My 12 month old has been doing great sitting on the potty since 6 months old. However, lately he doesn't even want to sit on the potty. Help
Don't know what you've already tried, but here's my personal experience. My baby also resisted sitting (and still does at 16 months). Our trick was to hand him a toy or book while he was kicking and squirming around, which would make him calm down or distracted. Then we plopped him down once he was calm. Usually he would remain occupied by the toy/book and sit for a while to the point that sometimes he gets upset when we want to take him off the toilet. I've heard mirrors work pretty well to distract too. Hopefully Andrea will have other and/or better advice for you!
Have you tried dropping the cue? His timing might have also changed and not need to go as often. If this is the case you can try to offer a little less and see if that helps.
Distractions are also great tools to keep your little one sitting down long enough to go potty!
