Good old Tony. Great to see him on this. No drummer other than Zac Starkey had such an audible presence on the tracks.
Alan white>>
All the songs played here by Oasis are B-Sides!
all good songs
@@NhatLinhNguyen82 All amazing songs, (It's Good) To Be Free is one of the best Oasis songs of all time (In my opinion)
Well done
Thanks Sherlock
Never? 😂😂
Tony’s Drumming is just top notch here. A bit of roughness suits the songs perfectly
Totally agree with you. Tbh prefer Tony over Alan White doing the same shitty shuffle on different BPM for three albums straight.
Tony is more punk, but Whites style probably worked really well in studio as the layers of guitar dubs multiplied with each album session xD
Yeah Alan White with endless ghost notes. Boring AF
I doubt if they would have breakout without Tony, his drumming on Supersonic is what makes that song stand out.
Alan could bring Noel’s mounds of yak-fueled guitar noodling back down to Earth and make it sound middling. Tony could make their early driving rock songs sound like they simply had to be reckoned with as he forcibly pounded patterns neither too dense nor too deep; it was simply exactly what was needed to make them larger than live.
The White Room was brilliant man, what a time that was.
4 of Britpop's finest songs in just over 15 minutes, all performed to perfection, live on the same show. Wow. :)
I was on the show. Very memorable but have to say Oasis took several attempts to get it right :D
and they’re all b sides
that's it
@@tonykingsmill2310 your DA’s a baker.
@@Joel_Robinson_277changingman isn't
Remember watching this live on a Friday night CH4 as 16 year old, looked forward to it all week in school, and recorded it on video tape and played it over and over again. The White Room was a great show!!
Remember staying up to watch this back in the day oasis were such a special band as a 16 year old I wanted to play guitar like Noel and sing like Liam 25 years still trying lol
How's it going?!
Noel and Paul are perfect duo!
Acquiesce: 00:02
Good to be free: 03:42
Talk tonight: 7:19
Changing man (Paul Weller) 11:40
Would love to hear a version of talk tonight solely by Paul Weller. His backing vocals are ridiculously good in this!
Mate that’s the first thing I thought when I watched that. Voice like velvet, but not enough of it. More Weller!! 😇
we are all Weller fans but yeah he's good in this and really elevates the song !
Tony's drums sounded amazing and powerful here.
Aye! Great snare drum sound in this
I thought the same.....
In fact this gig is his last appearance
@@user-gq1jb9bu1cthis gig is not his last appearance
good to be free is the best rock nroll song I've ever heard in my life. That song was meant to be sang by Liam Gallagher.
What's crazy is that it's just as good acoustically, even though it's very different in that format.
Original Oasis at it's finest form 🤩😍😚
Oasis were hilarious
even on shows and tv appearances they were even playing their songs not even chosen to be A side 's on their albums
Godlike!
Liam must be standing there thinking, " fuck, i must have left the stove on"
Good To Be Free - Liam sounds perfect. Amazing.
Great band. I think they will do ok, maybe a couple of top ten hits.
Probably the lamest attempt at humor I've seen on TH-cam. And thats saying something..
perfection - all four tracks. Talk Tonight is so moving. Paul and Noel work so well together on this one. thanks for the upload.
One if there best songs so understated b-sides are the best 🤟
Liam voice back then was perfect!
absolute historic recordings
I can remember having the cassette tape of this. Think it came with the Q Mag
Me too. Definitely Q mag. Might still have it somewhere fingers crossed 🤞
That's right man, "songs from the white room" if I remember right?
@@brazenlilhussy5975 Yea that's it 👍😎
Wow Noel and Paul Weller 😍
Pleased I grew up to all these classic songs 😊

Remember this the first time round..... where the #++;k them years gone.any youngsters watching this, grab life,it goes by like a flash....
Noel Gallagher is an amazing musician.
I'm not so sure I understand the pledge of allegiance song. Seems like it's saying you let me down or I let you down or some shit. Hell I dont know
yes he is . he is helping me a lot with my album. i am 27. thanks for your comment
Not an amazing guitarist but a good songwriter
@@hy7968 he's an amazing everything.
