To collect the arrows being shot at you, you just need a wooden shield, hold it up and the arrows will stick. When you put the shield away, you'll collect all that were stuck in it! And then I assume you can then run out of sight again.
Early in the game I collect lots of arrows from the middle part of the Hylia Bridge. What is interesting about this is that you can catch the arrows in your Shield like has already been mentioned. But you can also collect arrows from the ground. The Shield will eventually break so you have to put the shield away before it does to collect arrows. The good part of this is you can save the game right there and then reload it. Then you can start collecting the arrows again. Early in the game I will usually collect about a hundred arrows that way until I get bored with doing it.

This is such a good game. I just got a switch a month ago and Zelda is my first game. This game is so impressive and addictive. Thanks for your videos.
If you have the DLC and don't want to go through upgrading the snow armour to pick up front peblets or mount frost taluses, you could go find Zant's helmet. Fir some reason its main ability is the unfreezable power
Nice! I've shot the chuchu jelly with electric arrows but never put them in water first. You lose a good chunk of them directly shooting them. Good tip
In fact getting used to the fast switching between two bomb types comes in VERY handy all thru the game, as with upgraded bombs you can literally throw bombs without stopping because by the time you throw 1 bomb, the previous will have just recharged. So when upgraded you can literally chain bomb throws relatively fast this way. I use this strategy when fighting Guardian Scouts when they do their laser spin. I can get 4 or 5 bomb throws off on them from JUST outside their laser spin range while they spin for extra damage throughout the phase.
Learning new things! I personally use the different rods to make whatever chuchu jelly I need, but that's cool that you can do it all these different ways as well!
Just keep a sword of each elemental type for turning the chuchu jelly. Just drop and swing the sword at them. Also blizzard rod for farming apples and fruit. Hold down attack and it'll knock all the items off trees and walls. Cold and hot weapons also work for keeping you hot and cold in opposite climates.
I use bombs to get apples and Hearty Durians by tossing bombs at the trees. Pick up the fruit and then drop a bomb on the downed trees if I need firewood.
Good list. The only one I didn't discover while playing was the replacing a rusty weapon with a clean one by throwing it into the stone Octorok. Really cool find.
This is why this game is so incredible to me...with all the many hours I've played BOTW there were several things here that I had no idea about. I have the tears of the kingdom OLED on order and can't wait to play the new game on it!
With the porgy under the seagulls, if you hit them all with a shock arrow or a bomb, some of them will despawn cause theres too many items. Just jump in with the stealth suit and grab them live to get more :)
Lol I often use that EXACT same spot on the Plateau to farm arrows early :) Very good strategy early on! You can also just Save/Reload on the spot to get them to start spawning arrows again. I also set myself up just behind them afterwards, save my game then reload & sneak kill them for more arrows, as they almost always drop a 5 arrow pack each.
Also for the chu chu jellies you can just kill the blue chu chu with an elemental weapon or arrow of choice and it will turn them into that color and drop that color
Some great tips here! I always need more arrows so I'll start doing that with the bokoblins. And i had no idea the little guardians would respawn after a blood moon in the shrines!
I knew that killing a chuchu with a flame blade would give you red chuchu jelly but tossing a bunch of my regular chuchu jelly on a fire is going to be so much more convenient. Thank you for these tips!
For the chuchu jelly’s. You just need to use an elemental swaps. Use a ice weapon to turn them into white chuchu jelly, a fire weapon for red chuchu jelly and thunderblade for yellow chuchu jelly
First off I just wanted to say that it was refreshing to hear a female voice and one with a southern accent as well. I'm from California, so it's not my accent. 😆 It's nice to hear someone from a different part of the country. Second, I learn a lot from this video. I didn't know you could get arrows from a cooking pot! Regarding the wolves, I like to kill as much as I can for the meat; meat skewers can fetch ya a pretty penny at Goron City. I knew you could change chuchus to other colors, but I didn't know about the water methods. Will come in handy! Thanks!
