I remember watching this live at the time. This is a bloody B-SIde, Jesus Christ. The greatest band of my generation, I don't care what anyone says. I guess you had to be there, but the mid-90s, what a time to be a teenager.

Without his brother constructing that image, they would have been just like any other band. You have to give Liam that.. So when you hear stories of Liam making or progressing that image, just be a little less harsh. Noel wrote some great songs, but Liam's presentation is what sticks in the minds from this gig... This was, apart from the word, their introduction. And THEY BOTH nailed it.

I don't think the drumming's ever sounded better than on Definitely Maybe. That's probably more to do with how it's mixed than Tony's playing but still, NME's review of the album sums it up nicely I reckon: "...and those fervent, ruthless drums. The butt of many a joke, sure, but deny the brutal effectiveness of one Tony McCarroll at your peril."

    Hacía falta:
I don't know what it is that makes me feel alive
I don't know how to wake the things that sleep inside
I only want to see the light that shines behind your eyes
I hope that I can say the things I wish I'd said
To sing my soul to sleep and take me back to bed
You want to be alone when we could be alive instead
    Because we need each other
    We believe in one another
I know we're going to uncover
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    Because we need each other
    We believe in one another
(and) in know we're going to uncover
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    What's sleepin' in our soul
There are many things that I would like to know
And there are many places that I wish to go
But everything's depending on the way the wind may blow
I don't know what it is that makes me feel alive
I don't know how to wake the things that sleep inside
I only want to see the light that shines behind your eyes
    Because we need each other
    We believe in one another
I know we're going to uncover
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    Because we need each other
    We believe in one another
(and) in know we're going to uncover
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    What's sleepin' in our soul
    'cause we believe

funny watching this after watching lock the box when noel says liam never sings the "i hope that i can say the things i wish i said, to sing my soul to sleep and take me back to bed" line, and when watching this i realised he actually never sings it haha

I'm glad they'll soon bw back, but what happened in 90s will remain in 90's, they'll never reach the ethos they were all about then.
And I even weren't there to witness, but it's a fact. Probably still going to see 'em.
