Love Chris and Marienne's channel too. I did my epic Canada Alaska camper trip alone in 2017 after my wife died. It was her dream to go on an epic RV trip and so unfair that she didn't make it. However, when I see the way you and Treadthe globe have such fun, I even hear my Ulrike's voice as I travel around. There is indeed something mystic about adventure and a way of finding higher truths through self discovery? Getting itchy to ship my RV over again.....
Welcome to my special part of the planet where I was born, raised, worked, and live. I have traveled the world several times from Beijing to New York to Moscow to Nairobi and most points in between. I have never found an area more beautiful to live than my home here in the mountains of BC. Wishing you all the best on your travels.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I feel like I'm actually hanging out with you on this trip. Looking forward to your next video and catching up on what I've missed! It's such a privilege to see bears in their natural habitat. During the spring of 2020, I had the privilege of viewing a mama black bear and her two cubs almost daily in our backyard in Panorama, BC. I always watched from inside so as not to disturb them. For me, that is one of the things I am thankful for Covid for, there weren't really any people around so the bears just got to hang out and be bears without being run off by humans. Enjoy your trip.
I understand what you mean about being lonely on your trip. I was so lonely during my solo 5.5-month trip this year that I cried often. I wished I had a “partner in crime” to share it with! This reminds me of driving in the Jackson, WY/Yellowstone area - when you see anyone pulled over, you pull over too because there’s bear or moose or elk, etc. Seeing the mama bears being so protective of their baby cubs brings a tear to my eye.

The grizzly and cubs was such an epic wildlife encounter.... bears in general are so cool. That chilli dish looked so delicious. Thanks for sharing guys! 😊
One of my favourite and slighty surreal feeling encounters with wildlife was in Cowichan River Privincial Park. I worked out there for some years. Late one night I was driving along the road that runs beside the river, in a very low truck we had. I saw a couple of elk coming out of the bush, so turned out my lights and switched off the truck to watch them cross in the moonlight. It turned out to be one of the big herds, and a whole bunch more wandered out for a few minutes surrounding the entire truck. They are a lot bigger than they appear when you look down at them from a raised roads. For a couple of minutes, sitting in the moonlight I was just surrounded by a forest of their legs.
You two are so funny and refreshing. I'll definitely be following your travels. I loved how emotional Kim got after seeing the grizzlies. Safe travels!

Great you are planning such a cool adventure!Do you mean 6 months? 6 weeks seems awfully short. We didn't have any problems in the many months we spent in Mexico and haven't really heard anyone else having issues we met (ofc there are news reports of things happening, but it seems very rare compared to the number of people traveling). There are some states up north which have issues, but if you stick to the main roads and get the most recent intel on Facebook groups about which are the recommended routes, you should be good. Baja was our favorite part of Mexico for van life. So much great beaches and places to park up without crowds.

@@CannedNirvana you can still make it happen in the future! About the timing you mentioned... I just googled it and the shortest route from Prudhoe Bay to Ushuaia would require about 30 days of driving 8 hours a day, no detours. So 6 weeks is really, really fast. I don't even think it's possible if you have to ship from Panama to Colombia as well, as that alone easily takes a week. Hi guys, just seen you on Tread the Globes YR channel, and it was said you are travelling to Argentina. So question is, how are you dealing with the Darian Gap. I've watched Itchy Boots, take her Motorbike round if using small boats, but with your vehicle, how ya doing it ? Good luck with whatever the solution 👍
Hi John! Welcome to our channel, so glad you came over from Tread The Globe 🤗 we will be shipping our van across the Darien gap on a container ship. It is the only way for a vehicle this size. Costs an arm and a leg but it will be worth it to have our house with us 😉
The southernmost point in the American Continent is Cape Horn, Chile, and the southernmost town in the world is Puerto Williams, in Chile, south of Ushuaia, and the southernmost village in the world is Puerto Toro, also in Navarino Island, Chile.
We keep it registered in Belgium. I don't think you can import a European van into the US/Canada as the vehicle standards are different (safety, emissions, etc.). There is an exception for old timers (older than 25 y or so).
@@NaickKim i was going to ask the same question. Bcuz you didn’t 😢included on the list for all countries. So sad. But hope you guys make the time. I know you have been there before and really enjoy your videos when visited El Salvador. Good luck on your trip and have a safe travel time.
I’m from Mexico City and go every year and even locals refuse to drive on highways at night. Try to find a convoy of people to drive with to make it safer
Thanks for your concern Gerardo. We won't be driving through Sonora. The current plan is to drive through Baja and then take the ferry over. We will definitely avoid driving at night. We're part of a few Facebook groups of people driving in Mexico. We're keeping an eye out to learn which area's to avoid, etc. 😍