@@hy7968 i dont think he has to be any better a guitarist than he already is ..theres no point in comparing his guitar skills to the likes of joe bonamassa
Oh those days! I would have killed to e in that audience back then. In fact, if they did the same performance now I would consider it!
Love oasis but wish things ended better for Tony. He deserved for it to have. In the unlikely chance of a reunion, this is the line up I'd like to see.
Tony deserved better
@@oasislover3409 absolutely, he was treated unfairly and humiliated when they buried him with his drum stix, talk about being kicked while you're down
Tony’s drumming during Acquiesce is amazing
Oasis' future drummer Alan White, his brother is drumming for Paul in the clip Steve White. And for good note Steve Cradock later of Ocean Colour Scene is on guitar for Paul as well in the clip. The small Mod world!! Great music!!!
tony was always the best drummer for Oasis, he just needed a few lessons to evolve, It was a shitty thing they did to him, met him once in a pub in Wythenshawe, you could tell he was still gutted by it, he was talking about his new band and how was still doing music, I'm a musician myself and I've been fucked over a few times by bands and managers, I really felt for the guy, my little brother, who is friends with tony, was like "this is our kid Jason, he's a singer and a guitar player, you should get him in your band " I never entertained the idea even for one second, we are about the same age, my time to be a rock star was 20 years ago, I did wish him all the best luck in the world though. good night , he was a nice guy.

What a time to be alive
When Weller comes on, the grown ups have arrived to remind us how its done properly.
Paul ripped a great guitar 🎸 solo on that epiphone classic
All four brilliant tracks
THIS IS AWESOME
such a raw sound! amazed!
Amazing. I wore my VHS out on this. Put a bit of tippex on it so I knew which one it was lol. Also, that solo by Weller, he owned the 90s for me.
Sittin' on my own
Chewin' on a bone
A thousand million
Miles from home when
Something hit me
Somewhere right between the eyes
Sleepin' on a plane
You know you can't complain
You took your last chance
Once again I
Landed, stranded
Hardly even knew your name
I wanna talk tonight
Until the mornin' light
'Bout how you saved my life
You and me see how we are
You and me see how we are
All your dreams are made
Of Strawberry lemonade
And you make sure I
Eat today you
Take me walking
To where you played
When you were young
I'll never say that I
Won't ever make you cry
And this I'll say I
Don't know why I
Know I'm leavin'
But I'll be back another day
I wanna talk tonight
Until the mornin' light
'Bout how you saved my life
(You saved my life)
I wanna talk tonight
(I wanna talk tonight)
'Bout how you saved my life
(I wanna talk tonight)
'Bout how you saved my life
(I wanna talk tonight)
'Bout how you saved my life
(I wanna talk tonight)
'Bout how you saved my life
I wanna talk tonight
I wanna talk tonight

👍🏼...Perfect Tunes...Thanks Oasis Team !
british rock and roll!! Yes!
Good to be free is so good.band sound so much better live.legends.best band ever🇬🇧🙏🏻💙
Yep, I was in front of the telly for this.... taped it too along with all the other amazing stuff that was on back in the good ol' days.... then our kid taped over it whilst pissed. 😂
oh...liam's face is like an angel.... and noel' is same
二人とも可愛くてしゃーない
So innocent right
Man a loved the 90's. 👍
The B sides were often better than the A. I had my own version off the Masterplan album longer before it was even conceived.
Love rock and roll, never seen this I've got em ph
Love Tony!
Incredible that they are all b sides
Doesn't get much awesome than that
The greatest
This era reminds me of being about 10 years old and playing sega megadrive
This paticular version at this place and with paul makes me fly
Só me dei conta que não era playback na terceira faixa (talk tonight). Excelente performance dos irmãos Gallagher!
Weller on another level to oasis..
Yeah, on a level far below them at this point in his career
Weller all over this make Oasis look like amatures.
From Stone Roses n Happy Mondays , Madchester, then these, fair play mancland
Brilliant
Brotherly love
jeez i need to see the next weeks episode as well! flippin epic line up!
Liam looks so cute 😭💕
They are just a little bit over a young garage school band here .. and it’s lovely
had it on a tape early 95
Haha, so did my brother. My older sister was a big oasis fan and taped it, my brother was born in ‘91 and his first record was some might say when he was 4! Unbelievable that someone so young would be brought up with such fine music taste!
