    I tried this. Everything was looking perfect same as your video. I stirred until it lumped together. I tested a piece to see if it could be rolled into ball and it could so I took off heat, greased a tray but when I went to pour it into tray it was crumbling into dry pieces. I don't know what I did wrong. Can you tell me? Did I make mistake with mixture or with cooking time/heat? Thank you :)

      Sorry to hear about the crumbling. Its just a matter of time for the burfi to becomes crumble from rolling stage. We need to be really quick to pour immediately. Even for experts it happen sometimes. When I made video of Krisha Sweets Style Mysorepak, first time i was late by just 2-3 seconds and all of the mixture gets crumbled. For most of the sugar syrup sweets, its easy to fix. We just need to keep the crumbled mixture and sprinkle some water and burfi mixture again becomes watery and we need to stir till we get rolling consistency and then pour it into the plate

      I either use stainless steel Bergnerheavy bottomed pan or Circulon non-stick

      It will take approximately 15 mins. Shelf life is for a week

    Hai🙂 I tried it today...d taste was perfect but it is too soft...after cutting into pieces, couldn't take out those...were sticky... I cooked it again to form a thick dough, but den too d pieces got sticky... Wat woúld be reason??

      we should keep stirring for some more time so that it will be firm. once we take it out, and if we re-heat also it will not work out. sometimes from the edges of the pan will show the mixture crispy that would help us find the correct consistency

    I made it but it has a taste of milk😭 .And the sugar also didn't dissolve😥. I think using powdered sugar will b better.

      yes always keep the flame low - medium while making burfi

      I did badam burfi
      Came out well except that it became little dry as I dint know when to exactly off the stove. Pls tell how many mins it generally takes in ur cuming videos or some detailed way of telling the consistency.
      Overall its very yummy and perfectly tasty.
      Thanks a lot. Ur recipe is different from all others n i felt it more simple too.

    Is there any reason, why there's no cardamon in it? Does it taste better with or without cardamon?

      Cardamom is optional. It just add a nice aroma to the dish

      No wheat flour needed. the almond powder will get thick

      We can again cook for couple of minutes more to get proper burfi consistency

      we can use butter instead. without ghee or butter, burfi will be hard

      For sweets oil will not taste good. you can try using coconut oil atleast if you are so particular not to use ghee

    Oh God Subbu..my pad am never comes..why why why..it did not get thick..and its cooked like sticky chewey candy..what do I do wrong every single time..?

    Subbus K..u r a genius..thankyou..I tried it again today..I got 2 c of paste so I used 2 c sugar..then mixed n mixed n mixed n mixed till my hand fell off!! Gave up when was nearly thick not yet a ball..set it and was convinced it would be horrible..went grocery shopping..came home cut it up..I was shocked..it was cutting n it was perfect..with making a 1 string I think it wld not need so much mixing..but this way its foolproof..TY so much..finally I have made baadam cake..💕💕

    Made it today..yes it is a foolproof recipe..was coming out great..then I took it too far! Its setting now..but I bet its going to b hard n crumbly..shd have stopped cooking when I thought to stop! Next year I'm going to nail it!! Sowmya...if it's too hard n crumbly any way to rescue it...🌹🌺

      Milk brings down the shelf life. so i prefer water than milk

      The right stage is very important for any burfi varieties and even for more experienced persons, each try is their first attempt. if we take out the mixture just a few seconds before, the burfi will have a halwa consistency, just try dropping a pinch of mixture in the greased plate and check if it becomes crispy, if not keep cooking

      Sugar burfi is easy to fix. If its very soft and fudgy, cook it again for few more minutes and it will thicken and becomes hard
