It's weird but details like this make me happy lol
Lynel tips: when thrown off their back after mounting you can trigger slow motion by pulling out your bow. Shoot them from behind in the neck with a fire arrow and they will once again be stunned and prepped for mounting if done properly. You can also lay 4 bundles of wood with a piece of flint near the area you are fighting the Lynel. by striking the flint 4 campfires will be created and u have a constant up draft to aid you if you are having trouble hitting the Lynel's sweet spot. The most effective weapon to slay a Lynel in my opinion is a quick draw Lynel bow that has multiple shots per arrow. Get in close while in the air with your paraglider, trigger slow motion by pulling out your bow and fire your arrows so that all - 3 or 5 depending- arrows you fire hit the sweet spot. fire until you are nearly depleted of stanima. Once slow motion is ended the Lynel should become stunned. Either wait a second for your stamina to recharge or eat a meal to speed this process. Mount the Lynel and follow the same steps I described earlier. Hope this helped all who took the time to read~ Goodluck
Landis Rumble Easiest way is to just stasis it. One shot to down it in stasis, aim for it's head as it recovers, shoot after it shakes its head to stun it, run around and mount it. It will run away and turn around, stasis it, rinse repeat. It is stupidly easy with a lynel bow. I can now kill lynels without them even having a chance to attack using minimal arrows and hardly any bow durability. Maybe 5-6 times of that will kill a normal lynel depending in the weapon you use while mounted. I generally just used the master sword as it was what I normally had equipped, so 30 damage. Use the lynel sword or crusher and the whole process is shortened.
This isn't so much as useful, but it's so freaking satisfying when it works. During a thunderstorm, pull out a metallic weapon (preferably a boomerang) and prepare to throw it an enemy. When the lightning's about to strike you, release R and you've got yourself a one-hit kill weapon on your hands! P.S., do this with a iron sledgehammer to become Thor :P
I had this same idea on the Hinox in Eventide Island. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how its hitbox worked so when lightning struck, it only hit the weapon on the ground.
Boomerangs are amazing. they do two hits on contact when thrown, and they can hit enemies on the rebound. They can do 72 damage on throw with the lizal tri- boomerang. Not to mention you do not have to charge to hit like a claymore, you just move back. If they are badly damaged, they will break slower if you catch them. I always love them. Lizalfos aren't as fun to kill like lynels and not satisfying like bokoblins.
I wear Gerudo Helmet (which you can get after helping everybody in a city) and when the lightning strikes me, I don't get damage but all the enemies around do.
HINT!! If you cook a *Big Heart Radish* and four *Hearty Durians* it gives you *21* extra hearts. If you do it right before a blood moon, it gives you 22! Edit: Gold hearts, not health restore. It fully restores your hearts, and gives you 22 EXTRA hearts.
okay, there are a few confusions here. You can have a total of 30 hearts in botw (including yellow ones). This means that in many cases it will not be worth it to cook more than one durian because you will be sacrificing full heal dishes for 4 more yellow hearts (which you can’t take advantage of beyond the 30 heart limit). Additionally, you can get 25 extra hearts (26 with a critical cook) if you cook 5 hearty radishes, which is the max amount of extra hearts you are able to get from one food item.
When you mount the lynel, once you backflip off of him pull your bow out and rain arrows down on his head. Also hitting a lynel while mounting him does NOT USE ANY DURABILITY. So quickly switch to your strongest weapon to do the most damage and waste no durability on it.
Just wanted to note, there's an area just west of the "Gut Wretch Challenge" at the edge of the lava lake that has some rusty weapons and an octo on an island. This area was placed to teach you this trick.
I personally found that when attacking a lynel from on top of it, it doesn’t break your weapons! So get your 70 damage royal guard claymore, and just go ham.
"Where is it? Hyrule Castle! Oh. Oh man...uuuh..okay.." BRUH MY EXACT FEELINGS ABOUT THAT DAMN PLACE. I wanted to get all the Captured Memories as soon as possible and practically had a panic attack getting in there from the back. I was hiding in a tiny crevice to avoid the sights of the Guardian near the memory spot, and as i jumped down and quickly hit recall, i had not one but two enemies targeting me as the cut scene began. when it was over and they were obviously still about to shoot me i just teleported out of that shit :/
I always go there as soon as I'm able to get the paraglider. I go there to get high damage weapons, the hylian sheild, and the royal guard armor, makes a nice strong start to the game.
Last Zelda I played was Twilight princess, not a major fan boy and that being said ive been BALLS DEEP on this game, its overly amazing and really well made.
Correction on your point mounting a lynel: it’s always worth it to mount and damage a lynel because it doesn’t take your weapons durability as you attack it, this is why you should always switch to your strongest beforehand (attack speed is constant even with heavy weapons).

