Assalamu alaikum...jkk sister for the recipe....Alhamdulillah the recipe went well but not sure when i was trying to kneed(goondna) it that the dough was sticky and not forming shape as if it was still wet.....i made sure to cook it with the sugar syrup such that it gets thick and does not drop off the spoon. I used powered sugar for drizzling but same issue....MA yours came out to be a good managible to roll it flat....Inshallah plz advise if anything needs to be added
Wsalaam, I think the dough was not forming because of more moisture try adding less water in sugar syrup and cook it on slow flame until it’s completely dry then try to kneed.. hope this helps you.
@@HomeCooked sure will let you know in which part of USA are u located. These jaalis are made in thin layer like jalebi also and then they r dried I had happen to see in a wedding in Mysore she had made it v beautiful and it really looked attractive n delicate

+Gulnaaz Afzal - Soaking almonds changes the texture of the nut which is easy to cook and digest. Your idea is also worth giving a shot but I haven’t tried it yet, and i m guessing the taste may slightly differ. Btw if you are gonna use almond flour make sure the flour mix is peeled almonds.
+ Ameena Kausar - You’re Welcome!! *For 3 string sugar syrup you can boil for 3-4 minutes, carefully take some syrup in between your fingers and check how many strings are formed. *Baking is completely optional, if you don’t have oven you can use pressure cooker without whistle and bake for 5- 10 mins similar to how we bake cakes in pressure cooker. *water is added to sugar syrup only, the proportion is 1:1 (equal amounts) Hope this helps, let me know if you have any question, i’ll be happy to help.
