The rowdy fans, on the other hand, are simply idiots. A sign of the times, perhaps.
So its ok to get angry at someone who wasnt on the green about how you played in the past ? Thats mis directed not once but twice. I dont think either side behaved right.
The incident would have died out, if the caddie (LaCava) would’ve minded, his own business, and stuck to what he’s paid to do, which is holding Cantlay’s balls.
For Rory to say that this is the most upset he has been in a long time is a clear indication that he hasn’t had to face a lot of adversity in his life. Lashing out in a parking that long after the fact and being held back by a teammate looks immature at best, or at worst alcohol fueled. Show some control.
*EFFF Rory from now on as an American!!! Gets way to much in his head himself and never will win the Grand Slam on American Turf! BTW who advises you on CLICKBAIT TITLES AS ALWAYS*

Cantlay should have had better control of Joe Dirtbag and Cantlay should have apologized to Rory. But, as they say, he who has the last laugh, laughs best!
Cantlay doesn't own Joe, it's not a slave/owner situation. We have no idea what was actually said unless there's a recording somewhere. It's about who you believe, who has the better reputation over the last 20or 30 years.
Congrats to Team Europe. Alex IMHO, this is not a good look for you. Stick to helping hackers get better on your other channel. We don't give a shite about your opinions. Especially the LIV vs PGA debacle. I am subscribed to the other channel but I won't subscribe to this one because of your continued distaste for Free Interprise.
This whole incident bodes poorly for the future of the Ryder and the "gentleman's game" in general - the pga and r/a embraced division over unity when the whole LIV matter began and I believe that was a reflection of the current social and political spectrum. Sport is one of the few opportunities to bring people together over their differences, I see this as a missed opportunity.
Although he is a great player, way to enamoured with Rory. He showed his true colors over the LIV thing. The caddy should be suspended for acting like a douche. Rory is lucky they held him back because that caddie would have kicked the sh** out of him. The PGA got it's ass kicked for being such a loser organization. Predicted Zack was going to screw things up and as I said on another comment didn't build a team. Way too many distractions. Completely different playing for Europe than for America. At least it was. Unlikely this is going to change when played in Europe. The next American coach needs to get them focused, ignore the outside bs and play with heart. Didn't see that.
Without the rowdy fans and this kind of drama who would watch golf anyways. Brooksy! It is almost as bad as watching soccer. You know European football. 😉
I can’t believe how such a honorable game, golf, has descended into a poor reflection of society. I have loved this game for over 60 years, but with LIV and behavior displayed at the Ryder Cup, I’m done. Will continue to play, but have no interest in attending tournaments or watching on TV. If gentlemen re-enter the game rather than these immature prima donnas, maybe I’ll reconsider. I don’t understand how anyone gives Rory a pass on his behavior. If that was your son, would you be proud of his behavior or counsel him on a better way to reach a resolution?
Keopke standing up for his team if Rory had went in? Two things: 1) can’t see that guy standing up for anyone except himself 2) even if he did it wouldn’t have mattered as Lowry would have been in the door on Rory’s shoulder
A nothing burger. The Ryder Cup has bigger issues, this event was boring no drama and basically unwatchable. Since I live in the states the morning sessions were done before I woke up and we are stuck watching a listless overmatched American team. Also keep in mind the US on Saturday has college football and Sunday has pro football. Viewership is way down for Ryder Cup, why do you think the Fed Ex cup happens before football season, it would get crushed. Sponsorships is going to start drying up and networks are not going to pay top dollar for this type of product. The Ryder cup need to figure out a time slot that there is no major sporting events going on if it wants to survive and locations that are not 8-10-12 hours ahead of US viewing population. My hats off to Europe fielded the best team. .Zach Johnson will go down as the worst Captain in Ryder Cup history. As he likes to say I follow the Data. Yeah Zach your the worst.