Gamers: Zelda is one of the handholdiest RPGs ever created. Nintendo: You want a game without handholding? We'll make a Zelda with so many mechanics and not tell anyone how anything works. Gamers: This is too much not handholding. You know, with other games after a month most of the crazy mechanics are found but in BotW they have made a weekly series on new things they find. at this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see a video where someone discovers an awesome use for Dubious Food.
I mean, depending on what materials you use you can get a pretty decent return on your dubious food. The largest I've had is 8 hearts. There's probably some sort of combination where you get more hearts turning it into dubious food than with just the standard version :)
The game tells you anyway. Also, whoever said Zelda is the most handholding game is a liar and quite possibly never played the games. The Original Legend of Zelda, Minish Cap, Four Sword, A Link to the Past, amongst many others are seriously head frying games.

there's an easier route to get to the hylian shield, just paraglide from north of the moat into the docks area and there's a path there that takes you directly into the prison area, no need for the mine carts and bombable walls
Its actually really easy, the guy just went to longest way around, you can simply glide down into the tunnels, then its just a few turns, no bombs needed. You'll have to fight at least 3 black Lizaolfs, and the stall hinox isnt as bad when you have some decent gear.
You can mount a lynel, but you can also shield-block its charge attack. Imagine the force of this. Then imagine tiny Link blocking this. With a shield. With one arm. Link is terrifying.
True, but from what I can tell you can never exceed 30 total hearts (or my game just doesn't like me ;u;). Plus you get more heart value total if you make 5 hearty radish dishes with one radish each, since then you also get the full health boost plus the hearty bonus for each of them :) So it really all depends on your priorities whether or not it's a better benefit.
I think everyone will enjoy this story. So strap in. So I was the lynel for the zora quest and died like a million times, I was getting fed up, so I decided to be sneaky (note: SNEAKY IS NOT MY STRONG POINT IN ANY GAME WHAT SO EVER!!! ESPECIALLY BOTW). So I sneak up to him and he thinks he sees me. I’m like “OH SH*T” so I do a round about with him around a boulder, apparently I was too fast? And end up right under him literally. But I notice he still has the dang “?”. So I just start swinging my sword, the whole battle was him turning to all his different sides trying to find me while I was beneath him. It never felt so good to win. :) lol

Fight any and every electric enemy with the master sword since you cant drop it and if you can, equip a wooden bow and a wooden sheild so those wont fall off during battle. Did that and defeated even the camel divine beast in less than 5 mins.
About the lynel: For some reason headshots don't always count. It's recommended to aim for the chin when shooting. Also your weapons don't loose durability when you're mounted on a lynel
Mounting Lynels actually makes Link use the hilt of his weapons to stab him, which doesn't lower their durability whatsoever. So if you're able to stun and mount the Lynel again and again, you can defeat them with just arrows and not break any weapons. Definitely worth mentioning!
I find it pretty useful to use stasis to find any hidden guardian amongst broken down guardians. Stasis is also great for finding items such as mushrooms or eggs. Also, any armor that reduces your movement sound is a plus. It makes it way easier to catch beetle and actually reduces your sound when swimming too. So sneaking up on fishes is a bonus too, unless your using bombs to fish. That works too.
No they aren’t, you just have to get the hang of killing them Start with the red lynel above the Zora’s domain, then go to the 1st bastion with a blue lynel in Hyrule castle and you basically understood all of their attacks and how to counter them and you can basically slam them every bloodmoon
I wouldn't recommend it honestly. It does a third of the Master Sword's regular damage. It looks cool but if you want an effective ranged attack, stick with bows.
GreenWilder if you wear the tunic of the wild(spoiler alert) when you are done with all 120 shrines and get the set bonus it actually does more damage btw the more heart containers you have the further the beam will go! If you took the time to read this, have a nice day!