If you have run out of stamina (and have no cooking or elixirs) doing give up ! Shove Link against the rockface and he will often ... slowly ... grind his way to level ground where you can start over - without dying
When you kill most small enemies their drop will be wherever their ribcage is (especially important detail with stal-whatev). Knowing that when fighting near a ledge or in high winds can be important for successful recovery. EDIT : Almost forgot to mention that throwing a stal enemy's skull over a cliff leaves the ribcage up where you are, and avoids unnecessary weapon damage from destroying the skull
If you're trying to do something on shore but an Octo is greifing you, build a wall of ice (or three) right in front of and next to him. Later you can swim to the block, climb it, drop a bomb on him, move away and detonate it. Don't forget to collect his drop
This is all super helpful info, thank you! I've been an avid gamer for over thirty years going back to early PC gaming and I'm just about to start playing BOTW. I'm huge into immersive RPG and free roam exploration style games and honestly BOTW is the first time I've felt intimidated and overwhelmed by a game in a very long time. I'm looking forward to diving head first into this masterpiece!
for the pebblets, you dont have to have the armour requirements, shoot or hit it with the opposite element, then itll turn into a normal, pickupable rock. but only for 30 seconds or so
When approaching a skull, you can easily climb up the back (unless it is raining) and by staying newsroom the back (not climbing on top of it) you can kill all the archer lookouts without being detected ... but here's a fun twist when it is loaded with powerful enemies you are not ready for : stand above an eye socket (get close to the edge) and turn to around 45 degrees ... wish i could show you ... and drop a round bomb. You'll know you got the correct angle / position when the bomb rolls back and forth on the bottom lip of the eye socket - before rolling into the skull (unless it's crazy windy). Detonate when you see their life bar move near the bomb, or turn the camera and you can see into the skull, near the front, anyway. Their life bar, after they take damage, will give away their position
Really glad you made this video. I know it’s from one year ago but just watched recently! Helped so much that even changed my perspective of the game from boring to an amazing game!
6:22 In shrines with water on the floor you can raise water towers around the Guardian after getting him onto the shock pile to keep him from moving off. EDIT : if the Guardian looks like it might move off of the swords / shields, use a low-power bow to shoot it in the eye with a regular arrow. One or two shots should be all you need to push it back over the electrical discharge. In shrines that have blocks (which can be lifted with magnesis) you can charge an entire block, giving you a larger area on which to zap 'em
3:08 Octos pretending to be a chest - test from a distance w/magnesis, if it is not magnetic it is an octo. Toss a bomb to make it pop up, switch quickly to the other type of bomb and toss one, killing the octo
What I discovered about ChuChu Jelly is that if you hit a blue ChuChu with whatever elemental weapon, the jelly when it's dead will be the element of that weapon.
For the chu jellies I often just use the wands but in areas that are frozen you can just drop them on the ground and they will freeze and near the volcano you can drop them on the ground and they'll become fire type
1.50. Making Ice Chus - if players are nervous about trying your cold water trick, they can get a blizzard rod (you show us where later) and walk around (no special armor needed areas) Goron territory. For some reason fire chus are everywhere, and the blizzard rod both kills them and switches them to ice
To get Chuchus of different colors you can also swing and elemental weapon next to them. Don't hit them with the blade, but swing it close enough for the elemental effect to touch them. It's faster than having to go to a special body of water. Also works for pebblets: hit them with the opposite element and they become normal pebblets, safe to pick up without any buff.
For the chuchu transforming, you can put one yellow chuchu next to the ones you want to transform, and blow that one yellow chuchu with a bomb. Just be careful don't let the others get bombed too. It'll explode into electricity and turn the others yellow. That way you save a shock arrow. This trick works for all colors too. Actually the target chuchus don't even have to be blue, they can be any color, they'll always turn into whatever elemental effect they touch.
Chuchu’s are even easier than. That…shoot the big chuchu with an elemental arrow for the desired type you need. Use a shock arrow on a large chuchu, get yellow chuchus, ice arrow for white, fire arrow for red. Then you don’t even have to “convert” them after. Sometimes you will have 3-4 large chuchus pop up at once, I kill each one with a different elemental arrow to stock up on the variety needed for upgrades.
You can also use any wooden shield to collect arrows. Hold it up when they shoot at you, then, when you put it away, you'll collect all the arrows stuck in it. Just make sure to do so before it breaks, because if it breaks, you're SOL.
With all the hype surrounding TOTK and having been a massive Zelda fan way back to a link to the past I decided to finally get a switch at Christmas . It came with Mario Odyssey, which was awesome, but my head was always in Hyrule. So I shelled out on BOTW and almost immediately fell in love with the new direction………..then I got hopelessly lost and hopelessly out fought, oh oh , I thought, this isn’t going to work out…..but… Thanks to your simple to follow and informative videos I can now flurry and parry with a good degree of success and I’m beginning to find my way around a lot better. I have just met the Lynel above Zora’s Domain so I have really only just begun - but I’m getting there and I am having the best fun. Thanks.
