He probably just figured fuck it and started the tempo as he would eventually build into it which caught Noel off guard. I can understand why Noel would be pissed off especially as the lead guitarist having to adjust his tempo to whatever Tony decided, but I think Tony had the right idea that Oasis should be played fast. I unironically prefer this live version to the album version of Supersonic as it doesn’t drag too much. Giving Noel total reign over the tempo was what led to Stand By Me and All Around The World going on forever.
This sounds great the drums are spot on bone heads guitar sounds great noels parts were fantastic and liams vocals were amazing, i love how Liam just stands still through the solo oasis were untouchable back then

I was 21 and hitchhiked to seattle from vancouver bc to see this. Had about $20 to my name. I was picked up by an engineer student who took me there and back. He also was sharing a room at hostle international (which he let me stay at). I also met some cool people who took me for beers after the show. Being young and around so many generous kind people in that time gave me such a great memory. I carried on that same kind and selfless mentality till today and for sure it’s got me where I am. I’m a lucky man :-) Side note from that show : Massive attack didn’t get to open but was still an amazing show.