Ancient arrows will disintegrate enemies in ONE HIT. Yes, it works even on a LYNEL! I haven't tried it on boss like enemies and everything, but it's so handy when you don't want to deal with an enemy! P.S. They won't drop any rewards or weapons though.
I use both bombs to get wood. Thus I have basically no cooldown and I can also cut (actually bomb) down multiple trees at once. Also, because I can throw them, I can bomb them in a close-mid range. I also had their fall each aimed to a specific direction, so I could bomb them all at one place.^^

orangeapples near waterfalls. I go down to the Faron region. There's like 6 waterfalls down there. Caught like 20 fish. Side note- if u stand on Floria Bridge down there at the right time, that dragon gets right there. Easy horns, ands claws.
Using stasis to stop them and stun them is more efficient, though. Flurry Rush uses up your weapon's durability and causes no extra damage, whereas stunning them, mounting them, and attacking them that way doesn't damage weapons at all and deals critical hit damage with every hit. Plus, with it being Stasis+ with a faster recharge time, it'll have recharged by the time you get thrown off.
Actually, do neither of these. The most efficient (and simple) way of dealing with it is to simply run out of the way. Then, while it is recoiling from the charge, you can mount it without having to waste any arrows or weapon durability to stun it.
Another reason why it's handy to mount a Lynel is because your weapon does not lose any durability when you're mounted. So you can use your best weapon without worrying about it breaking!
One thing that's useful for me is for chests that are on the beach in the sand, use magnesis from a safe distance before approaching. If it highlights then your good to collect it but If not, then it is one of those little octo things. Before I did this i would just walk right up and when they would pop up in front of me it would scare the shit out of me
A favorite tactic of mine is to save Thunder weapons and use them to make enemies drop their weapons. If one of my weapons breaks, I'll wait for an opening, zap them once, then take the enemy's weapon. Arrows work too. Doesn't work on Lynels though, so don't even try.
Do you have any cool Zelda tips for us? Let us know and we'll put our favorites into next week's video!

I once encountered a Yiga Blademaster in a thunderstorm. All I needed to do was wait until lightning struck him. lol
Love it lol
I wear Gerudo Helmet (which you can get after helping everybody in a city) and when the lightning strikes me, I don't get damage but all the enemies around do.
HINT!! If you cook a *Big Heart Radish* and four *Hearty Durians* it gives you *21* extra hearts. If you do it right before a blood moon, it gives you 22!
Edit: Gold hearts, not health restore. It fully restores your hearts, and gives you 22 EXTRA hearts.
What's the point if you can't go over 20 total hearts anyway
Dayzik the same point as getting 20 rather than 18 - it’s more hearts!
You can only have 22 hearts max, and that’s if you only have 3
okay, there are a few confusions here.
@@vitalik38815 What you mean? You can go 30
When you mount the lynel, once you backflip off of him pull your bow out and rain arrows down on his head. Also hitting a lynel while mounting him does NOT USE ANY DURABILITY. So quickly switch to your strongest weapon to do the most damage and waste no durability on it.
Now this is a tip i can use, thank you :)

