Funny you brought that up.......I saw em a few years ago in the daylight as well. before Violent FEmmes...the crowd was talking like it was an outdoor party.
My take away from wanting to see Echo & the Bunnymen for years was a young kid in the audience in front of me in a denim jacket with a Pantera patch on the back of it filming the entire set.
@@lillymaycourt I’m guessing you are in the UK …. I’d definitely go see them again and again. But I live in the Philly area - East Coast USA . I’ve been seeing Echo since the 80’s . Last show was a year ago ??? Maybe 2 ?? Time is moving wayyyy to fast !!! “ Bring on the Dancing Horses “…..
Thanks so much for posting, but what is up with that totally sedated crowd !!!They should have been moshing / crowd surfing by the time ‘All That Jazz” blasted out 3 numbers into the set 🕺
This crowd sucks !! Every single time they have played in Philly , the crowd really gets into it . Not quite moshing but you know what I mean . The crowd is loud ., The crowd sings along with every song … Plus there are a lot more women attending. I didn’t really see any here in this vid . Unless they are all the way behind the cameraman . ( all I see are dudes )
The crowd seems lethargic . Must of been a hot one . All I know is that every time Echo has come to Philly Pa , the crowd is loud and sings along with every song . Rare to see moshing anymore . But that’s good . Not at my age !!! Echo has been one of my favorite bands since the mid 80’s . Always a pleasure to see them play . The first time I saw them , ( are you ready ?? )…. Gene Loves Jezebel opened up for them . Haha “ Little bit of Heartache never hurt anyone “.
@@tubes5150 I think they had a falling out quite a long time ago. Each has their own thing. I've seen Jay Aston perform a few times. But his brother goes under the GL j name.
@@SusieDavidsonBrookl What I would give to go back to the 80’s …. I was very undecided on who what where I wanted to be . My friends called me “ the chameleon “ haha 😂. Did a woman barf at th-cam.com/video/7ophYsWGvYw/w-d-xo.html ? Whatever it was, it disturbed a bunch of people. You also walked right into where it happened right after it happened. Any insight?
Yeah, it was me. I had heat stroke and took an ambulance ride to the hospital. My apologies, it came on within a matter of minutes. Sadly I missed the rest of the show
I love the bunnymen, but poor Ian is turning into an incoherent, babbling old drunk like Mark E. Smith, and the cigs have really taken a toll on his voice.
That has changed again in the last couple of years. His interviews are much more lucid now and he seems a bit fitter and happier. Struggling with back pain these days too.
Haha He once told me to “ Fuck Off “ . Haha Years ago - in Philly - I was in the front row and I cheered when he said something about John Lennon . Either I misunderstood him … Or he misunderstood me . Regardless I laughed my ass off cause it was an honor to be told to “ F Off “ by Mac . Haha 😂
Weird seeing them in the day light
They are definitely an after dark band, 100 per cent! 🎑

Will Sergeant has such a distinctive and original sound - one of the most talented guitarists of all time. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for posting this couldn't make show...now i feel like i am there. Sad to see us all getting older.
There were so many people of ages at the show! Don't worry the music will never die same as the fans!
This is my favorite post from the event so far Ian and the band were in great shape great set thanks for posting. 👍😎
Still waiting for you to come to Colorado.
missing them in Phoenix tonight. thanks for sharing!
New wave legends Ian and Will cheers
Post punk actually
@@valdotc8559 Came here to say the same exact thing.
The band themselves really don’t like “New Wave”.
Cheers from longtime KROQ 106.7 FM fans in L.A. / Marina Del Rey. Enjoy the Heat
