Hi Kanak / Peace To All ... taking quinoa to another level:: soak a few hours, drain, rinse, drain - this will remove the saponins - then gently dry roast until you'll hear the quinoa seeds 'pop' ... when popping stops.let cool & add to date / nut mixture ... Popped quinoa adds a delightful subtle crunch. I soak / pop extra quinoa & store in airtight glass jar - it's ready to go for a few more date rolls ..(! used to add it to 'chocolate bark' before I went Whole Food Plant Based / Oil-Dairy-Sugar free ... it was yummm ..!)
I made this using quinoa instead of the couscous .. tasted really good. I added some cinnamon and cloves, and a bit of fresh orange juice. Thank you for this easy recipe. My son loves dates! :D

Khaleda Ahmed Dates are around 60% sugars, mainly glucose and fructose and has a GI of 55% which is considered low! Undoubtedly healthier then if it had added sucrose!!!
Have been making this for a few years now. Loved the video, it shows the effort you put in. But it’s misleading to say these are sugar free and calorie free. Agree there’s no “added” sugar, there’s plenty of natural sugars in this and calorie laden. That’s why this is eaten during winter as your body needs the calories to fight the cold.

Definitely sugar free but calories from dry fruits n ghee is called as good fat which is much needed for body... there's nothing to laugh if you can't appreciate.

Eating a little bit is ok. Some fruits like apple, oranges etc are healthy. However, eating too many mangoes or bananas can make you gain weight- although they have all natural sugars.
No. Sugars are not equal, you are wrong. Fruit sugar is very easily managed by the body. Fruit alone will not make you fat, no matter how much you eat. Fruit combined with other foods its a totally different story.