No I dont do the Amibo shit, just loving the game, pro controller makes it even more fun and precise for bow shots and what not.
Correction on your point mounting a lynel:
it’s always worth it to mount and damage a lynel because it doesn’t take your weapons durability as you attack it, this is why you should always switch to your strongest beforehand (attack speed is constant even with heavy weapons).
and eat something lifting the attack power beforehand as well

There's probably some sort of combination where you get more hearts turning it into dubious food than with just the standard version :)
orangeapples Rocky food obviously is the best ;)
i made dubious food that recovered 10 hearts because i wanted to see what happened if i cooked a dragon horn
honestly I love the lack of hand holding. it's really fun to discover things by trial and error instead of being outright told them.
The game tells you anyway. Also, whoever said Zelda is the most handholding game is a liar and quite possibly never played the games.
The Original Legend of Zelda, Minish Cap, Four Sword, A Link to the Past, amongst many others are seriously head frying games.

Yes. I know. I said "basically" never breaks. Because I've never had one break, it is entirely possible to make it last forever.
Yeah but would you use a pot lid every time against a gaurdian or lynel? No? Thats what i thought
there's an easier route to get to the hylian shield, just paraglide from north of the moat into the docks area and there's a path there that takes you directly into the prison area, no need for the mine carts and bombable walls

big hearty radishes will give you +25 hearts if you cook 5

jonathon marshall that's the definition of excessive
True, but from what I can tell you can never exceed 30 total hearts (or my game just doesn't like me ;u;). Plus you get more heart value total if you make 5 hearty radish dishes with one radish each, since then you also get the full health boost plus the hearty bonus for each of them :) So it really all depends on your priorities whether or not it's a better benefit.
the proper order from lowest to highest goes truffle, bass, giant truffle, radish, durian, hearty radish.
About the lynel:
For some reason headshots don't always count. It's recommended to aim for the chin when shooting. Also your weapons don't loose durability when you're mounted on a lynel
if you shoot elemental enemy with the right element of arrows its a one shot kill.
Sora Heroshin **Oneshots four divine beast bosses**
You do more damage.Apart from fireblight , all enemies are weak to bomb arrows. (this is a joke!)
what elemental?
That’s why I hate electric enemies is cuz they have no weakness 😂😂😂
pakkawat komonman it depends, like if there’s a fire lizdalfo then shoot them an ice arrow or hit them with an ice weapon. INSTANT KILL
Mounting Lynels actually makes Link use the hilt of his weapons to stab him, which doesn't lower their durability whatsoever. So if you're able to stun and mount the Lynel again and again, you can defeat them with just arrows and not break any weapons. Definitely worth mentioning!
Charles Haverty You can even do it without arrows- use an upsraft from a fire or just climb a rock and jump/glide down on top of them.
The top reason you want to mount a lynel is the fact that when you attack them while on their backs, your weapon takes no damage.
Biggest thing this video taught me was that you could use bombs to propel minecarts, wtf.
KGhaleon exactly! I found it out on my own, but it was like whoa
Even though in this video they TELL you to use stasis, for whatever reason
I had to use the magnet and my fucking sword to move it LMFAO
I find it pretty useful to use stasis to find any hidden guardian amongst broken down guardians. Stasis is also great for finding items such as mushrooms or eggs. Also, any armor that reduces your movement sound is a plus. It makes it way easier to catch beetle and actually reduces your sound when swimming too. So sneaking up on fishes is a bonus too, unless your using bombs to fish. That works too.
Lynel’s are harder to beat than the final boss of the entire game...
and more entertaining too...

When fighting Lynels, I take advantage of flaming grass. I use upwards draft then fall down and shoot an arrow in slow motion to hit them in the face.
The charge attack on a lynel is the easiest thing to dodge so dont waste stasis on it. Just jump dodge left and unleash the flurry of attacks
Branden Sang ive actually started perfect blocking every and i do mean every lionel attack. even explosions
How is using stasis a waste? It's pretty much recharged once you hop off its back
Sure, waste your durability, risk death, waste your time...
