I ordered the acoustic guitar on November 23. I’m getting the American Eagle acoustic guitar as soon as it gets here and I’m kind of excited about it. The tracking and communication is pretty opaque and I’ve been really nervous since I put the guitar on my credit card. I was looking for a patriotic guitar for a while.
I can sell you mine when I get it. But mine isn’t signed. Willing to open it for proof but not play it. Willing to part with it for $4000. Let me know.
If a guitar as described is delivered at the price advertised, it’s not a scam. However, these guitars don’t have the potential as a profitable investment that many are hoping. Trump has so many endorsed and autographed things on the market, there is not the scarcity aspect for that alone. Yes, there is greater scarcity for guitars that are autographed and endorsed, but you have to temper that with the demand for such an item and if that demand will command the price being asked. If it were a stellar guitar and manufactured by a high profile and respected manufacturer, it would really help. If Trump was known for playing guitar, it would really help. This is a high dollar item among many items in a flooded marketplace of Trump endorsed items. An endorsed item with a signature is readily available for much less, and that is really what you are paying for if the Trump association is why one thinks it will be desired. Collectibility is also greatly influenced by nostalgia and the longevity of its appeal. Trump’s core demographic skews older and, like his demographic, Trump himself is not likely to have a long lifespan or career ahead of him for the market demand to increase over the decades to come. If you buy one because you want it, enjoy it. Unfortunately, if you are parking your money in this high priced guitar with the thought of it being a high return investment, I’m afraid the odds are not in your favor.
I'll politely disagree. The American Eagle "electric" series are 1300 and that's it. Of that 1300, only 275 are autographed. Of those, Trump is keeping 25 for himself leaving only 250 of the signed American Eagle "electric" guitars sold to the public in the world. Trump will keep a few and give a few away of the 25 he's keeping. I assume #'s 1 thru 25. Numbers 26 thru 275 are the only ones going to the public. Presidential memorabilia's very collectable. And depending on rarity, very valuable. Trump is probably one of the most controversial and high profile presidents in history. Two x assassination attempts to name two of quite a few high profile events. The "Make America Great Again" on the neck will also be very rooted in American culture for decades to come. One of the most hated and loved presidents to ever hold office. Not once but twice. I'll sum it up this way. There are millionaires and billionaires who love Trump. There are millionaires and billionaires who hate Trump. The haters would pay a million to set one on fire and make a big public/global event about it. The lovers would pay a million just to say they have one. Ten, fifteen, twenty years from now if you have a signed one, unplayed, in mint condition, with all the gravitas, (original box, receipts, certificate etc...) you are golden. It's not a scam it's an investment. And you forgot he has children who will carry his legacy forward. Merry Christmas.
These are functioning guitars but at the end of the day this is expensive wall art purchased by people who love their president and country. As for Gibson going after Trump guitars, what a joke. People who buy Gibson’s are buying for the name but if you want a bargain, dependable work horse buy an Epiphone, God Bless America and Merry Christmas.
Not to mention there are several other manufacturers who make Les Paul copies that are every bit as close in appearance as these guitars are, and Gibson isn't going after them.
No to Epiphony! For a dependable, excellent quality workhorse at great prices, buy a Harley Benton or a Firefly. I can say this as a Casino owner for around 20 years. Mine is great, but I wouldn't buy one now since even their prices are now ridiculous.
The Gibson C&D to Trump guitars is literally a shitty woke attack from a shitty company. The headstock is different and even the body shape is different. That is like Chevy C&D-ing Ford because they chose to add a windshield and 4 wheels to their cars.
If Gibson aren't serious about it, maybe they're just doing it for free publicity (hoping that some Trump-hating news outlets will make a story out if it), and/or to cover themselves against allegations of supporting Trump?
@@espltd978 To tell you the truth, I don’t think I would spend anything near that for my next car 🚘! I get nervous shopping for guitars on the used market when they exceed $350.00, and that’s in CAD!
They probably aren't the best guitars ever made. They also don't have to be. I'm sure a lot of the people who bought them have never played a guitar in their life and have no intention of ever doing so. It's just a collectable that is probably going to be hanging on somebody's wall.
Trump signed those all at Maralago. I have wide photos that showed the 250+ guitars stacked on numerous tables that he could walk besides and sign each of them. It’s a big place, and they made it easy for him.
@alfsmith4936 People do have them. There are photos of customer guitars in this video, and people in the comments who ordered and received guitars of their own. Someone in the comments had made an admittedly basic video of their signed Trump guitar.