LaCava acted like a brat and had no business even being on the green. It takes a lot to get McIroys irish up. Pretty clear it was personal. Cantlay may have won the match but he and his obnoxious looper resent Rory and his success. Like a lot of lesser players.
Me personally,I don’t think the all the best players from the US were there in the beginning. JT was there and had a bad year.(just saying).
Agreed there were a few that were questionable.
Peace to all
As someone who's played over 50 yrs I don't think it was over the line. My opinion is just as valid.
Good god, let it go already. Talk about the matches instead of making a major production on caddies behavior. 🙄
So basically we will never know exactly what was said! Great win Europe let’s move on.
Exactly, who cares.
Agreed, emotions were high and some things happened ;) Its all done and nobody got hurt, blah blah blah.
No shortage of D's in golf. Industry, players, etc. It shows eventually unless you blindly believe sports media. Tiger is a perfect example.
Caddie was wrong to do what he did, but Rory overreacted and actually created more controversy because of his reaction.
Just leave it at "Caddie was wrong". Period
Caddie was wrong. Period
I call BS.
It was poor Bones who unexpectedly was the recipient of Rory's tirade in the lot.
@@BatMan-oe2gh Well said!
@@AmeliaGonzalez-Lopez Thank you. Cheers
@@BatMan-oe2gh "And the simple fact is that Joe should not have been anywhere near Rory as Patrick had made his putt" Um, no. The actual fact is Joe was celebrating immediately after Cantlay made his putt. Rory should have stood aside until it calmed down. Cantley is lying,he has a smirk on his face walking past Rory and la cava. It was deliberate. Also Lowey and Rose had words with him greenside about the incident. Caddies job is to give info to his player, carry clubs and tend flags move aside then till players are finished. End of
Well said.
The man who wants money and won't wear a hat, utter tripe.......
Who does Joe Lacava think he is? Stevie Williams?????
I've been a huge Rory fan all along. That said, taking it out on Bones? Really? Then saying that he would throw down in the parking lot? Really? First, he should've gone directly to a Koepka or the like. Not to a legendary, couldn't-be-nicer older caddy. Second, he'd get destroyed by anyone with basic fighting skills. Third, he tells LaCava he should have thick skin and goes about staying furious for days about a hat wave. Paper-thin skin. How is no one calling him out for this last one? Great performance from Europe, but very disappointing from Rory.
Nonsense, this was pathetic gamesmanship by Bones. Old man losing his powers.
Agreed. Rory was a sore loser and blamed on the caddie. Rory should take on Brooke who will probably beat the crap out of Rory. 😂😂
@@igloo687 What did Bones do?
@@igloo687what a loser. Bones did nothing and Rory again proved what a pathetic person he is.
Bones or LaCava would likely stomp Rorys cry baby little ass with 1 hand tied behind their back
As an American I can just say that the Ryder Cup means way way more to Europe than America.
Only when you lose. Different story when US wins though right.

It's the 16th at Phoenix. You're obviously not a golfer.
Look at the video again … caddie was no where near Rory’s line … further Rory was only angry after he missed the put … triggered baby

And yes I do agree with players getting PAID. They get paid in the presidents cup
This event isn’t some tiny little party Between the golf establishments, it’s a billion dollar event mostly thanks to having the best Euros and Americans playing.

No class …
Once a player has putted out that players caddie should leave the green and allow the remaining player to putt out without any distractions
Vying for the head of USGA?
Rory has to be the most entitled cry baby out there. Complains about everything that happens. Rory and team Europe did plenty of celebrating when USA still had putts and we didn’t hear USA complaining. Rory cries all the time he can kick rocks.
Who started the question about Cantlay not wearing a hat? That is where it started and caused the bad feelings
I think Roy was being a bum

Tiger woods personality has rubbed off onto Joey lacava
Not sure it's a whirlwind.
Men & competitive games are not GAMES. Now take that same energy & direct it to the harmful affects of the EU. Stuff that counts.

So, when Tiger chipped in on 16 at the Masters, and his caddy jumped up and down on the green and hugged Tiger, that was wrong?
@@2coolhipdude
Tiger's caddie did neither, don't you realise this was easy to check?