I didn't know you could do the Chu Chu's that way. What I've been doing with the blue Chu Chu's is to kill them with a fire blade, thunder blade, or frost blade or spear to get the desired Chu Chu. I like these methods too. Thanks for sharing. You have a lovely accent. Cheers.
Honestly, bombs also work best for Octorok's too. Just get used to throwing bombs from a distance & letting them roll into their area then detonate. Then immediately switch to the square bomb & do the same to finish it off when it pops up from having it's weed destroyed. Easy :)
if you want to do the chuchu jellys faster and more efficiently, you can strick them with any elemental sword and they wil tuen into their respective elements
Actually when turning the Chuchu jelly all you’ve gotta do is just hit it with any of the elemental weapons not the arrows and it’ll just turn into that kind of jellyOr you can kill different kinds of to choose with the weapon
When a lizalfos is engaging you and it jumps back, away from you, bouncing from side to side, charge toward it immediately. This works well even when, especially when ?, they have a shield as you will almost always find yourself *behind* its shield, leaving lizalfos momentarily surprised and vulnerable to your spear weapon (my suggestion on weaponry is also optional). EDIT : it might help that i swerve left and right slightly as i charge at them, not sure
When clearing water platforms a well placed bomb can often blow an enemy - especially important with stronger enemies - into water, where they will die immediately
Thanks for the tip on the arrows in the cooking. Before I forget (again) thank you for these videos. Very informative. Where have you been al my BOTW life

Chasing darners, fireflies and butterflies without stealth armor is a pain - reduce your frustration by only pursuing the real ones : real fireflies have a halo around them, or, sometimes, are very bright. Butterflies and darners have a very black, opaque even, body whereas the illusions are faint
Fighting a Guardian in lightning ? Your weapons might not attract a lightning strike, but all the screws and springs coming off of it might. While removing its legs, watch where you move ! Also pay attention to how a Guardian rocks - if the reflected bolt isn't hitting it squarely, move to one side or the other, avoiding unnecessary damage to your shields ... every extra hit counts. The Guardian rocking left of right is going to take longer to destroy
🤣Never thought about catching one with a shock arrow, good to know, always hate to kill a horse but mine has gotten caught in the cross fire before…thank you!

Yes this can become a very tedious daunting task 😜, but sometimes when we need those arrows, we do crazy things🤣
Yea but then you have to keep getting more shields. This method is way easier.
Just be sure to lower the "shield" from time to time so the arrows go into your inventory and don't just vanish when the shield finally explodes !

I hope ToTK ends up being the same way 💞
This is such a good game. I just got a switch a month ago and Zelda is my first game. This game is so impressive and addictive. Thanks for your videos.
Yes, it is and thank you so much for watching… Sit back and enjoy your journey!💞
Good tip
I knew most of these already, though I never thought of using the elemental weapons and campfire to kill enemies.
Thank you, and thank you for watching!
Dang! That bomb trick with the seals is a revelation to me!!!!
To catch a sand seal, you can also climb on the edge of the wall of the Gerudo Town, and then jump-fly on them, I do that in some of my videos 😉
Okay so I figured out the octorok thing myself, but everything else was completely brand new to me and has helped me out A LOT!!! Thank you!!!
You are very welcome, I’m so glad it helps. And thank you for watching!
The chuchu tip made my mouth drop. That’s amazing
Also for the chu chu jellies you can just kill the blue chu chu with an elemental weapon or arrow of choice and it will turn them into that color and drop that color
OMG I just realized about picking those damn rock guys up. So satisfying to turn the tables on them knocking me down cliffs.
You are welcome and thank you for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you, and thank you for watching!
Good tip, thank you!
Thank you, My advice is to take your time and enjoy the journey😉💞
The seal bomb trick is really handy, I really wish I had known that one when I first played (instead of chasing them down for 3 minutes).
🤣🤣
for the pebblets, you dont have to have the armour requirements, shoot or hit it with the opposite element, then itll turn into a normal, pickupable rock. but only for 30 seconds or so
Good tip, thank you!
6:30 NO WAY! THATS SO INGENIOUS! Thank you so much for all the helpful hints! 👍💯
Thank you!
