One thing I really like about sunshine is how the controls are kind of an inverse of what we see in odyssey; in Sunshine, Mario’s movement is fast and unrestricted so they add the fludd pack to allow for precise platforming, while in Odyssey, Mario’s base movement is restricted to make tight platforming more manageable, so they added cappy for more unrestricted and free movement.

@@jadencoucopoulos2567 It's 30 Coins per Level. Delfino Plaza only has it's Coins split between the Plaza, the Air Strip and Corona Mountain.

In my first few minutes playing odyssey, while running around, I actually didn't like how the controls felt. But the grew on me very quickly. I actually really love them now!

I think Odyssey is the best 3D Mario, and 64 and Sunshine are tied for 2nd place.
The Galaxy games are in the middle tier...and 3D Land and 3D World are bottom tier 3D Mario games.

I've never played Sunshine before, but this video really makes me want to! Also I loved the use of the avatars at the beginning and end!
One thing I learned about this game: it’s the only game (as far as I’m aware) where you can perform a Side Somersault from a standstill.
Also, I hate to be that guy, but to all of those who are seriously connecting Corona Mountain to Coronavirus, remember that this game came out in 2002. Corona Mountain is a volcano, and the word “corona” is mostly associated with the Sun, a giant ball of gas and fire.

This really is a sunshine adventure.
I really appreciate the use of color; between the tropical stages, peculiar enemies, and various types of goop, this game screams spectacular color.
Yoshi was also fun. I hate how he dissolves in water, but otherwise, it's a blast to use Yoshis in 3D for the first time.
I actually like the cutscenes. Yes, hearing Bowser speak was strange, but I low-key loved that.
I'm surprised you didn't gush over the music in the Red Coin Fish stage; it's one of the most pleasant Mario tunes ever...😊

This game was the highlight of my childhood. I remember back when I was 4 or 5 my cousins were playing this game and after they passed me the controller. I grew a connection for this game to this day.

Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite childhood mario game ever full on because the location is based on Hawaii, my homeland. I also consider the game underrated but it's a rough call considering it has representation on Super Smash Bros Ultimate with FLUDD actually integrated into Mario's moves set and Delfino Plaza is a selectable stage.
This is my favorite form of mario everything seeming like it's a party all the time, mostly cuz it's a island resort, the cutscenes had the direction the water felt fresh and looked amazing the levels had a goal that matched (cleaning the goop off the island) and at certain points in your progress extras come in like yoshi becoming available and the extra nozzles the sun light spreading over the plaza more and more as you collect more shines the fact that the shinesprites aren't stars but shine in a more rewarding way. The level select screen was everything, I'd constantly revisit levels just to see the shinesprite sparkle my screen to white. It's a very refreshing game, galaxy perfectly captured space while sunshine perfectly captured paradise.