Só música boa
It must have been horrific for Tony just in 1995 just before he was kicked out of the band to endure the cold wind inside the band towards him
Liams voice man, fucking top notch, and Guigsy up in the mix, and Tony on the drums punk as fuck!! With Bonehead with all his downstroke rhythm playing.
This is oasis at their peak forget Knebworth I remember the white room shit! They all look and sound as best they’ll ever get, then Weller!! Fuck me! Xxxx
Aguante estos tipos
Thanks. Such a bounty...x
I feel like the drummers got worse during Oasis. Tony’s playing just seems to fit the songs so well on DM, Alan was good but the others just sound muddy/old and boring....not taking anything away from their talent as musicians they just don’t feel very Oasis.
Liam’s voice is sounding great in these first 2 too.
Agree. All their songs sounded like the same song after 2000.
Alan was a beast. His brother too when he filled in on the US tour.
I think Tony was most suitable drummer for Oasis followed by Chris Sharrock. Tonys style was simple but songs rocked really hard when he was playing them. After they got rid of Tony they lost their balls quite a bit from live performances.
@@Ketis1985 yeah I agree, they lost a competent drummer who fitted with the raw sound, never liked alan whites fill or skippy beats on every tune, it's like he struggled to keep it simple, prefer Tonys drumming every time
For reals dude!
Tony McCarroll was fantastic here.
Go Oasis ✊
Class x
Noel & Liam: y'all need each other 🙏
I’m an oasis fanatic, but Paul fucking Weller! 😎
Flawless.
good god, YES...OYASis
Paul Weller was definitely Brit-pop he had a massive album out in 1994\5.
Guigs’ bass is Loud! Love it
Craddock has been with weller for years. And Steve White on drums before Alan joined oasis.
Cradock is a mainstay, played an important part in Weller's solo journey. Very talented musician.
Steve White had been drumming with Weller in the Style Council since 1983/4!
Tony best drumer of oasis very punky
Not according to Noel??
I love how drunk Noel is here haha
All of them geeked out 🤣🤣
Geeked out? Lol. Nah, this ain’t Weezer.
All Oasis members pale into insignificance against the Modfather
I see noel loving that les Paul and the glint in his and his brothers eye they were both riding til the ill fated 1997 release. But didn't we have a nice time......
yes is good, is good to be free
Guigsy’s base really makes Acquiesce the great song it is.
5 days before Tony played his last gig with Oasis. check out who's on drums for the last song "Changing Man.....
Love it. Nice one Darren.
I honestly will never understand why Liam never sings the second verse on Acquiesce.
Noel said that liam wasn't able to hit the high notes so he did it instead
But in glastonbury 95 Liam sing all song
its the contrast in voices what makes it so good for me
@@abelmariluzalcantara4571 no he didn’t mate
Contrary to all the other responses to your original comment (who clearly didn't read it properly) Liam claimed in the interview for the Wembley gigs in 2000 that he doesn't remember the words for the 2nd verse so just repeats the first verse. Obviously the CHORUS is sung by Noel due to the high notes
Glory days
11:39 The Changingman
I remember reading a glowing review of an American Oasis gig from part of the WTSMG? tour, and it said that Guigsy "made Bill Wyman look like an acrobat." Hehe. I always thought that was pretty funny. But yeah, otherwise, Oasis got a pretty good review out of it, so ..
tony sounds mint here , tight as fuck
Tony still on drums ?
These 'b-sides' weren't b-sides at the time they were new songs, that's why they played them.
Bonehead is one bloody good guitarist! Also knows not how to talk shit! Coming from one guitarist to another, onya Boney!
I'm a guitarist too, he's just playing easy barre chords here for the main. It's what the songs require, nothing wrong with it. but it's not possible to watch this and tell if he's good or not.
@@swirlingfudge as a rhythm guitarist he is flawless
And that can be just as important as lead
@@darrenbrown8877 Check Out Liam's Band before and after Bonehead started playing with Them! Now they Sound Quality! A Proper Rhythm Guitarist! Cheers 🍻
Guigsy bass is on point.
You can actually hear it clearly in acquiesce which makes a change