Hi John! Welcome to our channel, so glad you came over from Tread The Globe 🤗 we will be shipping our van across the Darien gap on a container ship. It is the only way for a vehicle this size. Costs an arm and a leg but it will be worth it to have our house with us 😉
Main challenge, the Darien Gap between panama and Colombia. Good luck
Thanks! We'll show those rebels in the Darien gap!
The southernmost point in the American Continent is Cape Horn, Chile, and the southernmost town in the world is Puerto Williams, in Chile, south of Ushuaia, and the southernmost village in the world is Puerto Toro, also in Navarino Island, Chile.
好棒的旅行,超羨慕❤
Xie xie ;)
You should check out . The TH-cam channel.. Snow and Kurt.
They're doing the same thing..
I think.now they're in Brazil.
Yeah we've heard of them, thanks for letting us know. 🙏👍
Didn't Trent and Ally do this too? Enjoy your trip!!!
Yeah they did in 2018 and 2019. I think they completed it just before the pandemic hit.
Taiwan funs here ~~~ HELLO~~
HELLO 😍😍
What does it take to complete a road trip like this? I've been wanting to try this, but I might need to save up a lot first.
I am surpirsed there was no footage from the ferry. Its a beautiful ride over to the island.
Did you watch with your eyes closed? 😆😆
@@NaickKim nope eyes open you drove up the the ferry. Got on showed the boat. Then you were getting off. No ocean or shorelines? nless I looked away..
Before you guys leave Canada, you should stock up on some smoked salmon
I really love smoked salmon 😍😍
Those are Elk
Thanks for letting us know!
美麗的河漂😄紓解了旅途的疲勞❤️❤️
Great advanture.
謝謝妳的影片分享❤
Do you keep your van registered in your home county or did you re register it in Canada or USA?
We keep it registered in Belgium. I don't think you can import a European van into the US/Canada as the vehicle standards are different (safety, emissions, etc.). There is an exception for old timers (older than 25 y or so).
Love ❤️
还是喜欢你们的北极圈之旅,温暖的房车和外面的严寒形成对比,很美好,希望你们还能再次开着房车去北极!!❤❤❤
cant wait to watch his journey, will you guys pay el salvador another visit? :)
We aren't sure yet on our route, but probably we will ;)
We had a great stay in El Salvador.
@@NaickKim i was going to ask the same question. Bcuz you didn’t 😢included on the list for all countries. So sad. But hope you guys make the time. I know you have been there before and really enjoy your videos when visited El Salvador. Good luck on your trip and have a safe travel time.
Considering how violent Mexico is it’s not a good idea at all to drive through Sonora or any of the northern states
La ciudad mas austral es Puerto Williams, en Chile.
👍👍👍
As much as i know Ford Transit are AWD and not 4x4 ! Pan america possible in it?? Love from India 🇮🇳
Have you heard of the black bear attack in Dawson Creek on October 7. They are cute but can be deadly. Love your videos!!
No we hadn't. Just read the news article, really horrible what happened there. Luckily they all survived.
How did you get your van through the Darién gap???
Just saw you commented on the video about the Darien gap :D
@@NaickKim ohhh yeahhh I watched it after making this comment. I just found your channel. I love your channel. I hope you’re safe and doing well xx
@@Sailorlluna Thanks a lot IIuna! We are doing great. We're still in Colombia. Kim has been sick for a couple of days so we're resting up a bit.
There are many Taiwanese in the member list!
How did you get through the Darian Gap ?
Slapped around a few guerrillas. We really showed them who's boss!
@@NaickKim i'll bet !
@@Sam_Green____4114 we're actually shipping our van past the Darien gap, just like everyone else. If you have a motorcycle you can also put it on a small private boat, but for a car or van you can only ship it.
@@NaickKim You mean you aren't there yet ? It's taken more than a year ? Slapping the Guerrillas sounded more interesting !! l was looking forward to the video !!
But the Darién Gap.
I’m thinking to go to friends Guyana if you don’t know what is French Guiana is or where is it exact South American but I’m thinking to go on the road trip there and how to request the panama river and yeah I’m taking a Jeep ther
Only way to cross the Darien gap..
Is by slapping around some guerillas!
😎❤️🇹🇼‼️ yea. I mean your trips in Taiwan we more epic with less resources.
😍
That would be impossible due to the Darrien Gap.
Yet we made it to South America... tum tum tum (**mysterious alien ship noises**)
💡👍
😍
Alaska and Argentina road full movie ok
Hi what kind of freelancers Jobs can u recommend?
Video editors are probably some of the most sought after jobs right now in the world. You can pretty much do anything from being a virtual assistant, video and photo editing, translation work, consulting, programming, data entry, etc.
Them rural US/CA border agents extra mad for some reason.
I am early finally ☺️
Wootwoot!! Welcome Mutton 😉 11 seconds hahaha. I wasn't even sure if I had pressed post yet! Enjoy the video!
Are you aware there is no road from Panama to Columbia? You have to go by ship 🤷
There actually is a road. You have to drive through the Pacific Highway Ocean Road and then you arrive in Cartagena. It is very easy.
跨越美洲😊
Yes we are 😄