Picking up Pebblets is pretty OP.
Octorock tip was nice.
Unlimited Arrows is great
Thanks for all the tips
You are welcome… Thank you for watching!
WTF! I’ve lost count how many times I’ve played this game and I never knew the arrows and cooking pot trick! Thanks!
You are welcome… Thank you for watching!
Good tip, thank you!💞
3:08 Octos pretending to be a chest - test from a distance w/magnesis, if it is not magnetic it is an octo.
Good tip, thank you!
You can also hit the giant chuchus with the frostblade for ice chuchu, fireblade for red chuchu, and the thunderblade for the yellow ones :)
If you have bombs selected while gliding you can both drop and detonate them on the unsuspecting -whatevs- below you, but the wind still matters
Thank you for these tips!! Especially about the jelly, I never knew that. Also your accent is amazing, I loved listening to it
You are welcome, and thank you for watching!
Use thunder, fire, ice swords to turn the juju its way easier
If you kill chuchus with a flaming weapon it'll drop red jelly
You can also use any wooden shield to collect arrows. Hold it up when they shoot at you, then, when you put it away, you'll collect all the arrows stuck in it. Just make sure to do so before it breaks, because if it breaks, you're SOL.
🤣
Thanks.
Thank you so much and you are very welcome… Take your time and enjoy your journey, I am glad I could help and thank you for watching!
Cheers.
Thank you, cheers!
Shoot the chu jelly with an elemental fused arrow or hit with elemental weapon to change the chu jelly to whatever the element is.
Thank you. I have just started BOTW and this video was really helpful. Im trying to work things out as I go, but it can get a little overwhelming.
You are very welcome, thank you and Yes, it can, but just take your time and enjoy the journey!💞
Honestly, bombs also work best for Octorok's too. Just get used to throwing bombs from a distance & letting them roll into their area then detonate. Then immediately switch to the square bomb & do the same to finish it off when it pops up from having it's weed destroyed. Easy :)
Good tip!
You can also convert blue chuchu jelly to ice chuchu jellies using an ice/blizzard rod :) You can easily do 10 at a time this way w each ice beam.
Tip for Bokoblins on horses! Put the camera straight up and stand there. They almost always miss if the camera is right above link
I always would use a stasis and then grab their horse. Bokoblin horses do not require taming so you can just jump right on and go to town on them.
Oh wow. This is amazing! I know what to look out for in my next gameplay.
if you want to do the chuchu jellys faster and more efficiently, you can strick them with any elemental sword and they wil tuen into their respective elements
Just started my first playthrough and some of these tips are amazing!
Thank you, I hope they help and thank you for watching!
Being able to pick up the pleblets is honestly adorable
Actually when turning the Chuchu jelly all you’ve gotta do is just hit it with any of the elemental weapons not the arrows and it’ll just turn into that kind of jellyOr you can kill different kinds of to choose with the weapon
Wow I never would've guessed about bombing the sand seals!
Where have you been al my BOTW life
You are welcome and thank you!
Go to a place where they shoot bomb arrows. Wait for rain. Collect bomb arrows.
You can change the jellies by swinging an elementary weapon over them.
The end of this video is probably the place you are talking about for bomb arrows 😉

Also nice tip on bombing the sand seals. You can catch a horse easily with a shock arrow too, just use a weaker bow because you *can* kill the horse.
🤣Never thought about catching one with a shock arrow, good to know, always hate to kill a horse but mine has gotten caught in the cross fire before…thank you!
@Gary Williams Never tried ice arrows either, may have to now, great tip…thank you!
Ice arrow is better for horses, because they give you enough stun time to catch up from a far distance
Ice arrow works too
Zants helmet and the Hebra armor set grant “unfreezeable” allowing you to go in ice water btw.
Awesome tip thank you!
I am very new to this game. Thank you so much for the "infinite" arrow trick!!
You are very welcome, glad it helps and thank you for watching!
Thank you buddy, I just got the Oled Switch and started playing BOTW, your video will help a lot.
Danny from Beirut.
Your are welcome!
you can also use the various arrow types to do the trick with the chu chu jelly making it easier to get the white ones with ice arrows
Huh, I was not expecting to learn something new but i didn't know about bombing the seals.
omg i didnt know about the octorock polishing! thats so cool! they have it in AoC so ofc it makes sense
