  • This time in Breath of the Wild, we show how Nintendo updates the map as you play the game, the newest broken glitch that duplicates anything, and the many places poison water is located in Breath of the Wild.
In the video above, we cover 16 facts, tips and tricks that aren’t quite as well known, ranging from secrets to glitches that are pretty simple and others that are fairly complex. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for five years at this point, and players have found some amazing things, intended or not, that keep the game and its sense of discovery feeling fresh.

I got instant Mario vibes when he said “poison water”.
This could of been really neat to have in game. Instead of the training area with the mud pool, it could of been poison water, and I think that would be super cool.
Or it could of been used to show certain parts of water had been polluted due to either the calamity’s malice, or the citizens of Hyrule becoming lazy and unintentionally polluting the water

    • @RinHara5aki

As someone who thinks BOTW's one major flaw is item durability I'm looking forward to that video on IST. I know I said I prefer in-universe cheese to actual glitches on a previous vid but I'll make an exception for this one since simply cloning your favourite weapon 20 times is the perfect counter to feeling anxiety when using it under normal conditions.

Love the series! Also, if you haven’t included this in your videos yet, here’s an idea that I’d love you to put in since it’s extremely uncommon. there’s a decayed guardian on mount drenna (if that’s how it’s spelled). If you’re extremely quick, you can search it and get an ancient piece before it wakes up. However I’m pretty sure it only works for the guardian on mount drenna. The video clip is on DarkStorm3’s channel, I do believe. I’d love you to include this!

You can Stasis+ immobile Guardian Stalkers before they wake up, and they'll clip below the ground, getting them out of your way.
Best example is the stationary Guardian near the fountain in Hyrule Castle Central Square.

The poison water made me think of how cool poison arrows would be! Kinda like fire arrows, where there would obviously be damage on impact but also damage slowly over time. Could be the same for acid arrows too! But maybe the acid could ware down armored enemies, or make them vulnerable and make them take more damage? I think there’s something like that in horizon forbidden west, but I’ve never played it 🤷‍♀️ it’d be really cool and refreshing to see some new arrow mechanics and elements in botw2. Or any Zelda games in the future. I remember seeing something years ago about how there was code in botw for a wind/gale arrow? It was obviously scrapped but even that would be cool to see! Spring 2023 can’t come soon enough! And let hope it isn’t delayed again lol

    • @Buglin_Burger7878

Because getting "Surf Up" on something used to stop you from dying clutters the pool compared to the other two options which are actually universally beneficial to stopping you from dying.
Remember once you learn what shields are good for surfing you'd use said shields for surfing only.

5:50 The change in run speeds likely isn't a special addition for who's first, but just a product of collision. With the Goron in front, the Gerudo doesn't accelerate as would happen if the path was clear. Of course if I got the wrong idea and there are special mechanics here, please explain!

You can add "shield surf up" to any shield by using a save editor. My guess as to why it was removed is simply because of modifier bloat, they probably figured most players would rather want durability or guard up instead.