Great video Max! I do like the way you keep politics out of the report. These guitars have value as Trump memorabilia, they are collectables, some people may play them, just as some people may play sport in their gold Trump branded sneakers, but most will be either on display or tucked away as case queens, waiting to be admired or flipped.
Trump memorabilia isn't collectable. It's all over Ebay already and it doesn't sell. If it's hard to shift while he's popular, the market is going to be more limited than the supply, by the time he's out of office. He's the new Ty Beanie Baby.
Thanks Max for the update. I appreciate the guitar as a collector piece. I wish we knew where they were made. Mexico? Also, I wonder what kind of pickups are in it. Would be nice to have abalone inlay on the 'Make America Great Again'. Locking tuners would be nice too. Got bills to pay, or I would get one. I do like the box it comes in too.
Everything about these guitars screams "make as cheap as possible for the biggest profit possible". If you want to buy cause you want to support him or collect, I get it, but the idea that these are good quality instruments is insane and was obviously never their intention.
You need to obtain one of the Trump guitars that has been delivered to a U.S. customer to do an in-depth quality analysis. Many of the Chinese guitar manufacturers produce that guitar that looks beautiful and flawless, until you get into the set up, cheap humbuckers, dime size pots, loose saddles, plastic nuts, unlevel rough frets....etc. Chibsons are being manufacture and sold at a profit in the $200 dollar range.
I just ordered one of them without the autograph, and card services contacted me to verify the charge. When they read the list of transactions for me to verify, this one was listed as "music store, Nashville Tennessee", can anyone say "Gibson Garage" ?
Wow, dies ANYONE in the UNIVERSE believe like a cult member? BTW "music store, Nashville Tennessee" has no internet presence and seems to NOT EXIST. Coincidence?
@@nunyabusiness5075 "music store, Nashville Tennessee" is merely a description of the business, not a name. So sorry you were triggered enough to waste your time searching. MERRY CHRISTMAS!, HAPPY NEW YEAR! and HAPPY INAUGURATION DAY!

The guitar snobs are missing the point. Most people buying these are not gear specialists or even players. As a collector it should however be a good investment.
They are back for sale... Also, if you read my previous comments on this, I was 100% sure this was not a scam. I didn't say it was a good purchase, but knew it wasnt' a scam. And you have to admit that Trump is a mastermind of business. These guitars are going to be worth a fortune someday, even if they don't play very well... Stay blessed! Happy New Year!
I reckon the right TH-camr could justify the expense by making a series of videos leveraging the guitar's notoriety, the politicisation of society, the popularity of the Trump dance etc.
It figures that Gibson...they sue everybody that tries to copy their instruments. Fender OTOH on orders from Leo Fender himself always open sourced their guitars. He said the copies could be helping feed a family. I am not a hater of Gibson, they have some great guitars.
The fact they don't say where it was crafted is really suspicious. It's most likely a guitar that is worth $400 max, but they are pricing it in the thousands. Definitely a scam
Made in Mexico wouldn't even be that bad - given that a lot of Fender-branded guitars are really made in Mexico. Squier, their budget line, comes mainly from China, but if you are lucky enough to get one made out of Alder wood with a rosewood fretboard, made in Taiwan (it will have a Chinese serial number, but you can look it up on the Squier site to confirm the wood & country of origin) for a hundred or two, you can strip it entirely, repaint it, coat it in nitrocellulose, put about $600 into totally rebuilding it with Fender Custom Shop parts, custom Lindy-Fralin-style wiring & custom handwound pickups. You'll end up with a guitar that can compete with or surpass in playability and tone capability any Custom Shop guitar that costs many times more. But, you need a luthier or have your own luthier skills to do it.
Is Biden endorsing one too? Shit......it's 2020 Again? Dude go buy one and get on here tell us how great it is......show...... ain't hard. Shut yer mouth till you have seen or played one. Your politics is aside from a possible shill, and yeah Trump and Biden are full of them.
Yep; not a scam. But not good value for money either. This is what bugs me: everyone is "doin' it tuff", "the cost of groceries is through the roof" etc etc. But, somewhere out there, some people can find $1500 to buy what without the 'Trump' stuff would be a $300 Chibson. As for the $11,000 signed ones: I have a gold Sharpie similar to the one Trump was shown signing them with. I hope they put another layer of lacquer over the signature afterwards, because in my experience those things rub off easily.

I'm in Orkney, and I thought I was imagining things!!! A bit breezy here, but it's a very warm wind though!!! 😲 🤔 And Merry Christmas to you and your family!!! 😀
Congratulations!
Patriotic guitars are made in the USA
@@jimsego We changed the definition of Patriotic. Didn't you hear? Our people are barely made in the USA anymore. 😜
Anyone who bought one of these ridiculous guitars is an absolute FOOL😂😂😂 Cult much??😂😂😂

I want a Trump guitar
I can sell you mine when I get it. But mine isn’t signed. Willing to open it for proof but not play it. Willing to part with it for $4000. Let me know.
It should be the official guitar of the upcoming Kid Rock/Nickelback tour. And yes, that's a real thing too, lol.
The bolt on neck part is my favorite even more than the Amerca inlay
That part! 😂
Making a fretless guitar would fix the "I" issue.
It's their money. Rock on
Not anymore
@thegodhead free will
If a guitar as described is delivered at the price advertised, it’s not a scam.
This is kinda wierd because i imagine trump plays a 9 string ibanez😂😂😂😂😂
Trump's hands are too small to play a one string guitar.

