And OMG that graphic novel collection for Lucio Fulci's Zombie seems amazing!
It took you a little while but you are getting the appeal of VS. This is an example of why I and so may others get mad at James Cameron and his AI bs lazy way of treating such revered films when you know if the team at VS was given the opportunity it would have been absolute gorgeous presentation and like how so many remember seeing it.
I bought this one on a whim and honestly kinda regretted it until seeing your review! Glad to know it’s one that is actually worth it.
no way is the howling 2 better then 1, however 1 doesn't have sybil danning and she was awesome 😂 personally i prefer the first howling over American werewolf in London there both good werewolf movies though. just bought the scream factory version for dirt cheap literally right before they announced the 4k so i cant justify the double dip right now
I dug this one but playing that same song over and over was a little much lol. The original Howling is my favorite werewolf movie. Great transfer and one of my favorite slipcovers.
Maybe I need to move this up in my rotation from my September VS haul... 😂
I misremembered The Howling as a child (realized when I finally saw it again as an adult), but remembered nothing at all about Howling 2... 😂
Apparently, Sybil did not know they were gonna loop the scene with her top being torn off for the end credits and was not happy about it. I know more than a few guys who said that was their first scene they ever saw like that so they were very happy young men.
I can imagine not being happy about that. 😂
@@midlevelmedia same here. It makes me wonder if they just put it in there because they didn’t want to just have a blank screen of credits rolling or they knew their audience? I’ve heard a theory it was to ensure an R rating but don’t know how reliable that rumor is.
To me Howling 2 has the same relationship to the original that Highlander 2, Texas chainsaw 2 and exorcist 2 have to their original films. way bigger, over the top, and drastic lore changes
The Howling sequels are just so silly though. I’m good with just owning the original.

This is one of my favorite B-movies. Is it bad? Definitely yes. But its amazing despite that badness.
I tried to watch it on tubi and couldn’t finish it. As long as you enjoyed it that’s all that matters.

Love The Howling but I haven't seen The Howling 2. Seems like a bloody good time! And that actress, Sybil Danning, looks great judging from those images you shared, so I think I'll buy that 4K. Thanks for the review.

Vinegar Syndrome needs to do Howling 4. I only like the first 4 films. The rest are garbage. But Howling 2 is fun movie. Maybe not the best horror film but damn it’s fun. I’m glad Vinager Syndrome did a 4k.
I am very picky with movies and I love the original Howling and I love american werewolf in london, but this movie Howling 2 I freaking love no matter how goofy it gets in some parts lol.
They used to always play It on regular tv, when I was about 10 years old in 1990, so I came across it at a good fun age watching it with friends amd relatives and at that age and environment it wasn't bad to me. And stirba is one of the most beautiful villians in History. I brought this movie up to my girlfriend thinking she was going to make fun of me, but she liked it as well growing up. And even though christopher lee wasn't happy, he was in this movie, he was the the most bad ass part of it.
Demon Wind is a fun movie, it's not good but it is fun.
Always heard the rumors of how bad this is and how Christoper Lee did Gremlins 2 as an apology and while I didn’t like it that much it was fun just weird, especially with how the first movie was. If I had to compare it to another movie I’d say it’s like Curse of Michael Myers, mainly cause of the out of nowhere cult stuff in this haha
Yet ironically Gremlins 2 is just batshit as Howling II
Christopher Lee was envisioned
by Daniel Farrands to play Dr. Wynn in *"H/>LLOWEEN 6",* but Dimension had other ideas and went with Mitchell Ryan instead.
The original is best to my opinion
Howling II > Howling IV > Howling III > The Howling
I'm not saying The Howling isn't great, I just love the B-movie vibe of Parts 2-4.

I’ll say this it’s hard to beat vs. the movies are sometimes crappy (or a lot of the time 😂) however they make it feel so premium I don’t feel jipped lol

Disagree with you here, the first Howling is my favorite werewolf movie with Dog Soldiers second. I didn’t really like American Werewolf in London.
Bad boys 1995 is better than deep impact don’t you think most agree tea Leoni gave a better performance and had better directing, better acting and better script.

Why don’t you think Michael bay can make an intelligent film that doesn’t assault senses and is stupid like they said to Armageddon. After all do those who think deep impact is intelligent and having human touch criticise Armageddon as insulting to intelligence I know one or two who do but they can’t say that about every Michael bay film. Arent Michael bay’s best movies better and more acclaimed deep impact especially if they have a more visually appealing imagery and look
The first Howling movie is overrated, while Howling II, as incredibly flawed as it is, is an underrated film. Howling 1 fans tend to shit on 2, but it has some cool elements (the new wave feel & soundtrack combined with an old Europe setting), the gravitas of Christopher Lee, Marsha Hunt & Sybil Danning were cool, and the overall storyline is interesting....But the film's poorly executed, has horrid fight choreography, and the two main leads are horrible actors.
The packaging and all the extras make this one of the most highly polished dog turds in the history of physical media.
Howling 2 was not that good. Just a one and done watch & difficulty not worth upgrading to 4k at viniger syndrome price tag
I was born in 64 and I am a fan of Christopher Lee, but this movie is horrible, and I watched this when it first came out. Watched it again a few years ago and barely got through it. My opinion is that it's a bad movie with bad acting other than Lee's performance. Too many like this because of Danning nudity.
I think there are too many other wolf movies that are better.
Including teen wolf 2?

The original Howling was too grainy for me...
Plus, the CGI WAS SO FAKE LOOKING...
So I passed on the rest of the series...
The original didn't have CGI dumbass.
FYI filmic does not mean grain, please stop miss using the word.
Film grain is apart the actual film, which is used for film photography and filmic means resembling characteristics of movies or film photography. BOOM!