@GuitarMax great and in-depth review. very well researched. Love the fact that you looked at the reflection of the fingers.
Can you get your hands on one of those guitars and make a video review of it?
dude you could just look into the toilet next time you shit and review complete.
I am just chiming in for that glorious WrestleMania VI shirt!
Wait so you don't have the guitar and you posted this title. Dang
You are a deluded nutcase.
It looks like a mudflap I saw at buckees
Merry Christmas everyone and to you _'max'... N ur family❤
I don't know much about guitars, but in the world of electronic test equipment the "QC passed" sticker is commonly associated with rubbish.
Especially if the QC guy was drunk and smoking crack.......
I just want to see a review of those guitars. How well are they built? How well do they play? How well do they sound?
The Gibson C&D to Trump guitars is literally a shitty woke attack from a shitty company. The headstock is different and even the body shape is different. That is like Chevy C&D-ing Ford because they chose to add a windshield and 4 wheels to their cars.
Ah yes the crease and decist. Oldest truck in the woke book.
"woke attack" 😂
If Gibson aren't serious about it, maybe they're just doing it for free publicity (hoping that some Trump-hating news outlets will make a story out if it), and/or to cover themselves against allegations of supporting Trump?
Happy Christmas Big Chief.
They look like they were made from DIY kits.
😝Too funny and harsh at the same time! Let’s Make America Build Back Better…..guitars that is.🎸👍
@ckelly5141 Imagine spending over 10 grand for an autographed DIY guitar!! 😂🎸🎶
@@jd9119 Yes…..probably right.✅

11:00 Took me a while to notice the Yngwie Malmsteen's Force vitamin gummies.
Trump signed those all at Maralago. I have wide photos that showed the 250+ guitars stacked on numerous tables that he could walk besides and sign each of them. It’s a big place, and they made it easy for him.
Well they'll all have been shipped then, won't they?.. If they were ready to go months ago, why has nobody got one?
@alfsmith4936 People do have them. There are photos of customer guitars in this video, and people in the comments who ordered and received guitars of their own. Someone in the comments had made an admittedly basic video of their signed Trump guitar.
@@MathsYknow I must've missed them because I was looking at the comments section... I'll have a look for the review. I was hoping Trogly would do one by now but like a lot of guitar youtubers, he's probably scared of offending people, whichever way it goes..
11:40 Do they come in donut flavor? Asking for a friend 😂
Someone: The Les Paul couldn’t be an uglier guitar.
Trump: Hold my Big Mac.
Woah the les paul is a beautiful guitar what you mean
Thanks Max for the update. I appreciate the guitar as a collector piece. I wish we knew where they were made. Mexico? Also, I wonder what kind of pickups are in it. Would be nice to have abalone inlay on the 'Make America Great Again'. Locking tuners would be nice too. Got bills to pay, or I would get one. I do like the box it comes in too.
All Chinese!
Everything about these guitars screams "make as cheap as possible for the biggest profit possible". If you want to buy cause you want to support him or collect, I get it, but the idea that these are good quality instruments is insane and was obviously never their intention.
4:30 You can see the reflection of his tie and shirt as well.
Of course, since you went there, Max, I put it to you, good sir, you must get one and put it through its paces, and analyze its worthiness vs, price.
Why don't you do it?
Love the guitar

@@nunyabusiness5075???? When card services calls you to verify charges on your credit card, they don't tell you the name of the business, but only a description of the business, so Amazon might be described as "online retailer", etc. So, the charge for the guitar was listed as "music store, Nashville Tennessee".

The guitar snobs are missing the point. Most people buying these are not gear specialists or even players. As a collector it should however be a good investment.

They will be made in north Korea and have a hammer and sickle on them

I'm 5'6 1/2" and have shaken Donald's hand a number of times, including decades ago. His hands were no bigger, if as big, as mine.
I'd like to hear the guitar. Can you get a recording or video of it?
I voted for the guy but 11k on a guitar is ridiculous
If I take force multivitamins will i look at vibrant and healthy as Ywingme Malmsteen?
Yes.
Wood sourced from Canada made in Mexico.
😝👍
LMFAO
Probably.
@@BlueSun4886 Yup…or….i could just buy that Squier and do nothing to it and save hundreds of dollars…especially in this economy!

Nonsensical take. The folks who can't afford groceries aren't going to buy $11k guitars, obviously
